In an article last week I highlighted the Government’s missed opportunity in focusing on vaccines rather than weight loss and healthy living in the fight against Covid. A research paper published in the Lancet implied that a two-point BMI reduction (that’s about 6kgs, 14lb or 1 stone) delivers the same level of risk reduction against serious disease as is claimed for a Covid booster shot four months after vaccination. However, while the vaccine’s protection wanes to virtually zero after six months, losing weight and keeping it off delivers consistent equivalent Covid protection and, additionally, reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes, heart attack and some cancers and improves general well-being. Good news both for you and the NHS.
Information like this seems to me to be the kind of thing people are looking for, particularly now as they become increasingly hesitant about getting ever more shots of vaccine.
From my own interactions I sense a significant turning of the tide in people’s perception of the vaccines and the pandemic in general. A number of people have commented to me that last year in the first few months of the football season – and while the booster campaign was going strong – virtually no top-flight game was complete without a player collapsing on the field (Christian Eriksen and John Fleck come to mind), an ‘incident in the crowd’ or a pundit (Trevor Sinclair) potentially facing the sack for daring to muse ‘whether the vaccine had anything to do with it’. This year, and in the absence of a booster campaign targeting the age profile of the typical football spectator, I haven’t heard of any such incidents, have you? I’ve no specific evidence that vaccines caused the problems but, along with millions of others, it made we wonder.
It’s not only football fans who’ve had a double take. You won’t be surprised to know that sometimes I’ve been accused of ‘preaching to the choir’. There’s some truth in this. However, recently, a friend of mine, who is both metaphorically and literally in the choir asked me for some simple facts that were easily verifiable that she could use with her fellow choristers without them thinking she was a tin-foil hat wearer. She went on to explain that several of them had become increasingly sceptical about all aspects of the Covid hysteria and weren’t at all sure about having any more doses of vaccine. She wanted an easy-to-find and easy-to-verify argument from an irrefutable source that wouldn’t scare them. This is what I’ve come up with. I thought some of you may find these kinds of points useful in your own interactions with waverers.
The rationale for vaccines has always rested on three legs.
- Reduction in infection. Does anyone assert this anymore? I don’t think so. However, if you’d like to see an excellent explanation of how the data can be manipulated to make you think they’re effective, can I recommend this short Norman Fenton film.
- Reduction in deaths. I wrote an article published July 27th 2022 showing from official UKHSA data that deaths of the unvaccinated were proportionately no greater than the vaccinated.
- Reduction in hospital admissions. Let’s test this one out!
The UKHSA claims about 85% vaccine efficacy against hospitalisation in the first few months, falling to about 60% after six months (see figure 5 below). If this was really the case, wouldn’t you expect fewer Covid hospital admissions since the vaccines were rolled out? Well, that’s the odd thing, hospital admissions have increased.
Figure 1 tells us that to date in 2022 there have been 44% more Covid hospital admissions than in the same period in 2021. What’s more, already in 2022 we have had 12% more hospital admissions than in the entirety of 2021.
There have been 39% more Covid hospital admissions in the first 289 days of 2022 than there were in the 289 days from March 19th 2020 to the end of December 2020.

Whenever I mention Covid hospital admissions, I’m required to mention that not all the people admitted with Covid are in hospital because of Covid – for many it’s an incidental infection. But, of course this was always the case. The definition of a Covid hospital admission hasn’t changed, we’re comparing apples with apples.
Where does this unlikely sounding data come from? Well, I’m delighted to tell you it’s hidden in plain sight in the Government’s Coronavirus Dashboard. Figure 2 reproduces the familiar graph that you see if you visit the website and click on the Healthcare tab.

I know some readers like to verify the data themselves. To do so, go to the Coronavirus Dashboard, click on the Healthcare tab. Then click on the ‘Download’ button in the bottom left hand corner and extract the data as a csv file, which will open in an Excel spreadsheet. You can then reproduce any of the charts printed here. In figure 3 I’ve circled in red the ‘download’ button and I’ve highlighted the time periods I’ve shown separately back in Figure 1.

We can also simply present the data cumulatively (see Figure 4). If you draw a line from the bottom left-hand side to the top right hand corner you’ll notice that the trajectory of the line is a very close fit to the actual wavy line of hospital admissions. The straight line is indicative that hospital admissions are accumulating over time at a constant rate (albeit with waves on the way).

If vaccines really delivered 85% or even 60% efficacy against hospital admission you would expect to see the line kink down as the vaccines were rolled out, but you don’t. The peaks and troughs in the line have flattened but the trajectory has stayed amazingly consistent.
