German Officials Overstated Covid Risk on Directions of Government, FOI Reveals

by Eugyppius
30 March 2024 9:00 AM

Two weeks ago, a court forced the Robert Koch Institute – Germany’s CDC – to release the internal protocols of its “Covid Crisis Team” meetings between January 2020 and April 2021, and the fallout continues as I type this. Regime media are screaming loudly and with remarkable energy to anyone who will listen that there is nothing to see here. Die Zeit complains that it is “A Gift for the Conspiracy Theorists”; Der Spiegel declares that the protocols have caused “great excitement” but contain “little that is new”; and tagesschau has its own write-up on “the RKI files and the scandal that isn’t one”. All of these pieces are very long on special pleading and very short on direct citations from the documents in question. When it comes to lockdowns and mass vaccination, the incuriosity of our journalists knows no bounds.

Karl Lauterbach, Europe’s dumbest Health Minister, is having a particularly bad time. He started the week claiming that the protocols were extensively redacted primarily to protect employees from the “hatred and agitation” of the people they work for; the RKI, he said, worked “independently of politics” and “saved many lives during the pandemic”. He also blamed “foreign governments” for promoting “conspiracy theories” relating to the protocols in social media.

As so often, Lauterbach had misread the room. The virologist Hendrik Streeck noted that “entire pages relating to the vaccines have been blacked out” and said he found himself “asking what the public isn’t supposed to see here”. FDP politician Walter Kubicki, meanwhile, called for more transparency and demanded access to the unredacted documents. He also renewed an older request that the RKI release its heretofore secret “Stop Covid” study, which according to Lauterbach shows that the German management of the pandemic was a fantastic success and saved all manner of lives, but which for some reason he has refused to let anybody read. It was at this point that the Chancellor’s office had enough of the terrible publicity and forced its arrant minister to stop embarrassing an already widely loathed Government. Suddenly Lauterbach promised to release his secret (and presumably deeply stupid) study at the end of the year, but his minders must have told him that wasn’t good enough. Now he says that was a mere typographical error and that he’ll provide it by the end of the month. He has also changed his tune on the RKI protocols, promising to re-issue them in “substantially unredacted form” and professing a newfound devotion to “full transparency”. I for one am enjoying Lauterbach’s public humiliation and hope that it continues indefinitely.

All the while, German Twitter continues to investigate the releases, finding in their many pages ever new reasons to doubt Lauterbach’s claims that the RKI operated purely scientifically and independent of politics.

On May 6th 2020, for example, the Interior Ministry asked why the RKI was publishing reproduction numbers calculated to two decimal places, when these figures were probably not accurate beyond a value of 0.5. The Bundeswehr Surgeon General Hans-Ulrich Holtherm, head of the crisis team, was forced to tell the Interior Ministry that the RKI was lending this impression of “fictitious accuracy” on the instructions of Health Minister Jens Spahn.

We encounter another telling snippet on June 28th 2020, when German case counts were effectively zero. The RKI nevertheless refused to revise its assessment of the Covid risk down from “high”, because a “direction of the Health Ministry” required them to leave it unchanged into July.

The RKI crisis team met every day, most of the time discussing nothing more than tiresome infection statistics, scientific studies and various administrative banalities. Its terse and lapidary protocols are often hard to interpret, and only in relatively rare unguarded moments do its members shed light on the broader political picture. When they do slip up, however, and when the censors aren’t there to save them with their black markers, they paint a devastating picture.

Many commenters, in response to my first piece on this document trove, asked where the pressure to freak out about Covid and lock down came from if not the public health establishment. The story is somewhat different in every country, but in Germany it’s clear that this was a cultural virus that overtook the press and the political elite before much of The Science we were meant to be following even knew what was going on. Remember that the international epidemiological establishment had spent years preaching against so much as border closures in the event of a pandemic. We were all supposed to do what Sweden did, and Germany was not even equipped to implement the technocratic lockdowns envisioned by Neil Ferguson because the pandemic models that justify closures are an eccentricity of the Anglosphere. This disconnect is why Covid messaging was so stupidly contradictory and idiotic, and it is an enduring scandal that our dumb and oblivious journalist class to this day remain wilfully blind to the farce.

I had to look up what ‘lapidary’ meant.

One who cuts, polishes, or engraves gems.

You can’t polish a turd, they say. Unless you’re Chris Ofili, of course.

A highly readable, worth your time article from a psychiatrist working in the NHS pointing out why our society is wrecked. It is difficult not to conclude that this destruction has been deliberate.

