Facebook Censors Posts on Vaccine Harms Because They “Make People Feel Unsafe”

by Thorsteinn Siglaugsson
15 November 2022 9:00 AM

This morning, a friend published a short post on Facebook, drawing attention to how it seemed to him the company was not even bothering any more to refer to the so-called ‘independent fact-checkers’ to justify their censorship. He had re-posted a clip where Fox reporter Tucker Carlson discussed the negative effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines, referring to peer-reviewed studies. The clip is available here.

No reference to the 20-something recent graduates at the censorship agencies, just this label:

How on earth can peer-reviewed results constitute “misinformation”? The peer review process isn’t perfect, far from it, but after all it is the accepted standard. A first conclusion therefore is that the word ‘misinformation’ does not refer to misinformation any more, it simply refers to any information the censor wants suppressed. The word has become meaningless.

The action, then, is suppression of a certain kind of information, but what about the reason? The reason for suppressing uncomfortable information about COVID-19 vaccines is that seeing this information may “make some people feel unsafe”. What does this mean precisely?

There are at least two possibilities, and here I’m talking only about those who believe in the narrative. The first is that people may feel unsafe seeing evidence that contradicts what they’ve been told by the authorities, the mainstream media and the social media giants; the ‘safe and effective’ mantra. Watching Tucker Carlson’s review of the evidence might make people feel unsafe, uncertain, sceptical towards the propaganda, relentlessly pushed towards them; this is what happens when you discover you’ve been deceived by someone you trusted. You feel unsafe for you don’t know who to trust any more.

Secondly, people may feel unsafe because their worldview is being threatened, while they still cling to it with all their might. They still believe the lies; they have no doubts, but discovering how some other people do not share their view of the world makes them frightened. Perhaps they’ve taken part in ostracising others, ridiculing them, wishing them harm, fearing for themselves if the truth comes out. Perhaps they suspect, deep down, that they are being deceived, but fear the consequences of the full realisation.

They may even have been so thoroughly brainwashed that they actually believe young and healthy people, an age-group with a demonstrated Covid mortality rate on par with the flu, will drop like flies in case they get infected, like this unfortunate young woman, willing to risk her life to protect her ill-advised belief.

Notice the wording in Facebook’s label. It does not say the alleged ‘misinformation’ will make people unsafe, it says it will make them feel unsafe. When your view of the world is threatened you may certainly feel unsafe, but that doesn’t mean you are any less safe than you were before. If someone points out to you the bridge you cross every day, and have been assured is well built and robust, is rusting away and may collapse any day, you may feel unsafe in the way you will doubt some other things you’ve been led to believe by the same people who assured you of the safety of the bridge. But avoiding that bridge will surely make you safer in the future. If you find out that a medication you’ve been led to believe is safe and effective actually isn’t, you may feel unsafe in the same way. But avoiding that medication will surely make you safer in the future.

Having to think may make you feel unsafe, but it will not make you unsafe. A true belief is the result of thinking; to arrive at the truth we must have all the relevant information we can come by, evaluate it and in the end come to an informed conclusion. It may not hold forever, new evidence may present itself, we may have to reconsider our conclusion. This is the essence of science, the prerequisite of progress, and also the prequisite of making the best and safest decisions for ourselves.

Facebook’s aim is not to make its users safe. Its aim is to make them feel they are safe, to prevent them from discovering challenging information, prevent them from thinking. Its employees are the apostles of a new god, and his followers do not ask him to deliver them from evil, they ask him to deliver them from truth.

Very good article; if this doesn’t demonstrate the evil that the various so-called ‘social media’ are capable of, then nothing will.

Just go post on Twitter instead. FB is a lost cause. I shall test my theory by going to post the new scientific study featured in this substack which demonstrates the mRNA from the jabs is causing the destruction of umbilical cord embryonic stem cells, which are essential for the developing baby’s immune system. Let’s see how long it lasts on FB…

Yup. Posted lots of papers & graphs on how dangerous the jabs are on Twitter. Not one moderated.

FB have been shadow banning me for a couple of years now so I hardly bother unless it’s to occasionally keep in touch with people. The only people who ‘like’ my posts are those who have previously liked them out of hundreds of people so I’m convinced FB are just showing those same couple of people now. It’s relentless smoke and mirrors and to continue having an account is just contributing to this evil. This excellent article is the final push I needed. Twitter it is then. Although I haven’t noticed the banned being reinstated yet, despite what Musk has said. TCW’s Kathy Gyngell is still banned.

