Hospital data shows that nearly 12,000 patients who were admitted to hospitals for other illnesses probably caught Covid while there and died shortly afterwards. This finding has boosted calls to implement mandatory vaccination measures for all NHS staff, with the policy becoming enforced sometime during the spring – although why, exactly, is unclear, given that the vaccinated can still catch the disease and infect others. The Telegraph has the story.
On Monday night, MPs condemned the figures as a “scandal”.
The revelation has prompted fresh calls for vaccinations for NHS staff to become compulsory, amid fears that hospitals could struggle to cope during the winter.
It is expected that the Government will announce mandatory vaccination for NHS staff this week, but give them until spring to get the jab.
Jeremy Hunt, the Conservative Chairman of the Health and Social Care select committee, said: “These numbers are truly shocking… hospital infections have been the deadliest silent killer of the pandemic… It surely strengthens the case for mandatory vaccination for frontline healthcare staff.”
Using Freedom of Information laws, the Telegraph obtained data from NHS Trusts around England showing the numbers of Covid cases that were likely caught in hospital, known as nosocomial infections, and subsequent deaths.
The disclosures reveal that 11,688 people who died in hospital after testing positive for Covid likely caught the virus there, accounting for one in eight Covid deaths in hospital.
One trust recorded as many as 484 deaths of patients who were thought to have caught the virus on wards during the pandemic. In some trusts, around a third of the patients who had died with Covid had caught the virus in hospital.
The revelations will raise concerns that hospitals have become a breeding ground for the virus and that the NHS has not taken adequate measures to stop it from spreading.

How can anyone know that anyone else has died of ‘Covid’: there is no test for the virus that causes the disease.
Mandating a vaccine with safety and efficacy data is one thing. Mandating a experimental biological with minimal safety and efficacy data and no long term safety and efficacy data and still in trial, is something very different.
Hepatitis B vaccines may cause autoimmune disease such as rheumatoid arthritis. This was not known in the 80’s when this vaxx was mandated in the USA for healthcare workers.
But Boris Johnson has been vaccinated, so he doesn’t need to wear a mask, because he’s protected, right?
Oh, yeah. I forgot. He’s had Covid, so he doesn’t need a vaccine, or a mask..
if he wore a mask, it would protect him (and others) wouldn’t it, so he doesn’t need a vaccine. Got it!
I added a comment yesterday on the subject of false-positive test results and the nocebo effect. I’m guessing that my very concise and, I thought, worthwhile comment did not pass muster with the moderator, because I made mention of the ultimate expression of the nocebo effect—voodoo death, mentioned in this article/paper:

How Do Nocebo Phenomena Provide a Theoretical Framework for the COVID-19 Pandemic?
… “Moreover, it is important to note how Cannon (1942) had already previously defined the phenomenon of “voodoo death” as a dramatic nocebo effect, following the induction of a pervasive state of terror. … Since Cannon’s observations, accumulated evidence supported his concept of “voodoo death” and nowadays it is considered as a real phenomenon, but far from being limited to ancient peoples. It can be defined as a basic biological principle…”
“During COVID-19, a possible nocebo response may be induced on a large scale due to negative information received from the media.”

