We've done reasonably well without compulsory masks for two months now, but some people are never satisfied. On Andrew Marr's programme, Sadiq Khan said, 'There's a couple of things we can be doing which I think we're not. One is I think we should have face masks compulsory in public transport. This voluntary system, this condition of carriage, isn't working as effectively as before.' Also, of course, he can't FINE people for not obeying the rules. Surely, the onus on the rule-makers is to JUSTIFY something in the first place, not to think of ways of BRINGING them back. If Starmer was PM, we'd still be wearing compulsory masks in shops as well as in public transport. LEAVE US ALONE!
