Excuse my ignorance, but why are case rates important in a vaccinated world?
They're not. Unless you're fixated on cases and the impossible "zerocovid" solution.
Sadly Boris and many other countries are.
I thought the vaccines didn't stop the spread, but only stopped the seriousness of the illness?
They all do a good job stopping serious illness. The mRNAs are very good at stopping infection and pretty good at stopping transmission.
Viral vector vaccines arent so good at stopping infection or transmission do will do a bit (unless its .351 variant).
