‘Trump Peace Plan for Ukraine Leaked’: Ceasefire by Easter, Territory Ceded and No NATO Membership

by Will Jones
6 February 2025 3:48 PM

A document reported by Ukrainian media to be Trump’s ‘Peace Plan for Ukraine’ has been leaked and includes a ceasefire by Easter, the ceding of land to Russia and no NATO membership. The Mail has more.

Trump, who has long claimed that he would be able to negotiate an ending to the brutal invasion of Ukraine in a single day, is said to be working to end the war within 100 days.

The unconfirmed plans, reported by Ukrainian outlet Strana, have been doing the rounds in “political and diplomatic circles” in Ukraine, and will include a ceasefire by April 20th that would freeze Russia’s steady advance, a ban on Ukraine from joining NATO and a demand for Kyiv to accept Russian sovereignty on annexed land.

On top of this, Ukrainian troops will be made to leave Russia’s Kursk region, where it launched a counteroffensive in August, while a contingent of European soldiers, which could include British troops, would be asked to police a demilitarised zone. American troops will not be involved in this contingent.

The EU will reportedly be asked to assist Ukraine in its reconstruction efforts, which may cost as much as $486 billion (£392 billion) over the next decade according to the German Marshall Fund thinktank.

The plans will reportedly begin with a phone call between Zelensky and Vladimir Putin in early February, a meeting between the two warring leaders in late February to early March and an official ceasefire declaration of a ceasefire by April 20th.

A declaration on the agreed parameters for ending the war would then be released by May 9th, after which Kyiv would be asked not to extend martial law or mobilise troops.

While many of the terms of the reported plans include concessions for Ukraine, Trump is also reportedly planning on continuing American support for Ukraine’s military, as well as a pathway for it to join the EU by 2030.

But Russia would also make significant gains as the plans include lifting sanctions on Russian energy over several years, though money from special duties on energy will be used to help fund Ukraine’s rebuilding efforts.

Zelensky’s office has strenuously denied the legitimacy of the peace plans.

Andriy Yermak, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, wrote on Telegram that they did not “exist in reality”, adding that such reports often disguised allegations spread by Russians.

Worth reading in full.

Meanwhile preparations for a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump are said to be at an “advanced stage”. Russian state news agency RIA today quoted senior lawmaker Leonid Slutsk that talks between the two leaders are imminent, possibly taking place later this month or next month.

The Telegraph reports that Trump’s peace plan is expected to be presented at the Munich Security Conference next week.

The blueprint would reportedly be presented to allies by Keith Kellogg, the President’s Special Representative for Ukraine, in the first step towards ending the conflict.

The proposal, which is expected to be delivered during the conference in Germany, would come a week before the war reaches its three year mark.

It includes potentially freezing the conflict and the territory occupied by Russian forces while assuring Ukraine with security guarantees to ensure that Moscow cannot attack again.

“I’ll meet with America’s allies who are ready to work with us,” Mr Kellogg said, appearing to confirm plans to attend the Munich gathering.

You ain’t seen nuthin’ yet. He’s only getting started and he has a tight schedule – maybe 18 months before the mid-terms and the campaign to elect his successor takes over.

DOGE has lots more stones to upturn yet.

Good luck with that.

‘Russian media tycoon and close Putin associate Konstantin Malofeyev similarly said that Moscow would reject Trump’s peace plan.

According to Malofeyev, Russia would tell Kellogg to go “screw himself” unless peace negotiations involve talks “not about the future of Ukraine, but the future of Europe and the world.”

Such statements from influential figures echo the chorus of Russian media pundits, who regularly decry the notion that Russia should settle for anything less than Ukraine’s capitulation.’

‘Whatever the case may be, the U.S. has already won a strategic victory over Russia, which has expended enough resources and manpower to seriously degrade its capabilities.

Trump can now either succeed in ending the war with a settlement or watch as Russia continues to grind itself down.

This, in turn, enables the President to fully pursue his pivot to China, America’s most formidable adversary that is already causing AI induced headaches for Trump’s second term.’

Trump and Putin will meet before, very soon and they won’t be discussing roses.

As I say, good luck with that.

‘…neither Putin nor his foreign policy advisers have given up their goal of resurrecting the Tsarist/Soviet empire as it existed from the 1780s to the 1980s.

The source of today’s troubles was not NATO expansion but Moscow’s imperial ambitions.

