In this week’s London Calling podcast, the topics are the murder of Sir David Amess and the unseemly haste with which politicians tried to weaponise it, Elon Musk eclipsing Jeff Bezos to become the richest man in the world (a victory for lockdown sceptics), James’s going hunting with Laurence Fox, Greta Thunberg’s dancing video, the hiring then firing of Matt Hancock by the UN, and, in culture corner, Squid Game, the new Bond and season three of Succession. Big news of the week: James has finally finished the audio book of Crime and Punishment.

RIP Sir David Amess.
Seemed like a decent bloke. Which is I guess why the exact opposite of a decent bloke found his existence intolerable.
If somebody murdered Dungford, would Wales forthwith be declared an independent nation?
Lest we forget, Mr Musk’s wealth overwhelmingly comes from government contracts, subsidies and regulations. SpaceX rakes in taxpayer money that would previously have gone to NASA. Tesla is only profitable on paper because other manufacturers buy “carbon credits” from it – they still make a whopping loss on each car they manufacture.
Musk is, in essence, a hugely successful parasite, the most Statist of rebels.
Spot on!
And his collaboration with an organized crime syndicate, a.k.a. The (clinton/bush) Democrats
Some say Bezos has links with the C.I.A and Amazon being part of a deep state covert operation. It’s probably just foil hat wearers theory. But it makes an entertaining read, another reason why we should never allow the online harms bill to be passed!
It just goes to show how little loyalty Tories have for anything or anyone, neither colleagues, community nor country.
The man probably isn’t even buried yet & they’re exploiting him & his memory.
I’m not a conservative & have never voted tory, but he seemed a reasonable bloke, shame on them for politicizing his death.
RIP
