MPs and scientists have written again to the JCVI calling for Covid vaccination of healthy under-16s to be paused pending further studies, arguing the evidence that the benefits outweigh the risks is lacking.
There were 90 more deaths among 15-19 year-olds in summer 2021 than in summer 2020, but only 9 Covid deaths. Have the vaccines killed nine times as many teenagers as Covid this summer, or is there another explanation?
All 16 and 17 year-olds will be offered a Covid vaccine in the next week in a bid to boost immunity before the return of schools in September. Hard to see the point, given that teenagers aren't vulnerable to COVID-19.
