I used to live in Hertford. Drove buses from the London Country Bus Garage, Fairfax Road, 1986-89. Now living in Darkest Scandinavia (Finland).

@emerald-fox It probably hasn't changed much. We've only been here a couple of years. Came for a quiet life after London and in that respect it hasn't disappointed. However whereas in normal times agreeableness and conscientiousness are desirable qualities in the fellow citizens of a town, as someone pointed out when there is a social control experiment being carried out they are the most compliant and I can certainly attest to that first hand. When I return to the shabbier areas of North London I see people and businesses getting on with life with no regard for the coronamadness.
