As on several prior occasions, liberal Bundestag Vice-President Wolfgang Kubicki has used his parliamentary prerogatives to put a question to the Health Ministry, and compel an answer. He asked what study results the Ministry could cite to demonstrate the efficacy of face masks. Lauterbach’s crack team of virus understanders responded that, uh, it is a very complicated problem, and, in truth, well, actually, nobody really knows what effect masks really have. This is because “the effectiveness of individual measures… cannot be examined in isolation, but only in conjunction with the other measures in place at any given time”.
In other words: they got nothing. After years of making kids mask for hours on end in school, and imposing arbitrary but quite obnoxious mandates on aeroplanes and public transit and clinics, they have no idea whether it did anything, and no plans even to find out whether it did anything. Suddenly all that manic masking enthusiasm has just evaporated.
The response comes several weeks after Anthony Fauci’s statement to the New York Times that “at the population level, masks work at the margins, maybe 10%”. This is itself a baseless claim, but it’s another important walk-back of the insane doctrines that medical bureaucrats have been spinning about masks since 2020.
You have to think of propaganda like a big machine. Somebody has to plug it in and it draws a lot of electricity, but with the right inputs it can dazzle a lot of people. The problem is that sooner or later the deception isn’t worth anybody’s time or energy anymore, and so somebody must also shut it off. It looks like nobody bothered with any kind of messaging exit strategy, and so we’ve entered a very weird period, wherein the public health leviathan has ceased rehearsing its crazy pandemic myths, leaving the ever-shrinking minority of deranged Covidians to their own devices.
Now and again the fact-checkers still throw them a bone, so there’s that.

What a surprise. The belief that they did any good was for the birds – although it did demonstrate how gullible people were. On the other hand, there was a lot of misuse of finance, and the production of useless products, and the associated rubbish to dispose of.
You’re spot on with the word ”belief”, because that’s all it amounted to. Masks became a symbol, amongst many things, of faith. Like a superstitious person carries a rabbit’s foot or avoids opening umbrellas indoors in order to not attract bad luck it was the same for the lobotomized ninnies wandering around like they were on a day out from the local mental hospital, who wore their magic face talismans because a) they genuinely were brainwashed and thought a sieve in fabric form strapped across their kisser would stop miniscule particles of virus, or b) they were too chicken shit and compliant to break the rules, but followed all the other suckers anyway, so they fit right in.
It’s a shame the entire population of countries that had mask mandates cannot claim compensation for psychological damage done to them, or something, due to being made to wear these muzzles under duress. Then there’s the expense element because they weren’t super cheap, especially if you’re hard-up anyway. Compensation and reimbursement..We can but dream.
I can’t fault you Mogs.

I love this, had me laughing out loud. Great start to the day. Thank you Mogs.
I’m so angry that they did this to people..especially children, I can hardly talk…
If I meet a ‘masker’ anywhere in the future, especially in a health setting..I’m really rather ready to blow!!!
What makes me laugh is, even if the things were demonstrated to be effective in a laboratory setting, how the hell does this translate to the mass population wearing them, day in, day out, going about their daily business?
Most times they lived in people’s pockets, sharing space with the used hankies and loose change, or perhaps they were worn like a permanent fixture around somebody’s sweaty neck. Off, on, off, on…grimy fingers touching the inside and outside, even if you’ve sneezed or coughed in it, on it goes again, transferring bacteria all over the place. And if it looks clean the next morning just use it again that day…Honestly, minging masks, the most hated symbol of PsyOp-19, used to highlight just what dozy pushovers our fellow citizens were. And on kids too it was pure child abuse.
…I can’t even look at those videos of people masking toddlers….like the ones on US aeroplanes where they’re demanding baby’s put them on…and actually threatening the parents …and the poor mentally disabled kids…remember the story of the man that found out they’d literally a mask on his child all day at school….for days, before he know?
God my blood just boils….what kind of people are they?
‘Tied a mask on’
No I hadn’t heard about that story. How horrific! Hope he sought legal advice and the staff were punished accordingly.
I remember reading about that at the time. I think this even happened in Florida. The child had a medical exemption. But people from school administration force-strapped a mask on its face nevertheless.
That’s a bit similar to the WhoShotJR-story: Well, you may have a medical exemption, this we must publically admit. But we believe to have a duty of care to ensure that you’re either masked or suffer because of this! It’s just even more evil.
Must be that $cience. The $peed of $cience. The changing $cience. The con$en$u$ $cience. So much $cience. As if a rag over your face does anything except make you look stupid and eat bacteria and Co2 and inhale the carcinogens in the diaper. Good grief and the sheeple complied. Never wore one. Never shall.
Masks make me furious. We have just been abroad on holiday. In the (large) hotel I only saw one person wearing a mask. If he wanted to wear a mask in 30 degrees Celsius, he’s welcome, but at least wear the blooming thing correctly…it was under his nose! If you are so convinced that masks work, surely you investigate the correct way to use them? He was standing at the front of a lift that stopped at our floor. My other half said loudly, “Oh no, I’m not getting on there, that man looks like he’s got something infectious.” The bloke looked incredulous!
Some months ago, the manager of Sainsburys Broadstreet (Reading) started hanging out in the shop with an very important looking face, presumably on the lookout for shoplifters (of which there are plenty). When latest COVID variant (Arkturus) made ripples, he added an even more important looking medical mask to that, among a sea of colleagues and customers without one. He defiantly continued to wear it for weeks but ultimatively his masking morals started to lapse. For another couple of weeks, he wore it only over the mouth and meanwhile, it’s tucked away below his chin. The idea behind that seems to be Should a Sars-CoV2 suddenly jump at him, he can quickly pull it up and thus, thwart its otherwise fearsome attack just in time.
I’d absolutely love to see a consistent rationale for this kind of behaviour.
Looking for explanations isn’t the way to understand the events of that time. They are manifestations of something that is beyond rational purview. You can see the conjunction of planets as lasting a very short time but the effects on the anthropos last much longer and tend to reverberate. The phenomena will persist and multiply and the understanding of the phenomena will deepen. This is the meaning of apocalypse. The period in time is contained within every moment of time. If you approach it with courage then in our time you will witness the apocalypse or lifting of the veil and this is what is being asked of us.
Why is it that when I read your posts I always visualise the caterpillar from Alice In Wonderland?

