“Free speech in the UK is under threat – and nobody is safe”

Sorry but we’ve not had “free speech” in the UK since at least 1965 (probably before if you consider that radio and TV content has been regulated from the start).

And to quote our enemies, nobody is safe until everybody is safe. That’s the whole point of free speech, that everyone is safe. If anybody is not safe, you don’t have free speech. Which we don’t. It’s not “under threat” – it doesn’t exist, and has not done in my lifetime, and neither will it.