A pause in the Ukraine war would permit the Kremlin to rebuild Russia’s forces and, after NATO and Kyiv relax, renew its push to take all of Ukraine and go on to Moldova, the Baltic states, and elsewhere in Moscow’s “near abroad.”

….the Kremlin’s promise of non-aggression means nothing. In 1945 the USSR signed the UN Charter banning war except in self-defense or for collective security. Earlier, the Litvinov Protocol in 1928 renounced war as an instrument of national policy — something ignored in 1939 when Stalin joined Hitler in invading Eastern Europe.

More recently, Kyiv only agreed to transfer its Soviet-era nuclear weapons to Russia and join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in 1994 in exchange for assurances from Moscow, Washington, and London to respect Ukraine’s independence and borders, assurances that have been repeatedly broken.’

‘…genuine reconciliation with Ukraine and the West will require deep change in the Russian Federation, and it could take generations to shift the prevailing mindset.

Until such reforms and shifts take root, Russia will likely maintain its imperialistic ambitions.’

Of course it’s never really seemed plausible that Putin would be willing to agree to European and/or British peacekeeping forces being on the “zero line”, as it would prevent him from resuming the war at a later date and would lose him Ukraine forever. However, this offer – if this supposed “peace plan” is genuine, which is doubtful – is only part of the overall Kellogg policy document, and if the offer is rejected ought (if Trump follows through) to lead to Trump arming Ukraine more vigorously – perhaps by trying to persuade Europe to seize the frozen Russian Central Bank assets (>$200bn) so as to be able to sell the policy domestically. This assumes Zelenskyy would be willing to agree to the plan, which it seems like he might (if only in the knowledge that he’d never be held to it, because of Putin’s rejection).

But but Ukraine/NATO are winning and will win – according to some expert on here.
So why even a hint of surrender one wonders.

‘Russia now occupies slightly less than 20% of the Ukrainian territory, as it was defined in 1991. However, most of this occupied territory was taken before the full-scale war, with Crimea, which was occupied in 2014. Of the newly occupied territory, there is only one medium-sized Ukrainian city. Of the smaller cities that have been taken by Russia, all are in ruins. Taking a city means basically destroying it, razing it to the ground. So, the reality is that the gains made by Russia have been turned into just a sort of wasteland, which is both a travesty and unhelpful to Russia’s effort.

I think that (Putin) enjoys it. But it’s also true that people around him are getting richer due to military production and war profiteering. The war also justifies in his mind very harsh political repressions, which keep him in power despite his being very unpopular. We must remember that this war never made sense. Ukraine is a huge country with 40 million people; how could he imagine occupying it? It was irrational, so therefore it would not happen. People who study authoritarian regimes, however, know that dictators do crazy things. And Putin is no exception.

Putin seems to have high expectations for Donald Trump—unreasonable ones. He thinks that Trump will deliver much: the total subjugation of Ukraine, including prohibiting Ukraine from having its own armed forces. This is totally delusional: Ukraine now possesses one of the largest defense industries in all of Europe and would never agree to dismantling it now.

The vast majority of American people support Ukraine. A very solid majority of U.S. elected representatives are also for supporting Ukraine. The American people see, as the European people see, that this was an unprovoked aggression and a war of conquest, with a clear victim and a clear aggressor. I understand the political fuss, but eventually it’s the American people and the representatives who speak.

Putin has high hopes for Trump, but Trump will not be able to deliver the lopsided agreement that Putin is hoping for.

Putin is the main obstacle for negotiations. He’s not really interested in meaningful talks. Nor is he interested in negotiating security guarantees—Ukraine getting NATO protection, or steps like Polish, Swedish, or Norwegian troops on the border. His goal is to subjugate Ukraine. For him, it’s not territory. It’s control over the whole country.

What could cause him to stop? I think there is an outside chance of a military coup.’

The whole reason that Russia is fighting on the ground, often field by field, street by street, is that they are trying to minimize damage. This is what happened in WW2, with the US and Britain carpet bombing cities but the Russians taking them relatively unscathed. Of course if Russia accepts there are regions it will never be allowed to keep, this gives them a free pass to bomb them to pieces.

Good to see such an accurate /verbatim recap of the Globalist excuses for their war…..be prepared to be very shocked when the real reasons become very clear, as to just why this war was waged…..I shall await developments.

