62% of the General Public Support Mandatory Booster Jabs, According to YouGov Poll

by Luke Perry
22 November 2021 5:55 PM
Influenza vaccine injection. Injection into a patient's arm of the 2018/2019 seasonal influenza (flu) vaccine for the northern hemisphere season. This is a quadrivalent inactivated vaccine designed for intramuscular and subcutaneous injection. Inactivated influenza vaccines contain dead influenza viruses. When injected, these stimulate the body's immune system to produce antibodies that protect against future infection by live viruses. Influenza vaccination is recommended for the elderly, the very young, and anyone suffering from respiratory or circulatory disease. It is provided annually because of the need to protect against new strains. This is a vaccine from the Sanofi Pasteur Europe company.

According to a recent YouGov poll, 62% of the general public would support including the booster jab as a requirement under a vaccine passport scheme, which would prohibit those who haven’t received a booster jab from entering certain public venues, with only 25% expressing opposition to making the booster jab compulsory. In addition, 71% said that a booster jab should be mandatory, but only for those considered to be in a high-risk category who wish to enter public spaces such as restaurants. YouGov has more.

In the U.K, Health Secretary Sajid Javid has said that the Government was not looking at the idea yet but declined to rule it out altogether.

New research from YouGov reveals that the vast majority of people would support mandating a booster jab for not only the elderly or vulnerable but the wider population as well.

Overall, 69% of people would support making booster jabs a requirement for people aged 65 years old and over – including 45% strongly supportive of the idea. Only one in five people (21%) would oppose such an idea.

A similar 71% of the public would support a booster mandate for people considered to be at high risk from Covid who want to visit restaurants or use public transport.

Just shy of two-thirds of people (62%) would also support making booster jabs a requirement for the general public. This includes 36% who “strongly” support doing so. A quarter of people (25%) would oppose such a mandate on the general public.

It is the older generations who are most in favour of these mandates, even when they selectively apply to older people. Some 84% of those aged 65 years-old and over would support a requirement for people their age to have a booster before visiting public spaces. This compares to six in ten (60%) of people aged between 18 and 24 years-old who would also support such a policy.

This older age group are also the most likely to support a mandate on boosters for those at high-risk from Covid (86%) and a similar proportion would support one on the general public (82%). Only 48% of those aged between 18 and 24 years-old would support a booster requirement on the general public, with 34% opposed.

Worth reading in full.

Stop Press: A new poll from SavantaComRes has made a similar finding: 45% of U.K. adults would support an indefinite lockdown of the unvaccinated.

🇬🇧 Almost half of UK adults support an indefinite lockdown for those who have not had 2 vaccinations

45% support, 32% oppose

Good luck implementing that …

By magic, YouGov polling always finds majority support for the policies the Coronauts currently want to push.

One should really remember that the polls also already predicted that Brexit wouldn’t happen, Theresa May would win a landslide victory and that Jeremy Corbyn would be a challenging opponent for Boris Johnson.

WuGov, started by Nadhim Zahawi who keeps failing upwards.

Even if the results aren’t being outright bought in Westminster, they’ll be decided in Beijing. I cannot think of any reason why the Mandarin Empire wouldn’t throw a tiny fraction of its surplus manpower into flooding all online Western polls and nudging us towards a simulacrum of itself.

Totally agree, my experience with polls is that the questions are deliberately loaded to get the answers that the pollsters (more specifically their funders) want. The recent joke of a consultation on ‘vaccine passports’ is a good example. However this will likely be all over the Daily Fail tomorrow.

“…the population into believing jews are the problem…” Your post has a strange hysterical tone. The population of the UK does not believe that Jews are the problem. They are only dimly aware of their existence. They constitute about half of one percent of the UK population (2011 Census). There is no “anti-Jew” propaganda in any UK mainstream media, it would be illegal. People can be, & have been, prosecuted. Severely. I think you should take your hysteria & leave us.

At least 62% of the public get their information from the MSM
Meanwhile, across Europe and UK, people take to the streets in their tens of thousands to resist the totalitarian globalist putsch.
We need a British version of Bannon’s War Room to push the truth out.

Clearly these polls are more opinion forming than opinion seeking.

I have mixed feelings about the DS publishing them. On the one hand it’s informative, on the other hand they are rather demoralising and is that what the DS is after?