Yeah it’s tricky. I’ve always seen Twitter as soul poison and the root of all our problems – and it is – but in order to fight this cultural insanity that’s happening on all levels of society now I’ve come to the conclusion that you’ve got to use the tools available. My wife’s worried it will give me a massive stroke but I think as long as you stay calm, factual, scientific and irreverent, and don’t end up getting into any absurd spats with the trans tards, you’ll live.

Oh, I have no doubt it makes people feel unsafe. However, I suspect the reason is quite simple. Doubts were expressed about the vaxxes even before they were rolled out. Stories of people getting vaxxed passing out right away or dying a few days later were circulating within days of the initial rollout. So people were leery, but their fears were soothed with lies, that the incidents had been coincidences. As more and more people got vaxxed without dropping dead on the spot, people felt a little more confident.

Then, as time went by, a variety of side effects that had been initially denied, were admitted to have occurred “very rarely” after all. Then it turned out people needed 3 shots, not 2, then 4, not 3, then shots forever more. Some vaxxes were taken out of circulation, after having been hailed as miracle drugs. Excess mortality numbers have been steadily high for months on end.

So indeed, people feel unsafe, because they have no idea what they’ve had put in their bodies, whether at some point something will happen to them and there is nothing they can do about it. It is understandable that some people want to ignore something they feel they can’t do anything about.

FaceAche and other pharma-financed tech ho’s are a disgrace. The simple fact is, for 2 reasons people should be encouraged to face the facts. One, so that more honest research is carried out into the vaxxes and what can be done to counter possible side effects caused by this garbage. Two, to wake people up to the fact that this type of criminal event must not be allowed to happen again.

Yes exactly. The most common reaction in men to the possibility of being ill with a deadly disease is to pretend it isn’t happening and not see a doctor until it’s too late.
Same principle. Afraid to face the truth.

I must say that I don’t use that firm, and not Twitter either. It does appear that quite a lot of employees of both of them probably feel unsafe financially though. According to other reports, there have been a lot of redundancies in both of them. Maybe they are having some difficulties with the concept of correlation versus causation? Perhaps excessive censorship leads to bankruptcy, but if it does, they’ll never admit it.

Time to stop overthinking this.

It’s lunacy.

The people who do this are insane. The people who want this are insane. They are making the world insane.

You can’t argue with insane people, and less so with rational arguments.

Indeed. Feelings and perception more important than reality, reality is what you want it to be. Eventually aeroplanes will start falling out of the sky and bridges will start collapsing. Let’s see these loonies deny reality then.

“Time to stop overthinking this.”

Exactly.

This article is an example of our way of thinking being applied in order to make sense of our enemy’s modus operandi.

Let’s call this out for what it is – lies and bollox, or in Stewart’s more moderate term – insanity.

I actually do think people are being driven to madness.

When reality is denied so forcefully and persistently, you either actively reassert reality, even if just to yourself, or you start to lose your grip and go mad.

It’s too many things at once.

The virus is super deadly and everyone is at high risk. Not true.
Masks will protect you. Not true, they probably harm you.
Jabs make you safer. Same, probably more harm than good.
It is absolutely certain that humans are causing a catastrophic change in the climate with CO2. Unlikely and definitely not certain.
99% of scientists think it. No they don’t.
Gender isn’t a binary thing, it’s a spectrum. No, it’s binary, except for a minuscule number of people with freakishly unusual biological conditions.

And on and on.

It’s relentless and so no surprise people are losing their minds. Who the hell has the stamina to withstand this daily barrage of insanity?

We have to be strong, Stewart, to be resilient and stand in our truth. You are already strong – look at what you have withstood for the past few years – a constant barrage of propaganda and lies and vilification. Now, all of us who have made it this far can go further. We have to know what we stand for: freedom of speech, freedom of choice, liberty to go where we want and see who we want, freedom to dissent and to protest (actually, I prefer the word ‘affirm’) and to live our lives without the intrusion of the state, the right to privacy, and more. These are testing times and we are being tested like no other time in history, not even in the bleakest moments of WW2. We are being attacked and vilified by our own government and by the rapacious media. Unlike them, we have right on our side and the truth will always out.

Well, the gloves are coming off aren’t they? I mean why bother with all that finickity fact checking anyway? They know what the policy is so why bother to disguise it with some sort of pointless exercise. They’re slowly but surely shutting us down. At some point, it’ll probably be Telegram and then they can start shutting down the internet so we can’t even access sites like this one. We don’t need PhDs to know that the censorship of any and all dissent is an agenda. It’s not a coincidence, it’s deliberate. Much as I don’t wish to believe this is true, you only have to look around you and see what is actually happening.

I’m guessing the whole “make you feel unsafe” business is linked to the idea of “online harms.” And guess what ….. our Government is legislating against online harms.

Online harm seems to mean “anything they don’t want you to see, hear or talk about.”
