Then they need to prove it, don't they! Isn't that what proper testing is there for?
There is more than enough reason to doubt the short-term safety from the copious adverse reaction reports. I have not seen any investigation of these. Have you? There should be at least 1,559 of these in the UK.
How can these people, with any credibility, agree about a long-term outcome that is totally unknown? That is why phase 3 tests always need to be completed before mass vaccination. They have not even proven a public health emergency exists to allow temporary authorisation.
And please dump the expression 'anti-vax'. Where there are proven effective and safe covid-19 treatments around, I prefer the term 'pro-treatment'.
The key vaccination myths are that vaccines would be the way out of the pandemic, back to normal and to prevent the NHS being overwhelmed (save the NHS) so we do not need emergency coronavirus laws.
Those are the only myths worth considering.
It seems, rather, that the vaccines combined with vaccinating during a pandemic, have failed.
Presumably, the govt will offer, then require (with/without officially mandating them, but certiainly through exclusion from society) boosters or perhaps the pharma companies will up the dosage, given they have an exclusion from liability?
Who knows! It's so exciting!
I would add, the reason I say that is simply this - the vaccines were "sold" to the British public as being the way out of "the pandemic".
Yet, 9 months on from the first vaccinations (given to the only significantly at risk groups when it comes to covid mortality) we are apparently still at a critical stage where the govt is still seeking to find ways not out of the pandemic, but to chain people down into a never ending cycle of covid restrictions; with vaccine passports and continued mass-testing the only route to conditional freedom.
If the govt truly wanted the pandemic to end, they should stop testing anyone unless they have been clinically assessed to have covid symptoms.
Stop all the needless advertising about vaccines and asymptomatic transmission.
Stop all talk of vaccine freedom passes; and
Rescind all coronavirus related laws and guidance.
The fact they are doing none of those things mean the vaccines have failed to do precisely what the British public were told they would do.
There is now clearly a holding pattern emerging pending the autumn when mass testing and testing protocols and expansion of "covid" symptoms will inevitably be used to show a return of "the pandemic" which the govt will then use to show how right those caring MPs were to vote for an extension of pernicious "emergency" powers; how inevitable it is that vaccine passports are required, not just now, but forever, and how we need permanent mass testing, and emergency powers to close businesses, interfere in citizens' lives, segregate the clean from the unclean by force...
If that's the case then, clearly, the vaccines have failed.