Is this info not going to be on every major news outlet anyway. Why not stick to the sceptical stuff?

Even on their own biased polling, it equates to around 10-15 million adults in the UK opposing a mandatory booster shot.

It is the older generations who are most in favour of these mandates, even when they selectively apply to older people.

The young probably have an excuse not to be properly informed about who and how the vaxxes protect, since they don’t trouble themselves with the MSM. The older generation have rather less excuse; except that they seem in large numbers to believe the MSM seek genuinely to disseminate news, rather than an editorial position.
I meet very few of my contemporaries who know, or have questioned, anything about the jabs, their effects and how they are supposed to protect against covid. It really is a rather depressing state of affairs.

There’s very much a point in this: It’s supposed to inform equally scientifically ignorant MPs which policies currently command popular support. After all, something doesn’t have to make sense for it to be something which will improve an MP’s standing with the electorate, it’s just necessary that a majority of the electorate wants it to make sense.

Their “sample” of the UK population for this poll is 1,696, out of a total population of over 68 million. And YouGuv reckons that demonstrates that 62% of the “general public” would support including the booster jab under the vax passport scheme. Surely that’s 62% of 1,696? And how come I never get invited to participate in these polls?!

There is a disconnect between polls and reality here.. One expects comments on sceptical sites (like this) to be of one flavour. But the official BBC YouTube clip on their coverage of the European protests was hugely, hugely supportive of the protests, with only the occasional mainstream view.

Now the preponderance of scepticism there is certainly not owing to the bias of the channel. Nor is it explicable by an organised campaign or Russian bots. So either (conceivably) the desire to comment is several thousand time greater amongst dissidents than compliers (which I suppose is possible, showing that support for totalitarianism is mainly amongst the apathetic), or else all these polls are grossly misrepresenting the mood of the country.

If this is true (always question polls), this is insane. But we must remember that a plurality of people think that 10% or more of people who get Covid die, and that vaccines remain effective at stopping infections as well as death. The British population is entirety uninformed thanks to all the propaganda from BBC et al.

When we start talking about rewriting society to stop a virus with a current IFR of .1, Western society is dead.

Of course it might just be 30% of people just say yes because they don’t want to be called granny killer.

Suppose the polls are correct? The usual purpose of polls is to see what a majority wishes, assuming that the minority will acquiesce (for example, if the poll is correct about a Labour election victory, those who vote against will shrug until the next election).

But if 38% are being forced to take a vaccine, or 32% oppose being locked down permanently, we should not expect the normal peaceable scruples of a democracy to apply. The country would rapidly become ungovernable, if not anarchic.

Let’s hope the politicians at least realise that civil war is not a good thing to precipitate.

And of course no one is ever fully vaccinated! It was a useless or indeed misleading statement. These vaccines were always going to be like the flu vaccine but no one seemed to want to admit that. I agree with you – but at least the flu vaccine was always voluntary – you was never refused travel, jobs, access to sports venues, restaurants and theatres etc etc because you hadn’t had the annual flu jab The health service is already short staffed but can you imagine the pressure on the NHS if the entire population had to be vaccinated every few months – it would be chaos – how many vital operations, treatments and scans for much more fatal diseases than covid would be delayed due to lack of staff and resources – all too busy giving out mandatory jabs for a virus that for the overwhelming vast majority of people has a 99.7% survival rate .

if Ron De Santos won’t come to save us then I’ll go to Ron De Santos to save myself from this madness … if the Floridian governor announced that asylum would be provided for all the European unvaccinated who are being persecuted by their governments then I would seriously consider leaving for Florida tomorrow.

Bollox to Boris.

Extract from a letter sent to the NZ Medical Council from a retired Doctor in Tauranga.

“… the still birth rate has rocketed. Usually there are 114 still births per year for the entire country but in just two weeks Hastings alone had 9 still births in vaccinated mothers who were following your advice to get the vaccine. You are responsible for the death of those babies. You have blood on your hands. I suppose you are also in denial regarding the deaths of teenagers.