Figure 5 shows the claimed efficacy for the various vaccines following various doses taken from the UKHSA’s week 40 (the latest) vaccine surveillance report (page 14). I’ve put a red box around the hospital admission rates.

In the same report, though admittedly 35 pages further on, the actual number of hospital admissions by vaccine dosage is shown in table 12a. The figures are for about a five month period from March to August 2022. Only 6.2% of the people hospitalised were unvaccinated. As we know, there’s an ongoing dispute about the actual level of vaccination. For the over 40s the rate is probably somewhere between 80% and 90%, so whichever way you look at it the vaccinated are proportionately more likely to be hospitalised with a positive Covid test than the unvaccinated are. At most, 90% of the over-40s are vaccinated yet they account for 93% of those admitted to hospital (though admittedly there is a degree of age confounding here, as older people are more likely to be vaccinated and also more likely to be hospitalised).

Going back to my friend, the chorister, I think she can show this Government data to her choral friends with confidence. It’s from a reputable source. It doesn’t make any claims about vaccine dangers. It simply suggests that if you decide not to be vaccinated you’re at no more risk than if you were vaccinated.
Personally, I think frightening people with stories of vaccine harms isn’t terribly productive. Much better to focus on solutions than problems. If you have friends who are wavering in their enthusiasm for yet another vaccine, point them in the direction of the benefits of losing weight and general health. Point out that in not getting a further jab they’re inviting little or no greater risk, as can be seen from the hospital admission data. Maybe gently point out that the Scandinavians and Floridians have throttled back their vaccine campaigns and that in the U.K. we don’t appear to be offering a further booster to the under-50s.
Maybe by taking a gentle approach rather than blurting out “I told you so!” it will mean that some of your fractured friendships can be healed as people realise you weren’t a swivelled eyed loon after all. No one likes being told they were wrong.
As Charles Mackay said: “Men go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.”

A useful comparison could be with what is happening in the poultry trade, to do with avian ‘flu. There was an item on todays Beeb R4 farming propaganda on this matter. It reported that some farmers would like to be able to jab the birds against it, as there appears to be a potential “vaccine” against avian ‘flu, but in this case it is not permitted by Defra, and they mentioned a long list of reasons from that department. One of them was that the “vaccine” does not actually prevent transmission of avian ‘flu by an infected bird, just to reduce the symptoms & extend it’s life etc. Now, where have you heard that about a product aimed at humans?
They’ve culled almost 6 million poultry here in the Netherlands and that number will just grow. I did a brief search recently to see if you can eat birds from a flock that have tested positive for avian flu ( obviously they cannot test every individual bird and they often kill whole flocks just because they are nearby a farm with a positive test ). I only looked at one article, from the CDC of all places, which stated that you can in fact eat birds with avian flu because you’d obviously be ensuring it is cooked through anyway. I think when humans catch it it’s due to airbourne transmission not via eating the meat.
Anyway, I’m not sure about the egg situation, because you’d have to make sure every person cooked the yolks through, so probably not practical in terms of public health advice, but I’m genuinely wondering ( especially as it’s based on a dodgy PCR test in the first place ) just what has been achieved by killing all of these poor creatures when the virus seems unstoppable and if the data show people come to no harm if they eat the meat which is cooked properly. I mean, when did this testing of poultry even begin? They wouldn’t have been able to even know about infected birds ( unless they showed obvious signs of infection ) years ago because the technology didn’t exist, so therefore how many people have ate birds and been absolutely fine? It saddens me greatly that all of these creatures are being killed for basically no reason at all.
https://www.dutchnews.nl/news/2022/10/nearly-6-million-birds-slaughtered-in-worst-flu-outbreak-in-two-decades/
And besides all of that, what is the risk of any medications ending up in the food supply and contaminating our food? Especially now I’ve read about mRNA injections being given to cows.
https://peterhalligan.substack.com/p/australian-cattle-injected-with-an
Did they also mention it would have no effect on evolved variants which would require new vaccines, and it would not prevent the virus still being present in future flocks and allow vaccine-resistant virus to breed and circulate unnoticed thus giving a false sense of security?
Where have we seen that recently?
It is why Foot & Mouth vaccines are not used in the UK, they don’t get rid of it, just let new strains flourish.
I can’t remember, but they did indicate that there was a long list of reasons on the Defra ‘prohibition’ document. Of course, there’s nothing new re annual variants of ‘flu for any animal, including ourselves.
