Welcome to episode 28 of the Sceptic! On the show this week, host Laurie Wastell speaks to the following guests:
- Peter Hitchens, columnist at the Mail on Sunday and author of books including The Abolition of Britain, on the bombshell expert findings about Lucy Letby and why her case must now be heard again
- Barrister Adam King, on his client with the Free Speech Union, former Royal Marine Jamie Michael, being found not guilty of stirring up racial hatred – and what it says about the Government’s post-Southport crackdown
- And for our premium subscribers, Laurie speaks to pseudonymous commentator Eugyppius, author of the substack Eugyppius: a plague chronicle, on the chaos in German politics after the fall of the German establishment parties’ cordon sanitaire against the AfD

“Radical right AFD” ???? Our esteemed German correspondent RW, whose judgement I respect, has always said that AFD’s policies are what was mainstream up until recently.
Something is rotten in the state of Europe!
The European political class got the shock of their lives from J D Vance, who refused to meet the German Chancellor, and then went on to speak at length with AfD’s leader Alice Weidel.
To compound their horror, they were force to listen as Vance read them the riot act:

Now they CANNOT cancel Germany’s upcoming election, whatever the result.
I wouldn’t be so sure about that. The old, past it but still in power parties are terrified by AfD. And Germany – which never seems to learn from its past has gone full-on real Fascist to beat the not real Fascists
Turns out no cancellation was necessary – just some smears and decades of the long march through the institutions by the left. AfD stuck at 20%.
The purpose of the court is to obtain justice. Lucy Letby’s case should be opened again on this new evidence from these highly qualified Experts.
The way she and Richard D Hall have been abused by the Court system makes me ashamed of our legal system.
Interesting discussion with the barrister Adam King. ‘Stirring up hate’ looks like an easy trap to fall into, with the current state of justice.
