Moderna Faces Suspension For Offering Children £1,500 and Teddy Bears to Take Part in Covid Vaccine Trials

by Toby Young
27 April 2025 11:00 AM

Moderna could face suspension from Britain’s pharmaceutical trade body following a string of breaches of the regulatory code. The Telegraph has more.

The Covid vaccine maker is due to be audited by the Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority (PMCPA) over “unacceptable” practices that brought discredit upon the industry.

If found to be lacking adequate compliance systems, Moderna could ultimately be suspended or expelled from the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (APBI).

It follows several code breaches, including representatives of the company offering children £1,500 and teddy bears to take part in Covid vaccine trials.

In a fresh ruling, which is expected to be published in the coming days, the company was also found to have misled regulators about when it first became aware of the financial incentives to children.

Moderna claimed it had taken action as soon as it was notified about the cash offer by the Health Research Agency in January 2024, but it has now emerged that senior executives were informed in August 2023 by the campaign group UsForThem, yet failed to take action.

Under the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) regulations, it is prohibited for incentives or financial inducements to be given to children or their parents.

The PMCPA ruled the company had shown a lack of transparency that was “completely unacceptable” and brought discredit upon the industry.

A senior employee was also found to have co-authored three articles, including one with Nadhim Zahawi, the former vaccines minister, which promoted Moderna’s Covid vaccine without disclosing he worked for the company. He also sent promotional tweets from a personal account without revealing his role.

The PMCPA said the article and tweets amounted to advertising the vaccine, and viewed the failure to inform readers of links to Moderna as unacceptable.

Molly Kingsley, the founder of UsForThem, said: “Many of the previous judgments against Moderna have revealed how readily it put profit ahead of the health and safety of children.

“Now it has also laid bare just how little regard it has had for the regulatory system that was supposed to keep it honest.

“Never before has a company so new to the pharmaceutical industry been rebuked in this way.”

In two new rulings, Moderna was found to have made ten new breaches of the code. UsforThem said it was particularly worrying as they related to three senior executives at the company.

The PMCPA said that an audit was now necessary to look at whether Moderna’s culture, governance and framework were operating effectively, and said the Appeal Board would then consider whether further sanctions were needed after auditors had reported back.

The Appeal Board can report a company to the APBI board, which can suspend or expel them from the APBI.

Suspension or expulsion would be a blow for Moderna, which only joined in 2023.

The APBI has taken the measure just nine times in the past 40 years.

The last company to be suspended was Novo Nordisk in 2023. The company manufactures the high-profile weight loss drugs Saxenda and Wegovy, and type 2 diabetes drug Ozempic. Its membership was restored in March.

In the past year, Moderna has been ordered to pay thousands for breaches of the regulations, including for using off-label data to promote its Spikevax vaccine at the European congress of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases in April 2022.

But critics argue the company’s revenue is nearly £7 billion in 2023, so with such small sums it has no incentive to stick to the rules, while being suspended from the APBI only brings reputational damage.

Worth reading in full.

They can’t do that. Rishi Sunak’s hedge fund has around 30% of its assets in Moderna.

Don’t worry they won’t.

I would love to believe that this supposed potential ban is about protecting the general public from unethical practices.

But I would bet a lot of money that this is l part of a bigger play, negotiation and this is just a device for putting pressure on Moderna. As in look at what we can do with you.

That would be my guess anyway.

It’s not as if they only just discovered this.

“Conversation closed” by the Telegraph 4 hours after article posted. As the most recent commenter observed…

“…I followed the science and there I found nothing. Then I followed the money and there I found the science.”

As for “unacceptable practices that brought discredit upon the industry,” teddy bears for kids and 1500 quid bungs for parents are small beer compared with:

State-sponsored promotion by governments worldwide of an experimental pharmaceutical preparation tested at warped speed and unnecessary for anyone fit and healthy under the age of 65, let alone children and teenagers at no risk whatsoever from a respiratory virus with an age-fatality profile that paralleled general mortality.

Crime Against Humanity and not a peep out of compulsive advocates for human rights.

“Crime Against Humanity and not a peep out of compulsive advocates for human rights.”
Exactly.
This was the point when I realized that the true purpose of the “human rights” organizations is exactly to cover up for potential abuses of human rights.
Choosing a name that conceals the true purpose of an organization is a very clever trick: it immediately stops any criticism and creates a false sense of purpose.
It is actually quite helpful to translate any government policy to its real objective: you just have to assume the opposite.
Thus:
”Equality” = discrimination against a section of population we consider undesirable.
”Diversity” = uniformity, enforcement of compliance of the prescribed opinions
“Inclusion” = exclusion of certain people
“Gender assisted care” = mutilation and castration
And so on, and so forth…

Straight out of the Orwell Instruction Manual. Strange how a book read over 50 years ago, then set 15 years into the future, started to become real 20 years after that, when wall-mounted flat-screen TV’s began to proliferate in communal spaces around the world.

Ignorance is nowadays strength and diversity is indeed uniformity.

Resist!

State-sponsored promotion by governments worldwide of an experimental pharmaceutical preparation […] unnecessary for anyone fit and healthy under the age of 65.

According to the JCVI in 2021, it was expected that vaccinating 120 people of age 80+ would save a live. This means a statisical risk of death of about 0.83% or about 99.16% chance of survival. This means that essentially nobody needed this vaccine and this doesn’t even take into account that, by winter 2020/21, everybody still alive had long since contacted COVID.

When the Fake Vaccines began to be available I compared UK all cause mortality in the year of the Deadliest Pandemic Evah with the average for the preceding 5 years, applicable to my age band and sex, and worked out a notional increased chance of me dying now that “Covid” was rampant. I can’t remember the exact numbers but the supposed additional risk was just noise and well within a reasonable margin of variation.

And with a ready treatment in ivermectin why would you need a vaccine anyway, especially one that is ‘unsafe and ineffective’.

It is there to create a sense of emergency and dehumanize the participants.
Incidentally, it also conveys a perfect image of the totalitarian nature of the act.

Parents who enrolled their children in these trials should be charged with child abuse.

Well, as we all know the pharmaceutical industry is nothing if not squeaky clean.

This is what will happen. They will receive a slap on the wrist, they may be fined a million perhaps 2, and then they will go on their merry way. This company lets not forget made Billions from the clot shot which did tons of things detrimental to a human body, except protect it from Covid. Let’s not forget our wonderful Politicians gave this company and the other Pharma boys protection from any come back from the injured.

Too many fingers in the Pharma pie. To me Pharma is dirtier than any Defence company, the weapons makers do not pretend that their products do anything except what they are designed to do, unlike this business which is the perfect virtue signaller for the woke era. They masked themselves as saving the human race, when in reality they exploit it to the worst degree in return for lots and lots of money.

I think the dam is bursting regarding the mRnA products.
More and more voices are calling for halting these vaccines.

The Government and its arms-length Quangos are responsible for ALL the abuse we suffered. They imposed the Covid Tyranny on us …. including the coercion to participate in a mass medical experiment with poorly tested gene therapies, called “vaccines” to get around the law.

Buck-passing won’t cut it.
