A newly-uncovered collection of documents detailing plans by U.S. researchers to create a Covid-like virus in the U.S. and China months before the pandemic make a lab origin “almost certain”, experts say. The Mail has more.
The records – obtained now by FOIA requests – lay out a plan to “engineer spike proteins” to infect human cells that would then be “inserted into SARS-Covid backbones” at the infamous Wuhan virology lab from December 2018.
Just a year later, in late 2019, the COVID-19 virus emerged with a uniquely adept ability to infect humans, going on to cause a global pandemic.
The proposal was made by the now-notorious EcoHealth Alliance, a New York nonprofit that channels U.S. Government grants abroad to fund these types of experiments.
Ultimately, the application was denied by the U.S. Department of Defence, but critics say the plans laid out in the proposal serve as a ‘blueprint’ for how to create Covid, and inadvertently start a pandemic.
The documents also show how EcoHealth deliberately tried to mislead the Pentagon on how risky the experiments were to secure funding.
Sen Rand Paul – who has been a vocal supporter of the lab leak theory – added the documents further support the “deception” used by players tied to the Wuhan lab.
Matt Ridley, a biologist and science writer who has written extensively about the potential lab leak in the past, said: “This latest [document] leak makes the case for a lab leak almost certain.
“A reckless experiment, known at the time to be reckless, probably caused the death of millions of people.
“Scientists and the media conspired to conceal the evidence. Let that sink in.”
The documents were obtained by nonprofit public health research group U.S. Right to Know, which has previously been accused of fueling anti-vaccine sentiments.
The grant proposal was entitled Project DEFUSE: Defusing the Threat of Bat-borne Coronaviruses.
It proposed engineering high-risk coronaviruses of the same species as the original SARS to preempt a human spillover and develop vaccine technology and strategies.
The team sought to synthesise spike proteins with furin cleavage sites that had been designed to bind to human receptors more easily.
The furin has been one of the focal points of debate about COVID-19’s origin, with some experts claiming it could only have been acquired through lab experiments.
The grant then proposed attaching the furin to coronavirus strains and infecting mice to see how ill it would make them.
The plan was then to use drugs and vaccines to treat the disease.
Dr. Richard Ebright, a chemical biologist at Rutgers University in New Jersey, told DailyMail.com: “These revelations are important because the experiments in the grant proposal likely – indeed highly likely – led to the creation and release of SARS-CoV-2.”
The grant proposal has raised concerns and some say it serves as further support of the Covid lab leak theory – that the virus was borne out of gain-of-function research bankrolled by the U.S. taxpayer through Dr. Anthony Fauci’s former department, a theory the FBI and other Government agencies now subscribe to.
The principal investigator on the project is listed as Peter Daszak, president of EcoHealth, a now-notorious health agency that uses US government money to sponsor there’s types of experiments abroad.
Other team members listed on the proposal include researchers from Duke-NUS Medical School, University of North Carolina, the USGS National Wildlife Health Center, Palo Alto Research Center and the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the lab where Covid is believed to have originated from.
The proposal listed Professor Shi Zhengli – been dubbed the ‘bat lady’ for her extensive work on bat coronaviruses at the WIV – as the lead on the project in Wuhan.
Additionally, Dr. Ralph Baric was listed as a subcontractor on the project. Dr. Baric is a known expert in making recombinant coronaviruses.
The documents show the experiments were proposed to take place at the WIV, which has fewer safety precautions for working with pandemic-potential specimens than the U.S., which was advertised to the DoD as cost-saving.
The American scientists concealed the lack of safety precautions from DARP in order to avoid national security concerns about conducting high-level biosafety research in China.