We have 2 siblings dead after the vaxathon in Christchurch – a girl aged 15 and a boy aged 17. Plus a 17 year old boy in Northland and a 13 year old in the South Island – both dead the day after their vaccination -and a 14 year old boy in South Auckland who died 2 hours after his vaccination. Also the 17 year old girl whose death should have stopped the roll out but was instead blamed, prior to any autopsy report, on the pill – which she had been prescribed some time prior so therefore the GP would have checked for clotting risk factors at that point in time.

I know a lot more about this case then you do as I know close family friends. I am also aware that the government has asked families involved with severe adverse reactions and deaths to sign waivers that come with financial settlements. This blatant attempt to further cover up vaccine failures is abhorrent, as is the gagging of the media at the cost of millions of dollars of tax payer money.

Why don’t you speak up against this propaganda ? Why do you sit quietly and do nothing while the government promotes a drug that should never have passed Medsafe? And to add insult to injury, in promoting the vaccine you have violated the Nuremberg Code in its entirety. You might like to look that up and familiarise yourself with your offences. You are all guilty of crimes against humanity. And if you think I am exaggerating, you are wrong.

I have all of your names and I have forwarded them – except for Dr Goodman, who I know is in her heart a very decent person – along with the names of Dr Bryan Betty and Dr Samantha Murton and the NZ board of the RANZCOG, to Dr Reiner Fuelmich. Dr Fuelmich is an international trial lawyer who has successfully sued large fraudulent corporations eg Volkswagen and Deutsche Bank. His worldwide network of lawyers has listened to over a hundred experts from every field of science and medicine relating to the current PCR / Covid fraud. In due course he intends to put a Nuremberg 2 trial through the International Criminal Court.

Finally, I do not wish to be associated with a scientifically ignorant organisation that has lost its ability to practice evidence based medicine, has banned open debate, censors its doctors, allows politicians to decide how best to treat patients, has abandoned the principal of informed consent and, worst of all, has broken its promise to first do no harm. I hold you in the utmost contempt as do many New Zealanders. I shall see you on the other side of history. My conscience will be clear but may God have mercy on you”.

From the reddit group
https://www.reddit.com/r/LockdownSceptics/comments/qz96gf/todays_comments_20211122/
Peter McCullough on Telegram:
Pushback Against Unnecessary, Ill-Advised, and Unlawful Mandates of Investigational Vaccines
Since the wave of public and private entity COVID-19 vaccine mandates this summer, there has been progressively stiffer resistance from a public that knows the mandates are unethical, immoral, and from a civil perspective—illegal. Because none of the COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, JNJ) are FDA approved or commercially sold by vaccine manufacturers to the public, Americans know the consent forms indicate vaccination can only be voluntary and that the vaccine products do not have proven safety or efficacy.
Thus, the consent forms by themselves are a clear indicator that no entity can “mandate” participation in a clinical investigation or research. Rates of COVID-19 vaccination plummeted in April of 2021 when word got out that Americans were dying and becoming injured after the injection in large numbers. Analyses from Rose and McLachlan using the CDC VAERS system indicated that 50% of the deaths occurred within 48 hours, 80% within a week, and 86% of the time, there was no other explanation other than the vaccine must have triggered the death.
From that point forward, there was a series of perverted efforts to seduce vaccination, including free donuts, beer, million-dollar raffles, college scholarships, and most recently, a free fling in a European brothel. But sadly, for the purveyors of vaccines, reasonable people felt no tasty donut or even a quickie was worth their life at the end of a needle loaded with mRNA or adenoviral DNA coding for the Wuhan Spike protein.
The vaccine stakeholders became impatient over the summer as vaccine hesitancy appropriately grew with reports of vaccine failures in large numbers of patients resulting in hospitalization and death and clear signals that the vaccines lost their protection after a short six months. The result of these events was vaccine mandates.
Students bore the brunt of the first wave of mandates after a few semesters of online classes; students were ready to return to campus but not at the risk of organ system injury or worse after unnecessary COVID-19 vaccination. There was pushback and even embarrassing outbreaks of COVID-19 among vaccinated students at Duke University that reminded the public again that the vaccines don’t work well enough to mandate.
But the continued coercion picked up steam with employment. At first, they came from private companies such as health systems which had profited richly from COVID-19 hospitalizations over 2020 and 2021. There were no major US hospital outbreaks of COVID-19 due to good airflow standards and the use of reasonable contagion control methods. Yet, health systems proudly announced COVID-19 vaccine mandates and had no concerns about firing the same workers who risked their lives as frontline workers caring for patients with COVID-19, many of whom who could not benefit from a vaccine since they were naturally immune after COVID-19 recovery.
Finally, with President Biden, OSHA, an entire wave of mandates came together that indeed pleased the vaccine stakeholders thirsting to achieve their lofty goal of “a needle in every arm” no matter how unwanted, unsafe, or ineffective the vaccines had become. The COVID-19 public vaccine program had become the epitome of forcing a failure on failure to its complete end on a public who had no desire to have repeated injections that were clearly not up to acceptable standards. Thus court filings, appeals, overturns, more filings have challenged a legal system that has become vaccine-corrupt under its own pressures to become vaccinated. With the suspension of jury trials, a hearing before a group of peers is no longer part of our legal process, and as a result, “fairness” has been lost.
On this week’s Report, we will update the status of vaccine mandates and hear from pediatrician Steve Kebe, MD, who weighs in on COVID-19 in children and the dangers of ill-advised vaccination of this group, which is now largely immune, not proven to be any public health threat, and in whom the risks far outweigh the benefits of participating in vaccine research.

