Pakistan has threatened to drop a nuclear warhead on Israel if Benjamin Netanyahu uses nuclear weapons against Iran, according to a top Iranian officer. The Mail has more.
General Mohsen Rezaee, a senior officer in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and a member of Iran’s National Security Council, said in an interview: “Pakistan has assured us that if Israel uses a nuclear bomb on Iran, they will attack Israel with a nuclear bomb.”
Pakistan and Israel are two of the nine countries that currently possess nuclear weapons, according to experts.
Rezaee claimed that Pakistan has vowed to “stand behind Iran”, and called on the Islamic world to unite against Israel.
Today, Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khwaja Asif denied Rezaee’s claims, reportedly saying: “Pakistan is signatory to all international nuclear disciplines; our nuclear capability is for our people’s benefit and defence against hostile designs.”
Last night, he noted that the world appears to be teetering on the edge of conflict as a result of the escalating attacks in the Middle East.
“[The] Western world must worry about conflicts generated by Israel.
“It will engulf the whole region and beyond; their patronage of Israel, a rogue state, can have catastrophic consequences.”

Meanwhile, US aircraft carrier USS Nimitz is currently heading to the Middle East after Donald Trump warned that Iran will experience “the full strength” of the American military if it attacks the US. “If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before,” the US President warned the fanatical Islamic regime.
According to the Mail, Iran has shown no signs of backing down in its conflict with Israel, “signalling its intention to involve allies in waging war against its arch-foe by forming an ‘Islamic Army’ and threatening to leave the Jewish state ‘uninhabitable'”.
Stop Press: Iran has been frantically signalling that it wants to end its escalating conflict with Israel and resume nuclear talks, according to officials. The Telegraph has more.
Tehran has been sending urgent messages that it would be open to returning to the negotiating table if the US doesn’t join in the attacks, while telling Israel it is in both sides’ interests to restrain the violence, sources told the Wall Street Journal.
It comes as Israel ordered a major evacuation warning for parts of Tehran ahead of an expected escalation in its aerial campaign against the Iranian capital.
The country’s leaders had warned that Tehran’s residents would “pay the price” for the third night of missile strikes on Israeli cities, which have so far killed at least 24 people and wounded more than 500.
Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s Prime Minister, has declared Israel now “controls the skies” above Tehran after its military claimed to have wiped out one third of all Iran’s surface-to-surface missile launchers.
In response to the threat, thousands of Iranians are fleeing the capital and stockpiling essential supplies with huge traffic jams reported on its main roads.
