How do GOF techniques alter a virus?
When a virus has been manipulated/altered in GOF research, would a vaccine to protect against it be produced as well by the research team?
Would such a vaccine be similar to 'traditional' vaccines (such as the French Valneva vaccine) or would a different technology be used -such as mRNA?
I am trying to understand whether it matters if a virus has been deliberately altered when considering the type of vaccine to counter it.

The vaccine just has to be effective, wherever the virus came from. A natural or engineering virus still has to be fought off, wherever it came from. It is all grist for the same mill.