At the ripe old age of 71 and after 25 years in power, you know very well that Putin has absolutely no desire to conquer any new or old USSR territories whatsoever; he was forced into the Ukraine war by USA and your friends in NATO, as well as by the atrocities of the Ukrainian Bandera Nazis. Unfortunately, one cannot maintain the same fact with regard to the USA, especially with the new President and this age-old idea that somehow USA has the right to impose its will worldwide. Just what does Trump think he will achieve by threatening China, a country with whom USA does excellent business and which has never threatened USA? Peace is beneficial to the whole world (except perhaps the MIC); threatening foreign countries is simply immature. All the world’s countries are well able to look after themselves.

‘It is important to understand the nature of the war unleashed by Vladimir Putin almost three years ago.

Crucially, this is not a conventional war for land that can be resolved by offering limited territorial concessions.

Putin’s goals are far more ambitious. He is waging the current war in order to undermine the existing international security architecture and replace it with a new world order where a handful of great powers are able to dominate their neighbors.

Since launching the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Putin has repeatedly outlined his vision for a “multipolar world order” that would reverse the verdict of the Cold War and create a world divided into spheres of influence.

Putin’s dream of establishing a new world order is reflected in his push for bilateral talks with the United States to discuss the fate of Ukraine and Europe without Ukrainian or European participation. He wants to demonstrate that sovereignty is negotiable and convey the message that some nations are more equal than others.’

https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/ukrainealert/russias-war-against-the-west-will-continue-until-putin-tastes-defeat/

Putin wants a Russian dominated ‘Union State’ of 250 million camped on the Eastern border of the EU, a European superstate dominating the foreign and domestic policy of Britain and the EU.

That simply isn’t going to happen.

Trump is a negotiator. In negotiations, the initial offer is rarely what is finally agreed.

‘When Russians negotiate outside of Russia, their approach often clashes with leading cultures in the West – and notably the United States, Europe and the United Kingdom.

The Western negotiation paradigm is based on sharing information; such disclosure is seen as a prerequisite for establishing an effective cooperative win-win process. In Russia, in contrast, negotiators do not want to volunteer any information.

While Westerners will often approach negotiations with a cooperative attitude, the Russian businessman or politician will approach it with force and a confrontation mentality. This difference often prevents the two sides from reaching common ground for the duration of the negotiation.’

You will see.

What is liable to start happening soon , is just how much corruption has been enabled by this war…a lot of the ‘great and the good’….will hopefully be brought to account, for not only ripping us all off, but causeing Somme levels of death…..if anything liked the rumours are real, then it will be stunning.

Lets all pray the fighting stops yesterday.

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated during a news briefing today (https://tass.com/politics/1909619) that:

“A temporary truce, or what many refer to as a freeze of the conflict, is simply unacceptable. The collective West and its individual representatives will use it to enhance the military potential of the Kiev regime and, of course, to pursue armed military revanche.”

Zakharova emphasized that Russia requires “reliable, legally binding agreements and mechanisms that would guarantee the prevention of a resumption of the crisis.”

So Trump can forget his idea of a peace plan. Russia will never allow foreign troops to occupy any part of Ukraine.

Zakharova also stated (https://mid.ru/ru/foreign_policy/news/1995004/):

“The Americans have long had their eye on the natural resources of Ukraine. With the help of the corrupt Kiev regime, they have managed to effortlessly get their hands on, in particular, agriculture, including fertile land … the Kiev regime is giving it all away itself. In 2024, Vladimir Zelensky proposed all this for “joint development.” But we understand that, being tied to debt obligations and destroyed from statehood to industry, Ukraine cannot do anything with anyone together. And that it was proposed to simply take all this, if only “these” [Zelensky and Co.] remained in power.”

On https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8AydnrWcUk, Col. Douglas Macgregor stated that Cargill, Dupont and Monsanto have heavily invested in Ukraine’s agriculture. BlackRock is also known to be investing in Ukraine, so it is a bit of tongue in cheek of Trump to demand that Europe pays to rebuild the country – although clearly both USA and Europe are responsible for its destruction.

Macgregor also stated that Zelensky earns $11 million per month! Not sure if that is true but, if so, he must be the best paid president in the world!

“The plans will reportedly begin with a phone call between Zelensky and Vladimir Putin in early February…“

Difficult to square this with Putin’s reported refusal ever to deal with Zelensky since his legitimacy as leader expired with the cancelled Ukrainian elections nearly a year ago.

Territory ceded, no NATO – wasn’t that on the table in March 2023 before BoZo Johnson was dispatched by Crime Boss Joe Biden – or whoever was pulling his strings – to scupper the imminent oeance deal?

And territory ceded, no NATO would have meant no armed conflict in the first place.
