The Black Lives Matter chapter in Chicago publicly backed the Palestinian terrorists who killed some 1,200 Israelis over the weekend with a post that read “I Stand with Palestine” and an image of a Hamas paraglider. The Mail has more.
A graphic posted to the group’s social media accounts shows an image of a paraglider with a Palestinian flag pointing out of his parachute – similar to the terrorists who paraglided into an Israeli music festival to viciously murder innocent attendees.
As has been the case in most major U.S. cities, pro-Palestinian protestors gathered Monday on the streets of Chicago to cheer on the Palestinian cause, which in this latest bout of terrorism has led to, among other things, the beheading of babies.
It’s not clear that the Chicago BLM branch were among the protestors in Chicago.
BLM Chicago is just one of the many BLM branches around the country, including the entire grassroots organisation, that has publicly backed Palestinian fighters over Israel in the days since the attacks on Israel began.
The Chicago branch has shared to its social media pages graphics that explicitly blame Israel for the barbaric terror attacks conducted by Hamas terrorists, because of their “apartheid regime”‘
The organisation also attempted to sow division along racial lines by posting a graphic displaying images of celebrities who have spoken out in support for Israel in recent days.
The image included Sarah Paulson, David Schwimmer, Kylie Jenner, and Madonna, and contrasted them with those who support or have supported the Palestinian cause, who include Angela Davis, Malala, Malcolm X and Nelson Mandela.
“Notice anything about those who support Israel and those who support Palestine?” reads the graphic, implying that people of color should align themselves against white people in support of the Palestinians.
Since its founding the Black Lives Matter movement has supported the Palestinian cause, frequently referring to Israel, its people and its Governments as oppressors.
In the spring of 2021, when Israel and the Palestinians last traded rockets, BLM released several statements in support of Palestinians, and against Israelis, whom they called settler colonialists.

In Sheffield Protesters scaled Sheffield Town Hall and ripped down the Israeli flag, replacing it with the Palestinian flag to applause from crowds below.
Brendan O’Neill in the Spectator wonders aloud where the ‘anti-fascists’ like Antifa are now that something redolent of actual fascism is happening.
To the modern Left, everything is fascism except actual fascism. Everything is ‘like the 1930s’ except the slaughter of Jewish youths, the kidnapping of Jewish grandmothers, the rise of mobs demanding a second Holocaust. …
Back Brexit and they’ll call you far Right. Say a man can never become a woman and they’ll brand you a fellow traveller of fascism. Wonder out loud if we should try to do something about illegal immigration and they’ll say, “This is starting to feel a bit 1930s”.
But wipe out entire Jewish families? Gun down Jewish festivalgoers? Kidnap an elderly woman who survived the Holocaust? Mock Jews on the streets of our cities? Then they’ll erm and ahh. That’s ‘resistance’ apparently, not racism. It’s a rebellion, not fascism. It’s a “day of celebration”, as Novara Media’s commissioning editor said of Hamas’s invasion of Israel on Saturday, not a return of the bigotries of the 1930s.
Surely nothing better captures the moral disorientation of the radical Left than the fact that they are more likely to use the word ‘fascist’ about their own fellow citizens who voted Leave or who defend women-only spaces than they are about a radical Islamist in Gaza who spits on the dead body of a woman who was murdered on the presumption that she was Jewish.
