Hoping to go on a holiday at the start of November- ideally sunny, but more importantly, not going anywhere with vaccine passports for entry with no test option, or for cafes, bars, tourist attractions and the like, or anywhere where there’s liable to be hassle for not wearing a mask anywhere outdoors (don’t care if others are wearing them, as long as not going to be harassed myself for not wearing one). Was thinking Canary Islands but the article today on this site making me think twice about that. Or Madeira, or Turkey. Anybody had recent reports from any of those places?
I recommend the Maldives. Negative PCR required for entry, whether you are vaccinated or not. Masks required inside the airport building and on transport. On resort islands, masks are required in indoor public spaces, but as pretty much all public spaces in resort islands are outdoors then in practice resort islands are totally mask free for tourists. The staff all wear them, though, even outdoors.
Egypt, step off the plane, PCR if unvaccinated.
Leave the airport and basically no covid rules apply at all.