This misses the point. The Vaccinazis not only want you the unstabbed, darted, they want you demonised, marginalised, vaporised for not complying. The stabs do nothing except kill, injure and create infertility. Your immune system is shot to hell. The problem is that the idiots will be ill, injured or doing poorly after the stabbination, yet will commend them for saving them….there is no point in talking to idiots. You might as well piss into the wind. My issue is forced medical nazism. And most of ‘the friends’ who are stabbinated are indeed vaccinazis who want forced injections. Data, Nuremberg codes, constitutional rights, common sense, criminal pharma, none of these arguments makes an impression. They are brain dead. F’em.
Sadly, I have to agree. Trying to talk sense to the perforated is pretty much pointless – and I have tried. And most certainly I will not be walking about with prints of hospital admissions in my pockets. That would cast me in to the wilderness.
I suppose I could suggest they all lose weight, if I want thumping.
Next….
I have very few friends left. Those that remain are either unvaxxed or regret getting vaxxed.
Everyone else bloody well needs to be alarmed.
They are not vaccines. Stop using the language of the enemy.
We’ve gone way beyond alarm. The mass vaxxing is simply evil.
“No one likes being told they were wrong”
Then perhaps they shouldn’t have started telling me I was wrong in March 2020 when I told them lockdowns were not a response to a trivial virus.
Thanks Nick. However, it does get into the long grass a bit more than your average narrativist would like. Essentially, people need something positive to engage in, to counter the constant negative messages.
People would benefit from taking responsibility for their own health. They need to be able to take steps that are understandable and easy to follow. To this end, the resource page of the World Council for Health is indispensable:
https://worldcouncilforhealth.org/resources/
The many Zoom sessions they have into all branches of health care and wellbeing are most informative and uplifting.
Well this is a very good and share-worthy article which looks at the lies we’ve all been told, beginning with the recent bombshell admission from the Pfizer woman in the European Parliament. It covers the false narrative we’ve all been expected to swallow and asks why.
“The primary questions that still remain unanswered are: Why was this script created? What are its intended consequences? And, who created it? As mentioned earlier, the evidence suggests harm is an intended outcome — harm to our economy, our social order, our health, our life span and reproductive capacity.”
https://www.technocracy.news/the-big-lie-pfizer-scandal-blown-wide-open-never-tested-mrna-shots-for-transmission/
I read this when it first appeared, I suppose I should have posted it here, so good on you Mogs.
A paragraph above the one you quoted is perhaps more stark:
If they’re concerned about liability, (pharma Co.s) that means they know the shot is dangerous. And if they know it’s dangerous (which all available data clearly show it is), then why do they want every person on the planet to get it?
Following this line of questioning to its logical conclusion leads us to the shocking conclusion that even though we don’t know the reasons why, the injuries and deaths from these jabs are intentional.
I know someone who has been repeating the hi-lighted for months.
Yes I did think of you when I saw the article and wondered why you hadn’t shared it. It was you that brought that site to my attention.
Technocracy News is an excellent site and I have much respect for Patrick Woods.
The people I am still in contact with in Germany have all become sceptical with regard to the goo’s efficiency and are therefore hesitant to opposed to getting another booster.
This is mainly due to practically all of them and their friends and family having gotten (one or more positive) Covid (test/s) after their injections with it.
None of them really question its safety though. The many cancers, falls and strokes they certainly witness and as such that general , factual increase in hospitalisations are always credited to long Covid&co instead- that’s the line and pet project of the insane fanatical health minister, fully embraced and pushed by the media.
Which is also why they are fully behind having to wear N95 masks indoors again, as the hospitals now absurdly demand, to prevent hospitalisations going through the roof.
The medical profession and the public there is simply incapable of letting go of the narrative and of its necessary witchcraft accessories.
Ze Germans can always be counted upon doing the wrong things very thoroughly.
Interesting article. A few points:
1/ Weight loss receives no MSM or political coverage as it doesn’t help Big Pharma. In fact it diminishes their profits.
2/ My “friends” who are blue-pilled have become more peripheral.
I now have new red-pilled friends, and life is richer as a result.
3/ “Vaccine”- injured patients who come to see me are almost always open to hearing my thoughts, and are keen to engage in honest discussions about Covid and treatments, with all that follows.
‘…missed opportunity in focusing on vaccines rather than weight loss and healthy living in the fight against Covid..
Average age at death of alleged CoVid victims is 82, 95% of whom had one comorbidity or more, 70% with two or more.