These documents were known months ago (and I can remember reading the grant application online). Interesting to wonder why it has taken MSM so long to pick up on it, and why they have now.
Still, better late than never.
So now we know the C1984 was a deliberate confection and we also know the release was deliberate. We also know at least two of the principle protagonists, Fauci and Daszak. We also are expected to believe that the release caused a pandemic – it didn’t but let’s go with their story – when, given all this evidence can we expect to see the trials start particularly as “millions” died from this deadly virus?
The millions of deaths were of course the result of the poisons passed off as “vaccines” which were forced into the arms of people the world over. Now that we have the starting point I see no reason once the likes of Fauci, Daszak, Whitty, Valance, van Tam, and particularly Farrar are forced in to court why the whole plot cannot be unravelled.

That’s not really true. All the article is about is that someone made an ultimatively rejected application for a research grant for experiments which – in hindsight – seem to have been targetted at creating a virus with a lot of similarities to Sars-CoV2. Considering the pandemic with millions of deaths when there absolutely was no such thing, I’m taking this with a huge grain of salt.
First, they engineered the virus which killed predominantly old and frail. Then, they rushed in an experimental treatment which killed young and healthy. Is there anything in the history of mankind which is more catastrophically stupid?
Not so sure the experimental jabs were ‘rushed in’ as there is evidence the batches varied in toxicity from placebo to deadly and those in charge got the placebos. This takes a lot of pre planning.

Just the 4 HIV inserts on the binding domain never seen in a Sars coronavirus, but proposed in DEFUSE, or the furin cleavage site not seen in Sars, but also in DEFUSE, and sharing a 19 nucleotide genetic sequence with a 2017 Moderna patent. Plus that furin cleavage site contains genetic sequences optimised for human amino acids, not bats. In fact Sars2 is barely infectious to bats.
No animal reservoir of Sars2 was ever found. Despite Sars2 spreading widely in nature, genetic analysis shows that all that spread was downstream of and after it infected humans.

It was most likely released into China from a US lab as an “economic” bioweapon to harm China financially with unforeseen blowback.
The “accidental” escape from a lab theory is doubtful and a full blown economic attack by rogue elements of the US against China much more likely.

A lab leak that was known about by government, who feared much worse consequences, can be the only plausible explanation for their overreaction.
All information from the Diamond Princess on symptoms, mortality and infection rate made it clear that the Covid was an unremarkable winter flu-like bug. It can be surmised that western governments locked down because they feared that Covid had additional GM nasties.
When governments across the world acted in Lockstep it is wholly implausible to dismiss lockdowns and the rest as ‘plausible overreaction.’

Nature has been combining and recombining genes for millions of years and at a speed no relatively clumsy human can ever hope to match. It’s therefore really infeasible that said clumsy humans stand any chance to win this race, ie, come up with a combination that’s viable and an improvement in some respect and new. Hence, the notion of additional GM nasties can be discarded.
On top of that comes the fact that all the strange Corona dance moves we had to perform in public, eg, cough into your arm instead of into your hand don’t ever dream of shaking someone’s hand¹, wouldn’t have helped anyone had Sars-CoV2 been a dangerous pathogen as they fell far short of precautions realistically expected to protect against dangerous pathogens.

This has been known for a long time, but well done for the Daily Mail for very belatedly releasing information about “the conspiracy.”
What is more to the point now is why the major “players” …. Fauci, Daszak, Baric, British $cientists who were in the know (Vallance, Farrer?) and others are not being prosecuted.
Or the whole of virology is a farce. Are we really supposed to believe that virologists can analyse down to molecular level, and play with altering DNA? How do they know at that level exactly what they are looking at? Has anyone ever seen an image of, or heard of SARS-CoV-2 isolation, i.e. complete isolation of the virus without any other constituents? Sure, there are marvellous pictures of spiky balls but they are not real.
I have zero medical training so maybe the article is 100% true but if a deadly virus was released it was not very effective, as shown by the fact that many European countries did not experience increased deaths at the end of 2019 or beginning of 2020. In Germany, there were less deaths than in previous years.
Emptying hospitals causes suffering and death. Cancelling medical treatment causes suffering and death. Isolating the aged causes suffering and death. All for what?
There are far more people than just Fauci and Daszak who should be placed deep behind bars.

