A migrant who raped a sleeping woman and spent nine years denying it has won the right to stay in the UK on human rights grounds, prompting fresh calls from Reform and the Tories to leave the European Convention on Human Rights. The Mailhas the story:
Hendrix Ekwen, 34, took nine years to admit he was to blame for the “appalling” attack on the woman when she was drunk, unconscious and “vulnerable”, an immigration tribunal heard.
Because of his “sexual entitlement”, he did not accept guilt for the crime and tried to “place responsibility of the rape with the victim”.
But he has now won an immigration case to stay in Britain after launching a human rights claim.
A judge ruled he could remain in the UK after Ekwen insisted he had “learned his lesson”.
The Tories’ Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp said: “It is utterly repulsive this rapist is allowed to stay in the UK.
“He, and all other foreign criminals, should be deported.” …
Ekwen, an Italian national, came to the UK in 2009, when he was already 18, to join his mother and siblings in the North East of England.
Between 2012 and 2014, he was involved in five domestic abuse incidents and in 2015 he received a conditional discharge for possession of cannabis.
In 2020, he made an application under the European Union Settlement Scheme which would allow him to stay in Britain.
However, later that year he was found guilty at Newcastle Crown Court of one count of rape, which took place in 2017, and he was jailed for eight years. …
Even after being found guilty at his trial in 2020, the rapist “maintained his innocence” and “tried to place responsibility of the rape with the victim”.
Judge Rebecca Pickering
Judge Pickering called this “deeply troubling” but added that he has come to accept responsibility through “a slow and gradual process”.
Ekwen initially appealed against his deportation at the First-tier Tribunal of the Immigration and Asylum Chamber.
He said that he had “learned his lesson” – however, he also claimed his involvement in the offence was “inadvertent” and said that he had just “misinterpreted signals from the victim”. …
Judge Pickering said that since 2017 there has been a “substantial period during which reflection, maturation and personal development may occur”.
She has now allowed him to stay because Ekwen saying he didn’t want to be known as “that kind of person” was evidence of his “genuine shame”.

Sweden is deporting UK citizens who’ve lived there for decades but didn’t go through the post Brexit paperwork. One family tried a second legal route for a man’s (not a criminal) right to remain in Sweden, arguing he had rights, under the ECHR, to stay close to family on whom he relied. But the migration court of appeal ruled that “the state’s interest in regulated immigration outweighs Mason’s interest in continuing to reside” in Sweden.
Seems like it’s our progressive judiciary that’s the problem.

None of them can now be said to be acting in the best interests of the UK and of the Brisish people. In fact, they make every effort to work against UK interests and those of the British people.
I have had enough of this. I have no patience left. There isn’t time to wait for a Reform government. I would now support an uprising against the institutions of this country, all of whom have been capture by the vile ideologues of The Left.

How can you “misinterpret signals” from a sleeping woman?
This “judge” needs to be sacked. She’s a danger to society.
In my experience any attempt to engage with members of the UK legal profession will be met with a look of fear, lest anyone should overhear, and any discussion not compliant with Agenda 2030 will be swiftly shut down. The constraints of deference and ambition for these people are often insurmountable.

If he is an Italian National (more fool them) what on earth prevents him from being deported to Italy ? The last time I looked, it was just as ‘safe’ a country in which to live as the UK and no doubt he speaks Italian better than he speaks English. If he has any dependent family members, then he can easily take them with him. The UK legal / justice sytem in general (and the idiot Judge Pickering in particular) are unutterably stupid and clearly beyond redemption — until and unless we have a change of Government, which then immediately changes our laws and the conduct of our “justice system”. What we have now is simply obscene — both literally and metaphorically.

Hendrix Ekwen and his family are Ethnic Africans of the Nigerian Igbo Tribe, masquerading as “Italian Nationals”, because the Italians were stupid enough to grant them all citizenship, which they promptly discarded to slime their molluscan way into Britain for more FREE STUFF.
He takes the name “Hendrix” from the famous Ethnic African guitarist, who was grossly overrated, in my view.
I made the mistake initially of thinking that the rape was committed by an Italian immigrant which would have been unusual. I soon realised that the phrase ‘Italian national’ is completely meaningless and of course the perpetrator is of a certain demographic
