In the latest episode of London Calling, James Delingpole and I discuss James’s aversion to answering emails; David Starkey’s jaw-dropping assertion that vaccines should be compulsory; the new head of NHS England’s misleading claim that there are currently 14 times as many Covid patients in hospital as there were this time last year (in fact, there are fewer); Matt Hancock’s Telegraph comment piece saying the case for insisting all health workers are vaccinated is “unanswerable”, even though he doesn’t actually answer any of the standard counter-arguments; Obama’s speech at COP26 in which he blamed ‘nationalism’ for lack of progress on climate change while in a country run by nationalists; the ‘unholy trinity’ – Covid, Climate Change and Social Justice – used by governments to exert more and more control over their populations; my trip to Blackpool to see QPR away; and, in Culture Corner, Midnight Mass, Invasion, The Morning Show and American Crime Story: Impeachment.

The only reason there are fewer covid cases in hospital at the present time is because those in power want there to be fewer.
If they wanted more there would be more, a simple upping of the PCR cycle rate secures that.
I wonder what the game is at this point?
Is it to be able to show their power, to be able to have fewer covid cases but impose the vaccine passport regardless?
How generous a thought – but, are you a sceptic?
Sorry James, I’ll have a listen but Toby and team have long moved on so there won’t be much by way of response.
Never mind, think of poor Luke slaving over the daily Roundup each evening, to post at midnight just to see it superseded as everyone is waking up.
So much wasted effort on the major input of the day.
Let’s face it, David Starkey has been got at. The only question is: blackmail or bribery?
David Starkey should stick to being a great social sceptic and contrarian historian.
He is not a medic.
Aren’t lesbians, just Phallophobic? Or do they just discriminate against males?
The liberal left assert same-sex relationships are about love, but why aren’t homosexuals able to love the opposite sex? Isn’t the opposite of love, hate? So isn’t the rejection of heterosexuality a hate crime, “heterophobia”?
No, no: they are just males unfortunately born in the wrong bodies. Very sad!
