We’re publishing an original piece today by Bella Wallersteiner, a Senior Parliamentary Assistant, setting out the case against trying to induce young people to get the jab by making entry to pubs/clubs/festivals conditional on showing a ‘Covid Status Certificate’. Here is an extract:
After a year in which many young people have lost their jobs, missed out great chunks of the curriculum in schools and universities and were forbidden from seeing their friends, coercing them into taking the jab is a perverse strategy. Altruistic young people worked in food banks, collected medicine and went shopping for elderly neighbours who were shielding or, inspired by the example of Captain Tom Moore, raised funds for the NHS. Instead of receiving praise for demonstrating resilience and kindness, young people are now being maligned for showing ambivalence in coming forward to take a vaccine which may do them harm. More needs to be done to convince them that the vaccine is safe and effective and that the eradication of COVID-19 requires all citizens to join together in an act of solidarity.
Once vaccines for under-30s get the green light, the Government needs to come up with a new social contract for young people. What is the duty of a young person to society? Does a young adult have a moral obligation to protect an older one? The message should be that society is the glue which binds us together in a moral compact which transcends self-interest. By getting the vaccine you are helping the community at large. Young people should want to take the vaccine because they have decided that it is the right thing to do for their own health and for the safety of others. They should not be bullied into taking the vaccine out of fear of becoming second-class citizens or because they will be denied the pleasures of techno, house and trance dance music in clubs. The Government must treat young people like grown-ups and be prepared to have an adult conversation with them. The Prime Minister, who is such an effective communicator, particularly when addressing young people, should deliver a special broadcast specifically targeting UK citizens under 30 who have given up so much over the last year. He should thank them for their solidarity and support and exhort them to make one final collective effort to beat COVID-19 by having the vaccine. If this doesn’t happen, the whole project to eradicate the scourge of coronavirus could stumble at the last fence.

Completely disgusted this article even featured on this site. Experimental mRNA biotechnology which is not even licensed yet, for which there is zero medium or long term safety data, which has not been tested for fertility side effects on animals let alone humans (see manufacturers’ own information documents), and for which the efficacy data refers ONLY to reducing the severity of symptoms and thus hospital admissions, and which none of the drug companies claim reduce infection or transmission risks, why on earth should young people be encouraged in any way to take these gene-based interventions? Being injected with them will have no positive effect on other people, but they could have adverse consequences for the recipients’ own health. Once this new biotechnology is injected it does not wear off or die off. It is a permanent feature of the body and could easily permanently interfere with the body’s natural innate, and particularly its adaptive immune system. Toby, I am afraid I am rapidly losing faith in you as an unbiased and intelligent Lockdown Sceptic, which is a reluctant admission from one of your most long-standing admirers.

The fact that this piece is advocating for ‘eradication’ of covid 19 says it all really. Yeah obviously people shouldn’t be banned from going to a festival for not taking the injection. They also shouldn’t be subject to an emotional blackmail campaign straight out of the playbook of Michie and her behavioural modification squad.
Also totally misses the bullseye, the post, the garage door and the entire world behind the posts by not mentioning the fact that young people simply do not need the Governments method of population eradication for any reason whatsoever.
The headline states young people should not be strong armed and then sets about doing exactly that and ends with the ludicrous nonsense we hear from Johnson. Completely misses the fact that even with falsified figures the worlwide total is only 3 million which isn’t even a drizzle let alone a puddle. I don’t think it is wrong that such articles are sometimes highlighted.It is important to understand how they are spinning their stories.The answer to this suggestion you have below. Just the risk of VITT after the vaccine is higher than dying of C-19 and the higher death rate/anaphylaxis for the other mRNA vaccines is higher than dying from C-19 below.And then we have not yet excluded cancer risk,PAH risk,autoimmune risk which we will know in 2-4 years time. Any young heathy person taking the vaccine has a higher risk of dying from side effects than the disease if they ever going to contract it.Also the anxiety that long term side effects(see above)have not been excluded.
I agree these stories do need to be highlighted. It’s important to have the information in order to counter it. Doesn’t make me feel any less outraged though….
On a Lockdown Sceptics site, highlighting such a story would include an accompanying caveat.

The answer to the title is ‘no one should be strong-armed into having these vaccines’. No matter their age, sex, creed or colour – NO ONE. The title alone is the end of democracy. Is this really the world you want to live in?
I’ll tell you what, when they come up with a vaccine that stops you catching it, stops you passing it on, stops you having to wear a pathetic mask, stops you having to get tested to get on a plane, train, automobile or your wife, that’s been tested to within an inch of its life and is deemed safe by a whole host of immunologists that don’t have shares in pharma or sit on a government board, I’ll gladly round up the PM and Cabinet’s kids, pop a vial, shoot it into their arms, and put the same juice into my kids.

