Doris has no intention of defying sage..this is just more game playing.. he is a puppet blowing to his masters bidding...

Absolutely right MHB. One can never take the apparent situation as eveidence of a real situation. Its all messaging orchestrated by the propagandists in SPI-B. I could suggest what will happen between now and 06-21 but the 'whitehall leak' document is probably not far off. There is a very good reason the legal draftsmen did not draft a 'Step 4' and its not because they couldn't be bothered.

Great thread, especially the first three posts. However I suggest it belongs in "general" rather "statistics and modelling".
But why bother with complex mathematics when data can be modelled? And isn't it actually safer to treat each variant as a new pandemic? After all, the world's finest scientific brains are working on the boosters, which I believe will arrive late autumn; that cannot be too long to wait to protect our loved ones?

sorry, 55m (all adults) less 39m (those who have had at least one dose) leaves 16m adults (mostly those under 30.)