Except that the virus has indeed been isolated.
There are multiple examples of scientists isolating SARS-CoV-2 (here, here, here, here), the virus that causes COVID-19 disease, where they also sequenced the complete genome (here, here, here).

I am absolutely unqualified to argue the point but they (and others I would have to look up) have very convincing arguments against the whole subject of virology. Interesting stuff! I personally checked all-cause mortality statistics from different European countries (easy enough to do) and there clearly was no deadly disease hitting Europe in early 2020.
In general I agree with your remarks. We do not have an electron micrograph of Covid (still) or an actual proper DNA sequence not produced from a mixed sample. It is foolish to attempt DNA sequencing from a sample containing all kinds of stuff, and not isolated, pure, whatever. The fact there is not a pure sample still (and there is a lot of money as a prize for producing one) shows that the whole lot is a complete sham.

The Mail article misses the other piece of the puzzle: we know that after the Dept of Defence rejected this proposal, funding was obtained from Fauci’s National Institutes of Health, and the research went ahead at Wuhan.
Incidentally, Wuhan wasn’t just chosen because it was cheap. This type of research was against the law at the time in the United States – it was outlawed under President Obama. Interestingly, this law was changed to make it legal again under President Trump.
This whole can of worms makes the pandemic fiasco easy to understand. The government response across the West was a Security response, not a Public Health response. Hence the massive propaganda, the draconian restrictions and the apparent about-turn by the Public Health people in March 2020. They even renamed Public Health England to the Health Security Agency!
The lockdowns basically happened in NATO countries plus China (where the research says carried out). Others followed in a very half-hearted way indeed. And Sweden was at that time one of the few Western countries that was not part of NATO.
I don’t know whether the truth about all this will ever emerge. But if it does, it will be the biggest scandal since the War.

Security response to what? The condemic was invented by Christian Drosten who developed the Sars-CoV2 PCR test and came up with the Sars 2.0 name, to make up for the regrettable fact that the original Sars virus never managed to gain traction outside of a hospital. From the start, the plan was also to vaccinate the world out of the condemic using experimental gene technology which – despite two decades of wild experimentation – hadn’t ever yielded anything useful so far.
The point of Corona measures, at least outside of Zero COVID lala-land (China, Australia and New Zealand) was to maintain the pandemic narrative despite nothing unusual was happening — nothing unusual except Corona measures, that is — until the experimental gene technology product was ready for use. As all its predecessors, it turned out to be unfit for any purpose except being sold to participiating governments.
That’s a scandal of epic proportions and its still ongoing. The whole point of exercises in futility¹ like the Hallet inquiry is to maintain the notion that A Deadly Pandemic had actually occured despite all the evidence to the contrary (such as Belarus never had any corona measures and nothing unusual happened there, Corona measures were abolished in Florida in summer 2020 and nothing unusual happened there, Corona measure were abolished in Texas in Winter 2020 and nothing unusual happened there, the Ukraine invasion in 2022 forced an end to Corona measures there and killed public health infrastructure in the warzone as side effect and nothing unsual happened there
and so on).

I’m convinced the whole “engineered virus cum lab-leak” hypothesis is a distraction. As others have pointed out, both the virology (and in particular regarding the behaviour of RNA viruses) and genetics are full of mythology and willfull blindness on the part of the practitioners. We are led to believe that scientists can engineer infectious and deadly RNA viruses that can circulate the globe and we should all be very scared. It’s worth asking questions about the whole SARS-Cov2 narrative from the identification of the “novel” virus to the PCR testing, treatments and mRNA transfection. Not only is it possible a particular strand of RNA was cloned and multiplied, distributed around the globe and “innocent” geneticists fooled by the apparent evidence of a novel virus but also that Covid deaths were caused by the protocols, including denial of existing treatments for respiratory illness and pneumonia, excessive ventilation, Midazolam and Remdesivir. I would recommend watching JJ Couey on Gigaohmbiological for a thorough analysis of the scam and encourage everyone to stop perpetuating the “deadly viral pandemic that could happen again soon” narrative.