What has weight and ‘healthy living’ (what is that anyway except a judgement about others who don’t live your chosen lifestyle?) git to do with it.
Stop all this nonsense please! We don’t do it for Colds and ‘flu which is what CoVid is.
isn’t it time we move on to the Nuremberg type trials rather than continuing to obsess about a relatively harmless virus?
As Charles Mackay said: “Men go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.”
So true indeed.
Or, as Mark Twain said, “It’s easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.”
In my case, the tactic is to avoid the topic altogether! Many of my old mates are on the other side of the fence – to some extent, a few of them regard it as a travel jab.
During most of last week, I spent several hours working at a CAMRA beer festival which was located in a hall that happened to be next door to a smaller one where the jabs were being administered, by appointment. On account of that, I noticed the types of punters queuing up for jabs, and there was a fair age range of them, although most of them seemed to be middle to elderly.
When I was working at the bar in the festival, when it was open to the public, one of our volunteers who was working alongside me happened to be a qualified RN guy, who had evidently jabbed hundreds of punters next door on various shifts recently. I avoided any discussion of that (as I’m not one of the customers there).
The actual beer festival was pretty good, notwithstanding the wet weather on Friday. It was normally an annual one, which was suspended over the last two years. One of the odd things was that no-one talked about the so-called vaccine affair at all. Many know I’m not a user, and I’ve got a pretty good idea of who is, including an old retired GP who I know quite well (I was one of her patients in the past).
The festival balance sheet might be a bit touch and go, with the attendance being lower than normal, but it could have been worse. Lots of punters seemed to enjoy it, but of course inflation is a bit hairy at present. The old “lockdown specialists” would be behaving like ferrets in a sack, though, if they’d been there!
I just don’t talk about the jabs with anyone apart from occasionally with my other unjabbed friends. My jabbed friends are still my friends but we have unacknowledged no-go areas that luckily we manage to skilfully circumnavigate. When I am in a group of people all talking about the virus and who’s got it, fully in the knowledge that they’re all jabbed, I remain quiet. What’s the point of having conversations with people who, in the first place, could not just do basic research or reading beyond what they were told? If I did venture an opinion, it would be received, no doubt, as mystifyingly as if I had said I was a Martian. Far better, I thought, to be private about a private matter. It’s no-one’s business but my own. If they wanted to get jabbed, that was their choice, not mine, and they will have to live with the consequences of their choice for the rest of their lives. If or, rather, when the dam of facts and evidence breaks and they realise they were duped, I don’t want to be crowing about how right I was. They did what they thought was right but the trouble was they trusted authority. I never did and anyway I don’t want or need confrontation in my life. We’re all going to die some day so may as well have a good life and be kind and thoughtful and get on with it.
I’ve not noticed any change of mind or attitude in any of the jabbees I know, they all still seem to be on the same bandwagon they joined 18 months ago. As an example, a conversation with neighbours confirmed that 1) they’ve both recovered from their recent bout of covid (post 3 jabs), 2) that the wife’s weird mouth ulcers (which appeared after the 2nd jab, known side effect) are still there but tests show they’re not cancer and 3) with doctor ‘approval’ (?), they’ve just had their 4th jab. There is absolutely no point trying to have any sort of discussion about risks & benefits with that sort of mindset. Polite murmurs and a change of subject seem more appropriate.
It’s like having a blindspot – they can’t and won’t see what you see. You could shout about it from the rooftops and show them all the masses of evidence, films, documentaries, personal stories and so on and still they wouldn’t see it. BUT if the Daily Mail, the Times, breakfast TV, the government etc turn round and say it, then they’ll believe it.
And some
of them love the virtue signalling.
They do love the virtue signalling, don’t they? As do the people who are having their umpteenth vaccine. It’s a major topic of conversation where we live surrounded by ‘virtuous’ people.
Thank God for GB News.
Same here. Mrs NextDoor vaccinated above and beyond the call of duty. She has Long Covid/ME/Post viral syndrome/whatever. Life revolves round doctor’s appointments for each new symptom. Conversations are about how sorry to hear the latest symptom. She recovers often enough to go away for a few days holiday…
Not surprising that they are in the same mindset as from the beginning. I watched a recording of the Parliamentary committee tasked with debating whether there should be an official inquiry into vaccine injuries.
Sir CC, Andrew Bridgen and Danny Kruger were spot on; the other side very disappointing indeed, I would call them complacent.
