Steve Baker's response:
Dear Pseudo Nym,

Thank you for your email.

I do not believe that the vaccine should be mandatory for anyone, including children, and I have worked hard to ensure that it is your choice not to take the vaccine. As you know, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has authorised the vaccine for use for 12-15 year olds. I trust that the MHRA would only approve a vaccine if it was safe to do so. I appreciate that you may disagree with this. The Government has taken this advice and has now asked the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) to advise as to whether the vaccine should be offer for 12-15 year olds. I will trust their independent advice on this issue as I have throughout the vaccine rollout. However, I would oppose any attempts to make this mandatory for children. It should be for a parent to decide whether or not their child receives a vaccination.

I would like to restate that I believe the vaccine is safe and I have had it myself. Nevertheless, I do not believe that anyone should be forced to take the vaccine or that those who have chosen not taken the vaccine should be discriminated against. I also do not agree with domestic vaccine passports or Covid certification.

Thank you once again for taking the time to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Steve Baker

A disappointing response, that ignores the thrust of my email, but it is probably representative of what most lockdown sceptics believe. I too also "trust[ed] that the MHRA would only approve a vaccine if it was safe to do so", until I looked into the reported side effects of the vaccines. When you actually look into yellow card data or VAERs in the US the idea that this vaccine is 'safe' by historical standards is obliterated. People wise enough to be sceptical of lockdowns ought to be wise enough to be sceptical of the Covid vaccines.

It is not surprising, that he is taking the conclusions of the MHRA over the unjustified claims of an unqualified anonymous person.