Agree, HP. Destroy the nation’s health by denying it an affordable health service and thereby enriching the private health care and insurance sector (aka transfer of wealth upwards), give them rubbish food and take away fresh local produce including meat (hike in prices of basic commodities and war on farming), poison their water (flouride in water supplies) and on and on and on. None of it at all good for one’s health, bank account or sanity!

Thankyou for the steer to the CW article. The mention of —-‘young men who’ve heavily smoked weed for years, winding up on our wards with chronic schizophrenia,’—-put me in mind of a recommended read by Peter Hitchens a decade or so ago. ‘Henry’s Demons,’ graphically charts the tale of the well known author Patrick Cockburn’s teenaged son and coping with weed-induced schizophrenia. Informative and moving in equal measure.

Firstly, I don’t doubt that there are some rare instances where through a combination of unlucky genetics and hormonal exposure in-utero, individuals exist who have a genuine mismatch between their psychological gender and their physiological one.

That’s where I stopped reading this article. This is blatant technobabble without any meaning which just leaves the question whether the author repeats this because he’s afraid of the powers who are or because he’s stupid enough to believe in it.

Centralised, planned, prepared. Years of ‘board games’ planning the scamdemic.

All these redacted docs do is prove that the ‘conspiracy truthists’ were right. These idiots had no idea what was going on, and miraculously every G20 government moved in lockstep. Sweden not a G20 nation, used more common sense, and given it is part of the EU Reich, this is quite surprising. Even Sweden was wrong. The obvious solution was to do nothing and if the fake PCR tests were never used, there would be no dead counts attributed to Rona.

If you weren’t told 24-7 that the scary flying virus monster was devastating the world, you would have noticed nothing. The entire premise of flying ‘intracellular parasites’ is a joke and a non-science.

They lie, diaper, stab, and lock you down….to save you.

Sweden is in the EU but wasn’t in NATO. I think the instruction to lock down came from the American Military/CIA and was issued to NATO and 5-Eyes members.

If you take it as a given that the evolution of this pathogen is unknown then you can’t really say anything about risks other than risks so far and it is very difficult to say anything about that. For example, if you are unvaxxed and you develop a turbo cancer could you put that down to virus exposure or shedding. The point is that no measures will work to protect you. You had a research team in Antarctica who all became infected despite months of isolation, although they did have the injection. Not sure if that had something to do with it.

And unfortunately and depressingly most of my friends and family remain wilfully blind to the farce. Indeed most if not all would happily mask up tomorrow and lockdown harder and faster at the drop of a hat. As I say thoroughly depressing.

German democracy is paper thin. They will be back on the path to the Third Reich faster than two shakes of a lamb’s tail.

Thank the Lord we are out of the EU. But we’d better pay our way for defence if a Trump or other US presidency is going to be an ally to rely on.

German ‘democracy’ is the political system the US Democrats whom German politicians slavishly copy on all their favorite topics all the time would love to have in the USA as well. Most Germans I know would love to send the whole lot of them over the big pond, never to be seen again, and do something else instead.

The US Democrats are much scarier than the Republicans IMHO. And they can only get a senile man to occupy POTUS’ bed – nominally leading the country.

Under Article II of the United States Constitution. The President:

  • Has the power to approve or veto bills and resolutions passed by Congress
  • Through the Treasury Department, has the power to write checks pursuant to appropriation laws.

  • Serves as Commander-in-Chief of the United States military, and militia when called to service.
  • Is authorized to require principle officers of executive departments to provide written opinions upon the duties of their offices.
  • Has the power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in the cases of inpeachment.
  • Has the power to make treaties, with the advise and consent of Congress.
  • Has the power to nominate ambassadors and other officials with the advise and consent of Congress.
  • Has the power to fill vacancies that happen when the Senate is in recess that will expire at the end of the Senate’s next session.
  • Shall periodically advise Congress on the state of the union and give Congress recommendations that are thought necessary and expedient.
  • Has the power to convene one or both houses of Congress during extraordinary occasions, and when Congress cannot agree to adjourn has the power to adjourn them when he thinks the time is proper.
  • Has the duty to receive ambassadors and other public ministers.
  • Has the duty to see that the laws are faithfully executed.
  • Has the power to commission the officers of the United States.

A telling snippet from these protocols is the statement that there’s no evidence for FFP2 masks to be good for anything except their intended use a workplace dust protection masks, eg, when removing old paint. Another, from December 2020, would be The consequences of lockdown are sometimes more severe than those of COVID. Yet ‘democratic’ German politicians kept the country locked down and FFP2-masked up (these were the so-called high quality face masks which kept being mentioned in Britain) until well into 2022.
