On June 9th, the Daily Sceptic ran an article about Dr. Nighat Arif in which we summarised and linked to an article in the Telegraph that suggested she had promoted AstraZeneca’s Covid vaccine on television without disclosing she had been paid by AstraZeneca to do so. The Telegraph has today published an apology to Dr. Arif, which you can read here.
We would also like to apologise to Dr. Arif, whom we now accept has never been paid by AstraZeneca to promote its Covid vaccine. We have removed the article from our website and deleted all the social media posts promoting that article.
When we published that article, we illustrated it with a picture of Dr. Arif taken from her account on X and we are happy to assure her that we will not reproduce that photograph again on our website or on any of our social media feeds.