Where are the pro vaxxers rallying? When will we see them marching in the tens of thousands? If they feel as strongly about their position as we on the other side feel about ours, why aren’t we seeing them filling city streets?
When the governments get away from heavy-handed coercion and try heavy–handed cajoling, the response is pitifully small. Campaigns aimed at getting the young vaccinated offering bribes like concert tickets have fallen on their face.

As usual, nonsense. Did they poll some bots? Or is it the vaccinated who will not admit that they were wrong who are now retaliating while they are maimed so everyone else can share their fate?

Having filled in yougov polls for a year now I can safely say they are utterly meaningless, the questions are designed to elicit a certain answer. It’s the “when did you stop beating your wife” type of question, please stop giving publicity to this shameless propaganda.

Correct; you have to be wary of questions which give no “Don’t know” option; I am a long time YouGov account holder mainly for the fun of reading the largely rabid POVs on key issues but have consistently done as you and taken sceptical position on many issues – result , very few invitations.

Have complained several times about the “entrapment” answers – nil response

Unfortunately, this government listens to opinion polls far more than it does evidence based science. I think those that use YouGov are predominantly left-leaning and socialist, so it’s no surprise they would like to see more state led interventionism. But polls are only a small sample from a particular cohort and not what the majority of the population think.
And even if this is a popular move amongst the public, the government are there to act in our best interests, not just do what the public want.

I no longer understand the world we live in when people will so readily give up their freedoms and rights. Dark days ahead.

The people who trust a You Gov poll or a poll rolled out by a Govt funded commercial organisation are the same people who are amongst those now in hospital suffering the side effects of the ‘vaccine’.- still believing the fiction

Literally unbelievable. When the Party buys a poll result from WuGov it typically shows 72% in favour of more Party.

Someone slipped up here, I expect MiniTruth will correct the figures shortly.

It just proves how ill informed/mentally lazy most people are.
Of course we can rely on the poll as YouGov is an independent organisation with no narrative!

I was amazed the other day when speaking to my older sister (a Phd in biochemistry) that she thought the jabs would give her 95% protection and stop all transmission. I just hope she remembers what I told her!
So, there you have a retired scientist , high IQ, completely hoodwinked.

The vaccinated want their decision to be validated (perhaps deep down they are a bit nervous about it), and the government making it mandatory is one way to do that.

Yougov polls are often very biased due to the way the question is biased to give the answer they want and also the way they select the people they ask. I think confidence in the results of these polls is completely lost once the way the above aspects have been investigated in past inaccurae results are taken into account.

I have been saying for years that democracy is ill-suited to the complexity of our modern world because you have a majority (unthinking, uneducated, lazy and easily-influenced sheep) who get manipulated by those in charge. I suspect this poll result is bollocks but the fact that even a small % think there should be compulsory boosters proves my point.

Here’s a question, “Would you support mandatory vaccination or the gang rape of your family?” 62% of the UK said they support mandatory vaccination. What question were they asked? Does anyone know?

Poll question:
Would you rather agree with the answer I’ve just put in front of you, or have your arms cut off?
