A new study from the ZOE Covid Study App claims that natural immunity gives just 65% protection, worse than the vaccines. There's a problem with it, however.
The pro-lockdown John Snow Memorandum claimed “there is no evidence for lasting protective immunity to SARS-CoV-2 following natural infection”. A new study finds that immunity is still present 12 months later.
Two recent studies compared natural and vaccine-induced immunity at the cellular level. They found evidence that natural immunity is more robust, and that it confers greater protection against novel variants.
Even discounting side effects, it’s unethical to vaccinate 12–15 year olds when a such small share of the population in poor countries has been offered a vaccine. Britain should donate its leftover vaccines now.
An Israeli study finds that natural immunity provides much more protection against infection than the Pfizer vaccine. If the finding proves to be robust, government priorities may shift substantially going forward.
