The people dying are in the vulnerable groups (still). The vast majority of these are double-jabbed, therefore the 29 double jabbed out of 42 shows it to be successful (in the vulnerable).
The data continues to show that vaccination makes a huge difference in the vulnerable (over 65-70 and obese).
The data shows that the vaccine makes little difference in risks for the non-vulnerable.
There is a supposed advantage in the reduction in cases, but it isn't clear how this might impact on the vaccinated-vulnerable (we're told that it makes it much worse, but this is a simplistic argument that doesn't take into account important factors such as where they're catching covid (hospitals), the relationship between transmission and age/obesity and the increase in the proportion of asymptomatic carriers amongst the vaccinated compared with unvaccinated).
In addition, the simplistic 'there's less covid if everyone is jabbed' argument fails to consider the impact of mass vaccination with imperfect vaccines on the speed of vaccine escape.