I have sent many emails with interesting information to this site which have gone ignored. E.g., there is a paper with Neil Ferguson’s name on it, asserting that 77% of flu cases are asymptomatic. And I have seen a review of that… Read more »
Johnson in Hexham is just taking the piss. He KNOWS masks are just theatre, so he swans around like Billy Big Bollox, sticking two fingers up to the gullible public and giving the middle finger to care home staff and NHS workers, while still grinding out The Narrative of complete shite. Oh for a Lord to smite the Devil. The day of reckoning must be coming…
Why are people surprised by the hypocrisy of this fat bag of shit.
I note Mr Johnson is still overweight, another example of do as I say not as I do
I was just about to remark on how well his much publicised keep fit campaign was clearly going, when I saw your comment! To be honest he looks even more overweight than he has ever looked. COP26 and his holiday in Spain must have had endless supplies of irresistible food and drink on offer.
I fail to understand the continuing surprise. Hospitals have been a breeding ground for infections for decades. Norovirus is a classic example. You stop it spreading about by strict hygiene and isolation procedures. Any bug will spread where there is insufficient ventilation and most modern hospital air conditioning systems are not powerful enough to do this job properly, not least if they canf
be used because they have Legionella in the cooling tanks…
Speaking of norovirus, I was always amazed to read reports a few years ago of whole hospital wards shutting down because of ‘the presence of norovirus’ as if it was lurking in corners or ventilation systems waiting to pounce on unsuspecting passers by. A good clean up and adherence to proper hygiene practices – sadly lacking in the NHS these days – were all that was needed. Norovirus is not an airborne infection. It is spread by direct contact with faeces or vomit particles from an infected person. It should never have had a chance to spread in hospitals if they had been up to standard in the first place.
https://www.cdc.gov/norovirus/about/transmission.html
I suffered the very unpleasant consequences of it about six years ago, a few hours after attending a community event where young children were (cutely!) being used to distribute slabs of uncovered cheese and other exposed foodstuffs to tables. I have been wary of such events ever since.
As masks are completely pointless, I have no problem with the Prime Minister not wearing one; it is something that I am glad to see. Hexham hospital is hardly busy. I am more concerned about his prioritising a visit to this tiny remote town when he should have been in Westminster. He will have only met a handful of people.
Or were they already dying from something else, but received a “positive” test before passing away?
Hospitals in USA and in first world countries are refusing life-saving Ivermectin treatment even with court orders. Big Pharma doing everything they can to jab us no matter what, while alternative COVID cures EXIST! There happens to be heavy censorship who are looking for these treatments. The Research Is Clear: Ivermectin Is a Safe, Effective Treatment for COVID. Get your Ivermectin today while you still can! https://ivmpharmacy.com
Of course, because providing separate buildings for Covid patients and keeping them away from others is an absurd idea when you’re trying to exploit a historically unremarkable pandemic.
The picture of Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson, it makes my pips squeak seeing the shirts sleeves rolled up and that ‘right let’s get to it and do something’ look.
who do they think they are kidding.
The correct conclusion to draw from this finding, (if it’s to be trusted), is to deploy early treatment, rather than stick every hospital worker with poison.
The moral of the story is: stay out of hospitals at all costs!
My goodness Bunter gets bigger every time he’s photographed, I know the camera is supposed to add 10lbs but that would just be his sizeable mammory tissue. I do hope he’s not planning to give a knighthood to his personal trainer.
I’m reminded of John Sparkes’ Welsh philosopher Siadwell from the 1980’s TV show “Naked Video”. He once opined;
“Well, of course you know what happens to people when they go into hospital. They die”.
The parable of the prodigal son was always the hardest for me to accept, but in the end I had to admit it made sense.
If Boris Johnson is anti-mask and is going to be vocal about it him, I will applaud him.
And if he stops promoting covid jabs aggressively and stands firmly and definitively against any kind of jab mandate or certification scheme, then almost everything will be forgotten.
What happened to the diet, Boris?
PCR tests are not able to detect infectious SARS-COV-2 virus. So the argument is moot. The bastards are lying again.
Let’s not forget about the inaccuracy of the tests and the false-positive rate. A possible false-positive test result would get you stuck in a Covid ward. The subsequent fear and anxiety might then affect your breathing and actually shut down your immune system. And then, who knows what kind of care might be administered by equally terrified doctors and nurses. It is indeed possible to be scared sick. The nocebo effect—the opposite of the placebo effect—is very powerful. The most well-known and highly-studied manifestation is voodoo death. If someone believes in voodoo and has a curse put upon them, they usually die.
Opening comment from a thread on Voice for Victoria’s Twitter page.
Interesting there’s no media coverage about the fact multiple nightclubs in VIC, all obviously with fully vacc’d staff/patrons, are currently dealing with multiple case outbreaks. That certainly didn’t take long. Guess that passport is working really well. So much science, right?

Just went to the BBC and this was on the front page.

but in Wales Jabs will be compulsory in order to visit a cinema…
Celtlieter Drakeford is nothing if not inconsistent.
Some time ago, I worked for a medical supplies company. A colleague once spent a lot of time running an innovation project in a hospital. I asked him what his main learning was from spending time there. He simply said – ‘do whatever I can to avoid ever having to spend time in a hospital’.
Maybe they have been infected due to the fact that vaccines do not seem to be a lasting solution to the virus.
A new paper to support this fact.

“Hospital data shows that nearly 12,000 patients who were admitted to hospitals for other illnesses most likely caught Covid whilst there and died shortly after.”
Don’t get sucked in. This is another bollocks figure – although nosocomial infection is a major issue. Covid is an end of life disease.
Anyway, what to buy the kids for Christmas? I know!
“With the coronavirus ravaging the globe, it can be a scary concept for adults, let alone children.
This spring, one company is turning the novel virus into a teachable moment, by turning it into a cuddly plush toy.
GIANTmicrobes, a Connecticut-based toy company that turns microbes into huggable toys, unveiled its COVID-19 plush toy to the public”
Nosocomial infections have been rife since Florence Nightingale. They occurred even when ward sisters could be disciplined if there was an outbreak of infection on their ward. Clostridium Difficile doesn’t have the Difficile for no reason, norovirus, hospital acquired pneumonia, MRSA, MSSA, the common cold. There wasn’t a winter that went by when I didn’t need time off whilst working in A&E, either upper respiratory tract infection or gastroenteritis.
“Dr Andy Hartley, Climate Impacts Lead at the Met Office, says it used a 32C temperature estimate to determine the level at which people would be defined as being “at extreme risk”.”
funny english people and their weather. 32C is too hot for me but its not really a risk.
Ahmedabad uses 45C as a threshold to implement their heatwave response plan (nobody told them that you develop a plan in order to throw it away when the time comes)
on climate change
“Sir Patrick Vallance says, like with Covid-19, science will play a key role in tackling the issue but it requires people to change their behaviour too.”
How about Patrick and his colleagues go away for 10 years and develop a climate change response plan. Then when climate change happens we can throw it in the bin.
Yet again we are confusing the presence of the virus with dying from the disease.
Unless we know what number of that 12,000 died directly or with complications from the respiratory disease Covid-19 then these figures are meaningless.
This info tells us these death numbers are inflated greatly.
