The U.K.'s National Security Risk Assessment reveals nearly 90 reasons to panic, including a one in four chance of a pandemic within five years.
U.S. Chief Medical Adviser Dr Anthony Fauci has said the "full blown pandemic' is nearly over – but left the door open to local measures, future restrictions, and regular booster shots.
The coronavirus is "nowhere near" endemic, the World Health Organisation has said, while Pfizer's CEO says an Omicron vaccine is on its way and admits two doses no longer work. Some people don't want this to end.
A new peer-reviewed article in the BMJ shows that age-standardised mortality in 2020 was lower than in 2008 and every year before that. Earlier pandemics also left no trace within a year or two.
