"We Must “Proceed With Caution”, Says Boris Johnson ".

Of course Boris will not free us completely; that would not suit the globalists' policies with which he so eagerly complies. He is simply not to be trusted. We have a puppet government and it is well past time that the populace at large realised that.

I wish we were.

But I think we are only here precariously, because Boris has been unwillingly forced into it by fear of Sir Graham Brady et al. Boris is convincing neither about lockdown nor about freedom. As he has pretty much absolute emergency powers, I fear that a Friday afternoon meeting with a SAGE lobbyist for lockdown could easily throw us back into full lockdown, supported by Labour.

In the press conferences, there was precious little to suggest a Great Barrington conversion. It was more like a sheepish, cowardly inch towards some freedoms. Still, I can understand that the stakes are high and Boris has a bad experience with Covid himself, making him what looks like a nervous wreck. Don't we deserve to be led by someone who is capable of being a leader and can speak convincingly about their policies?

Nothing even close to the GBD.

We didn't even try targeted protection because "its too hard".  Not once.  No attempt made at all.

The figures show clearly the ones we should have been protecting were MORE exposed due to the locking everyone up tactic.

@splattt Funnily enough there was some talk recently of introducing a form of targeted support for people on low incomes, providing them with alternative accommodation for self-isolation where doing so at home would be difficult. Not sure of the degree to which detail had been considered but if that's possible now then with all the taxpayers' money thrown at the response to the virus, I'd assume they could have done something along the lines of targeted protection earlier.

What did they do in Sweden?

Unfortunately very little which is why over half their deaths were care home related...

The use of the closed hotels for isolation was touted and ignored over a year ago.  Policy was targeted is too hard so any suggestions toward doing so will be ignored.

Its completely pointless trying it now.

Full smorgasbord and lodging, I'd guess.