I totally agree with many of these comments, whilst I understand LS has to provide a balanced view unlike our MSM I am constantly frustrated by some of the clear propaganda type messaging being put out in the newsletter. This is clearly linked to the type of messages within the Chinese social credit system whereby young people are indoctrinated to comply in return for access to the things they want to do. It is appalling. This is not to say young people should respect or help their older generation but this swings both ways and I do t think the older generations respect or are willing to help the younger generations. I feel that many older people are being utterly selfish with regards to lockdown, many sitting comfortably on nice pensions in a lovely gardens and the government fawning over them for getting the jab like good citizens. The future for the young is bleak whether it is ‘The Great Reset’ or even if by some miracle their plans crash and we face massive debts, taxes, huge health crisis caused by the physiological propaganda and NHS reduction in care for all.

We really have lost the plot in this country – and in many others it seems. We seem to be utterly terrified of a disease which, whilst serious, is not really all that much more deadly than a very severe flu. The moral duty argument doesn’t even apply! The mRNA gene based interventions are new ‘experimental’ drugs and none of the producers even claim they reduce infections OR transmissions, so having an injection of one of these has a zero impact on others. The efficacy data simply refers to reducing the severity of symptoms and the need for hospitalisations – that is they only affect the recipient. But it does not take into account the numbers of low or zero risk people who have been vaccinated experienced severe adverse events that required hospital treatment and admissions – or deaths. Each individual has a legal duty of care to themselves. Since the drugs do not have any proven protective impact on others,, then the duty of care to others cannot apply in this case.
If you think about it, we’re pretty much at no mask, no food. Do you really think the Government that brought this state of affairs into being will suddenly show restraint when it comes to coercing under-30s to take the vaccine?

Unless I’ve completely lost touch with the young, what the author is describing are Generation Xers, (who the f@5k listens to techno any longer?), who are now in their 50s and mid-40s. If you overlook the fact that they are actually alarmingly compliant, (you are after all talking about a generation that grew up with the AIDS epidemic blighting their Sex Ed to the detriment of consent), they’re no one’s idea of young.

Ok, so, the UK started its vaccination programme on the 8th December, and my understanding is that there is a concern about covid jabs being linked to depressed immunity in the frail 4-9 days after the jab. And then it takes some days more to report deaths. So I have taken UK deaths attributed officially to cv from 19/12, before the jabs could have affected figures much, and from other places on 20/12, through a period running up to last weekend, and have adjusted all figures for the UK population for ease of comparison, using official worldometer figures. This gives the following results:
UK deaths 19/12-10/04 – 60,005
Brazil deaths (all following are 20/12-11/04 and UK equivalent figures): 53,253
South Dakota: 45,329
Spain: 39,842
France: 39,769
Sweden: 37,832
Peru: 36,248
Belgium: 28,616.
And then there’s Gibraltar! But don’t worry, the AZ jab is completely safe…
Your analysis seems about right. As an aside I suspect it was the vaccine that did for Prince Philip. They have been notability quiet on the exact cause of his death and his health steered to deteriorate not long after it was reported he had his Covid jab.

Who gives a toss? At 99, he was going to die of something fairly soon – like the majority of Covid victims. A fortunate man, by any criterion. I reckon that there’s more to worry about concerning those dying early because of a lack or a delay in diagnosis because of the hysteria.
I know this is slightly off topic but watching Prince Philip’s funeral today really hammered home to me the cruelty of the current regime. According to Michael Levitt on Ivor Cummins recent pod, no country in the world has experienced excess death in the under 65s. That stat and the average age of 80+ of the ‘victims’ tells you how benign it is to most.
Go on Bella or Toby, please give it a better shot to make that reasoned, objective and rational argument because this article doesn’t come anywhere close. I doubt that you will be able to, but go on surprise us. Emotional blackmail along the lines of ‘please take one for the team’ doesn’t count.

Just No, No, No. Covid is not going to be eliminated and why would we even want it to be or try to eliminate it? No one should be coerced into these vaccines what ever their age. We do not make everyone take a flu vaccine. Such a terrible idea.
Someone should explain to young people the benefits of catching Covid and developing natural immunity, which is likely to be longer lasting than vaccine immunity (a couple of days ago LS featured a piece saying that vaccines produce a weak T cell response and antibody levels fall fairly quickly) and likely to be more effective against variants.
A few months Sunetra Gupta said in an interview that she would prefer to catch Covid and develop natural immunity, and she is at slightly higher risk of serious illness than the under 30’s. As someone roughly the same age as Gupta I completely agree with her, and it’s one of the reasons I won’t be having the jab.
