Police are facing a furious backlash after a Sikh killer who used bogus racism claims to get officers to arrest his dying victim was convicted of murder. The Mail has the more:
Vickrum Digwa, 23, attacked stranger Henry Nowak, 18, with an eight-inch ceremonial blade before telling the first officers on the scene that he had been the victim of racist abuse, ensuring they promptly arrested the fatally injured man instead.
Finance student Mr Nowak was on his way home from a night out in Southampton city centre when he crossed paths with Digwa, who was caught on camera saying “I am a bad man” moments before the fatal attack.
He was today found guilty of murder following a trial at Southampton Crown Court, while his mother Kiran Kaur, 53, was convicted of assisting an offender by stashing the murder weapon.
Following the verdict, Hampshire Police apologised for handcuffing the mortally wounded teenager. …
Reform leader Nigel Farage told the Daily Mail: “It is the most shocking example of two-tier policing I have ever seen. Our policing system is broken, a Reform government will fix it.”
Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp also criticised the police’s actions, saying: “It is shameful that the police handcuffed Henry as he lay dying, especially as he told them he had been stabbed.
“The police seemed more interested in cuffing someone accused of making a racist comment than in saving a dying man. They believed his attacker’s allegations of racism without critical assessment.
“Henry’s last words were ‘I can’t breathe.’ If he had been an ethnic minority there would probably be protests and riots by now.” …
The police blunder caused outrage on social media during the trial, with tech billionaire Elon Musk offering to fund a private prosecution against the police.
Digwa was said to have used racism as his “trump card”, by accusing Mr Nowak of racial abuse when police officers arrived so they would arrest the wrong man. …
Soon after he was handcuffed, the University of Southampton student collapsed in the street and died from his injuries – drowning in his own blood.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct is now investigating the circumstances of Mr Nowak’s wrongful arrest. …
Henry was a finance student at the University of Southampton and was described as “kind and talented” by his family.

Then they tried to BLAME THE POLICE instead of the Sikh murderer, and saying that we all need to be educated about wearing a kirpan, blah, blah, blah…
Seems like the Police helped Dingwall murder the boy.
Bottom line – the police are not fit for purpose.
I’m sure the Prime Liar will declare that “white lives matter” and will be photographed taking the knee to demonstrate his solidarity with the poor victim of murder by an ethnic minority and the appalling behaviour of Hants Police.

Professional neglect, misconduct in public office, a Common Law offence which carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
There is a systemic failure here, starting at the top, then poor selection, poor training, poor management and supervision.
Exactly: release the bodycam footage. And there is something to be said about the nonsensical unfairness of a law which says Sikhs can carry blades ( this Digwa dude was carrying two ), which are demonstrably deadly weapons when in the wrong hands, yet women can’t carry pepper spray as a means of self-defence. Nobody ever died from getting a load of Mace in the face.
Not only that, it’s bloody cowardly. Henry was unarmed. If this had been anyone other than a psycho Sikh this altercation would’ve just proceeded in the old-fashioned way: two men giving it fisticuffs, but at least it would’ve been a fair fight and nobody would’ve died. Imagine being such a lily-livered wet wipe that your first thought in a confrontation is to reach for a blade as opposed to throwing a decent punch? What a pitiful dweeb of a man. The prosecutor said: ‘This is not a case about Sikhism. This is not a case about racism. This is a case about murder.’ “
The comment does dance around the issue of the kirpan, the killer was carrying one of those legally, it’s very small and they are frequently very blunt.
The problem was the 8 inch knife he was also carrying, so the kirpan exemption for Sikhs is not relevant.
SIKHS HAVE STABBED MANY OTHER PEOPLE with kirpans in the West, but the media rarely report it. Here is only one example:

The rot set in years ago when Sikhs were given exemption from wearing motor cycle helmets, peaked caps as drivers and conductors on the buses, or police helmets, on religious grounds.
That was the 1960s. That paved the way for a two-tier society where the rule of law applied to the majority but not minorities.
Anyone who refuses to wear a helmet must pay their own costs for the medical treatment of consequential head injuries.
Absolutely right you are! How many remember FRED HILL, the former WWII motorcycle despatch rider who campaigned for years against the helmet exemptions for Sikhs, and suffered endless lawfare and imprisonment for his refusal to wear a helmet.
