I opened the video posted above in anticipation that it would be some interesting and novel thinking twitter post that would take forward the discourse and open a lively debate. As of course discourse is what this site and these forums are about and its discourse that has been sorely missing for the last 12 months.
Proper discourse that is, based on data, evidence, science, experience and research from all sides and corners so that rather than the oft polarisation a route through this insanity can be found that benefits the majority in the country, while rationally but humanely considering the ultimate trade offs that sadly are going to need to be made. As they always have been and will always sadly need to be if we ever return to sane decision making.
But far more sadly the twitter video was a total waste of time and is symptomatic of the emotive, one case makes a point and wins the argument nonsense we are inordinately mired in. I could post a classic tic toc doctor dancing vid as a rebuttal but fear that possibly we could then well be here for a while.
Let's close down all media that dares to question the government narrative and encourages open and transparent debate? Over my dead body!

LDS isn't a arena of free speech. It is venue for LD sceptics to gather and debate, creatively and critically. I don't see any place for pro-LD posters on the board.

Toby Young is doing a good job of allowing free speech on this website, however reading the forums it now appears to have become a covid deniers website rather than a lockdown sceptic website.
I have seen many replies that tell me that very few people have actually died from covid and are then cheered on by other people. I am happy to have an informed debate about the success of lockdowns, the economic, health and mental health issues caused by lockdown, but denial that there is a problem is dangerous.
The theory seems to be that some rich people (not public school lads like Toby and Laurence Fox, some other rich people) are all trying to convince us that there is a problem when there isn't.

This is costing lives and is dangerous. If posters allow themselves to get away from discussion of the impact of lockdown you may well get reported. It would be a shame to lose a site where problems of lockdown can be discussed.
To be perfectly blunt who cares what a single doctor says. All I saw in that video is a very typical stressed out senior A&E doctor who I strongly suspect is lashing out because she now finds herself in a position quite different from the one she signed up for. Or rather she thought she signed up for.
I've seen whiny doctors / nurses like her before. They do tend to be women. I'd guess that when she signed up for the registrar position she though she just do the time and then its a nice cushy position as a consultant where she would have it made. Instead she find herself in the middle of PPE hell where the short cuts they used to do are no longer doable and its back to 1960's style ward decontamination and sterilization procedures. Not just the normal flu season crunch and scramble. Sure it a utter misery every shift, but tough sh*t lady. Life's not fair. Get over it.
You might have doctors on some kind of pedestal but I most certainly dont.
As someone who has had a serious (untreatable) medical condition for many decades and has been dealing with doctors for many decades both for myself any other family members with likewise untreatable medical conditions I put doctors in exactly the same category as lawyers. Who I have also been dealing with professionally for many decades. Some doctors are good, and can be quite useful. Some are outright dangerous and should be struck off. The will maim or kill you. And the rest are just parroting what they learnt in med school and doing day in day out. Going through the motions. Fine for run of the mill stuff, the easy stuff, the straight forward stuff. But anything out of the ordinary and they usually do more harm than good. I talk from bitter experience. I trust doctors as much as I trust lawyers. Which is initially not at all. They have to earn any trust given.
So I'd give that video you posted just as much credence as one posted by one of the cleaning staff. Who I might add, they and and the ancillary workers, are some of the finest people you can meet in a stressful hospital environment. Often the only humane face you will see in such a setting.
As for the rest of your diatribe. Who cares what you think. Or about your threats. Information and opinions on this site will not be curated to cater to your personal opinion of what is right or proper. If we post information that is incorrect then post primary sources or well reasoned arguments that show where the data or its analysis is incorrect. But some overwrought video by a stressed out doctor does not quality a primary source data. Its Just another opinion. And of no greater import than any other opinion here. In fact it means little or nothing in the greater scheme of things no matter what you might think of it.