The worst of all was the rotund lady Dr Health minister (not Therese Coffey) who, after listening to all the evidence provided, declared there was no evidence of undue harms and encouraged everyone to get their boosters. Of course the Chair decided there would NOT be an inquiry.
I have a renewed respect for Sir CC, AB and DK for not strangling the morons in the room.
Well, I sort of agree with your last sentence, but the issue is this is not simple a difference of opinion about a personal choice. For a start there’s the question of vaxx passports – I cannot forgive supporting those, whether you are vaxxed or not. Then there’s the whole question of coercion, propaganda, informed consent, vaxxing kids, waste trillions of public money. The mass vaxxing program is simply evil and anyone who is not opposing it any way they can needs to have a word with themselves.
Spot on.
And I agree with you, ToF, but that is my private life I was referring to. I am as against all of what you mention and will resist to the end on all of that no question. However, when amongst people in one’s private life, I can’t see the point of getting heated about this and putting people’s backs up just to make a point. I don’t think any of them were jab fanatics and certainly not vaxx passport advocates. If asked, I would explain my position. I already push back against things as it is – no mask, marches, stand in the park etc – but my point is that we are in this together – jabbed and unjabbed – and we are now some distance beyond the more extreme craziness. Maybe things will ramp up again at some point, maybe they wont but this time there are far fewer of the crazies about. We’ll see.
Well I am not sure that we are in this together, jabbed and unjabbed, unless you are referring to the repentant jabbed who realise they’ve been had and that the mass vaxxing is wrong. I am mighty glad that I am more able to live my life now than I was during lockdowns, but as long as the lies remain unnoticed and the jabbing continues, I cannot rejoice unreservedly and I have have a heavy heart and much anger, and think that other people bloody well ought to be shaken out of their delusions.
But my comments on pushing back were certainly not aimed at you but at the majority who just let all this happen, and its certainly not for me to tell fellow sceptics how they should be dealing with their friends.
No, I didn’t think so, ToF, but thank you for your insight and it certainly made me reflect on my own circumstances and state of mind about all of this. The one thing that I’ve seen recently that made me angry was the film by John Bowe ‘Safe and Effective; A Second Opinion’. Seeing the young bed-bound guy was heartwrenchingly sad and it made my blood boil. The criminals who facilitated this will be brought to justice one day, I am sure.
The tide seems to be slowly turning.
hear hear
Thinking about all the deceit and lies that were pedalled about the coronascam, I read this powerful piece on substack this morning. It lists all the lies – from a Canadian perspective – but it applies to most places worldwide with rogue governments, corrupt health systems and complicit msm.
Do you remember- because I do:
https://sheldonyakiwchuk.substack.com/p/do-you-remember?publication_id=447842&isFreemail=true
Great article. Should be spread and wide. Thanks.
It’s easy for me. Mycorditis a few weeks ago. Pacemaker last Monday.
vaccine safety? Fuck off. I had three. Look why happened.
Sorry to read about your situation, Simon. I hope your health improves for you.
So sorry to hear this, Simon. People are looking into natural therapies about all of this to help those who have been injured by the jabs. And this is a good place to ask as many here have been looking into this too. Go well.
While my own view is that the vaccines are clearly unsafe and ineffective, I find it difficult to convince narrative-following friends using data, particularly data comparing relative deaths and hospitalisations in the vaccinated and unvaccinated populations. The data is highly unreliable for many reasons and, even if the data were reliable, there would be (and are) a whole range of confounding factors.
Even in this piece, for example, comparing “Covid hospital admissions” in 2020 with 2021 and 2022, has multiple issues. The NHS was pretty much shut in 2020 to everything other than covid itself, and even those who had contracted covid were discouraged from going to hospital (and were fearful of doing so) – so it is no surprise that hospital admissions were lower in 2020. And there must undoubtedly be an element of self-selection in those choosing to be injected and those choosing not to do so. If I am 45 and somewhat overweight, I might choose to be injected; whereas if I am 60, slim and healthy, I might choose not to have the jab.
Etc, etc, etc ….
Maybe it’s me, but I’ve been alerted to the fact that many of my friends/neighbours (and some relatives) far too easily slip into condemnatory authoritarianism and uncritical acceptance of ‘experts’. I don’t want to be a drama queen, but I’m a changed person as a result of the covid deceits and I will be forever wary. Part of me wants to retaliate with a specific and spiteful desire that they SHOULD be alarmed by the relentless propoganda techniques and the actual and further potential effects of the vax they too readily accepted.