Yes Lewis Carroll is well worth looking into in terms of the understanding of the absurdity to come. The stifled spirit and the removal from the language of the sort of dexterity required to even approach the higher worlds. |It is like using words to talk about music. It always feels inadequate and apologetic.Like Bob Marley said, so much gets said and so little gets done.
Surely you mean Dylan from The Magic Roundabout Mogs.
(Sorry, before your time).

Sorry, I know I ought to have something meaningful and profound to say, but not this time!
On form today Mogs.
You’re very kind.
When I read of The Caterpillar I always think of Sir Michael Redgrave. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xg8sb6
I recently had cause to take my teenage son to A&E. They were still handing masks out at the entrance.
Given that the reason we were there was my son having breathing difficulties, it seemed particularly and spectacularly stupid.
Just out of interest, was it a mistake for me back in the day to claim I was exempt (even though I was, so far as I could make out)? Oh well, it’s done now, and hopefully finished for good. And I hope I’ll be more forthright if there is another time.
It isn’t over as evidenced by disgruntled’s comment above. My local hospital have mandated masks as well as pushing a Spring flu/covid ‘vaccine’, which is bizarre and wrong because in the Northern latitudes all respiratory type viruses fade away in the Spring as the sun gets higher in the sky. But of course as people get better going into Summer they can claim ‘vaccines’ and masks work.
Also SAGE are wanting everyone to mask up on public transport because of the new variant.
I claimed exemption and even got some little cards to wave at people who tried to guilt me into a mask. It’s tricky because by claiming exemption you are kind of playing their game. But more people walking about bare-faced encourages others to hold out too.
What is the issue, is it the mandate or the compliance? Because if everyone told them to piss off then it wouldn’t happen. What exactly could you do to stop such phenomenon?. Surely any solution would have de-centralization as a pre-requisite. Of course this would be a contrary force but such a force would be the only thing that kept us human. And so given the age of metrics that we live in, how would we postulate an alternative reality? It starts from basics like courage and then the deeper exploration. There is no path to redemption within their parameters and there is no pain-free way out of it and so it always comes down to the spirit to face it.
Masks work in hospitals.
End of PPE shortage.
Masks work on mannequins.
Masks are mandated.
They don’t do anything to protect against viruses because they are surgical masks – to be used by surgeons so as not to let their saliva drop into someone that is being operated on.
None of the masks are designed to stop a virus that becomes airborne because viruses are infinitely smaller than the weave of masks designed to stop moisture. It does not require a PHD to work this out, but maybe that’s the problem. There are too many PHDs in positions of authority. How much money did we give China for manufacturing all the PPE equipment?
This is where we are with all the variants:
https://nextstrain.org/ncov/gisaid/global/6m
My daughter took her driving test yesterday and the examiner wore a face nappy. My daughter didn’t pass due to a lack of clarity in the examiner’s instruction. My daughter asked for clarification and was told her question was too late and she should not have asked the question
Face nappies must have had some effect surely?. All those experts from assorted professions were so emphatic about the need for us all to wear them. They were quite useful too, when not compelled to wear it, I kept mine in my back pocket as I often forget to carry a hankerchief.
How on earth is this guy still in any position of authority?
