More than 10% of farmland in England is set to be diverted towards helping to achieve Net Zero and protecting wildlife by 2050, the Environment Secretary will reveal today. The Telegraph has the story.
Swathes of the countryside are on course to be switched to solar farms, tree planting and improving habitats for birds, insects and fish.
The move is part of a consultation being launched by Steve Reed, the Environment Secretary, on how the competing priorities of food production, Net Zero and nature should be reconciled in England.
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs estimates that 9% of farmland would need to be removed from food production by 2050 to meet green targets, the Telegraph understands. A further 5% is expected to be mostly taken out of production owing to a decreased level of food output, and another 4% will share space with trees.
Mr Reed will insist that his framework will not impose changes on landowners, but the figures are likely to reignite Labour’s row with farmers who expressed concerns that the strategy could lead to the Government telling them what they can grow and where.
The Government will say that the land use framework consultation, which was first promised under the Conservatives, will protect the most productive agricultural land.
In a speech at the Royal Geographic Society in Kensington, Mr Reed will say: “Using the most sophisticated land use data ever published, we will transform how we use our land to deliver on our Plan for Change. That means enabling the protection of prime agricultural land, restoring our natural world and driving economic growth.”
The Government has ambitious targets to increase woodland in England by 20%, or about 265,000 hectares, by 2050, accounting for a third of the change in farm use. It has also set a target to build 1.5 million new homes, install hundreds of square miles of solar panels and onshore wind turbines, and protect 30% of the land for nature.
The UK is committed to reaching Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, meaning as much carbon is removed from the atmosphere as is produced. Tree planting targets are expected to be a major contributor to this, as is the restoration of peatland.
Some 70% of England is farmland, and a 9% reduction would bring this down by 760,000 hectares.
Farming groups have warned of growing threats to food security, expressing concern over the implications in the Government’s analysis. “Whenever the state gets involved, its tendency is to only become ever more prescriptive,” said Victoria Vyvyan, the President of the Country Land and Business Association.
“Government must build safeguards into the policy to prevent mission creep, or else it is entirely possible that, in years to come, the man from the ministry will be telling farmers what they are and aren’t allowed to grow, plant and rear on their land.”

They saw the previous post…?
Glad to be back on the subject of coronabollox after the absolute drivel in the preceding article about Putin suffering from long COVID madness.
The MSM are such a predictable broken record.
We are the goodies, they are the baddies, the baddie leader is mad, the baddie leader is Hitler.
Yep – but sad to see TY with the infection!
You read it here, chap.
Well there’s covid, and long covid, and loud noises and the shock of inflation, and children have always had lots of heart attacks, and fear of Russia invading Ukraine, and the excitement of watching live sport after a two year break, and tennis, but definitely not spike proteins.
“let me raise this baseline significantly so then it looks more acceptable!”
Well, it’s clearly ‘post-pandemic stress disorder’, isn’t it … ?
Revealed by a MSM journalist many months ago.
Climate change? Amiright?
Breathing all that Co2 from the masks has caused the temperature to rise in people’s lungs, this has melted the heart just like with icebergs.
Quick get Greta to warn the world.
I think I know the answer.
I met up with my dad today; a biannual non-event that neither party relishes. He and his partner were full of stories of sudden illnesses and deaths amongst their friends including a few, yes, heart attacks. They recounted the story of a friend in Prague who had had a heart attack due to covid. My eight year old daughter looked at me with a look of “hmm, not sure about that” It was a sorry affair; I suspect this is not unusual. We will now live in an era of generally declining health, sudden (or the dreaded ‘short’) illnesses and wall to wall cognitive dissonance. Fourth shot anyone? Ooh yes please.
Old people love illness, it is all many of them have to talk about.
They try and out compete their friends as to how many pharmaceuticals they are on and how many operations they have had.
It’s not only an “age” thing. I’ve come across people of all ages who revel in illnesses, either real or imagined, and for whom ailments are their principal, sometimes only, topic of conversation.
Personally, I cleave to the notion that my health is nobody’s business but mine, and that discussing it is boring for me and everybody else anyway.
The one that gets to me is when people try to talk up the “covid” cold they had and try to make it sound as if it was very different to other colds they’ve had. Except when you try to really get to the bottom of how it was different all they have to offer is “it felt different”.
Old people love illness
Not this one.
Well MrTea you are not too wrong.
As each carbon unit exhales 40000 ppm of Carbon Dioxide with every breath can you imagine the harm done by putting a dirty rag over your mouth and nose?
I suppose their is an unside as they are saving the “planet” from deadly global warming by breathing in all that plant food.
Upside!
Gordon Bennett – don’t I just know this. Two male friends of mine just LOVE talking about their ailments. Neither have worked for years and they are both 64 and 60 respectively.
Oddly enough one goers diving and cyclig 20kms a day and the other works ‘on ther side’ as plumber. Strange how they can do that(sarc)
I reckon you need to start on empathy supplements.
Ah always good to see an expert on “old” people, like me. I’m 70. On no medication, never have been. Don’t get sick as I keep busy and don’t eat any crap whatsoever.
Ageist twattery. How many “old” people do you actually know and converse with?
>I met up with my dad today; a biannual non-event that neither party relishes.
I’m sorry but that’s the saddest part of this entire post. Please try and overcome those barriers. I would say that to anyone – family or friends.
It’s strange isn’t it? If you go to the doctor with say a back pain or a skin problem, 9 times out of 10 the doc might say have you done anything different/has anything happened that could have caused this? Same when you see the vet with an animal, first thing they ask has anything changed? food, exercise, etc etc. With this, nobody wants to look at the massive thing that’s changed over the time period under discussion.
Good analogy/observation.
This is perhaps the most astute and yet worrying aspect. You can picture GPs asking “what’s happened recently?” When one mentions the jab, they put their fingers in their ears and all you can hear is them saying “lalalalalallalallalalalallalala” followed by “so nothing unusual then?”
When you go to a doctor??? What/where?
We are witnessing the opening months, that will turn into years of the biggest contrived medical disaster in the history of mankind! That’s why the West has forced Putin to act…look over there, don’t look over here!
^^^^^^^^^
They’ll try to claim it was covid, but those of us who held out without a single dose of the jab will be able to prove otherwise. We’ve literally done the world a massive favour which perhaps one day they will recognise.
Not sure if writer will see this but worth saying cardiac arrest is not the same as a heart attack. The HART article is about cardiac arrest, this is when the heart stops completely or has essentially useless electrical activity only with no circulation. This is about 90-95% fatal outside hospital, always, even with prompt resuscitation attempts and ambulance call out.
A heart attack is caused by a blockage of one or more coronary arteries. This is the classic chest pain scenario, with reasonably prompt medical treatment it is usual to recover, if not necessarily completely, with the aid of medication and or invasive procedures or surgery.
It is possible for a heart attack to lead to arrest with no treatment but not all arrests are caused by heart attacks.
It is important to differentiate between the two.
Sorry for being pedantic.
Your pedantry is welcome and it adds to the picture. Most will appreciate your input, except of course the resident troll from 77th Brigade.
It isn’t being pedantic at all, it is a physiological difference not semantics. Usually respiratory arrest precedes cardiac arrest in children, as cardiac arrest is unusual in Paeds.
If you have a myocardial infarction then you are likely to have chest pain, left arm pain, jaw pain if you are male. Females, may not have chest pain but upper abdominal pain. Diabetics may not get the chest pain but may get upper abdominal pain. There’s also silent MI, where there is no chest pain but you feel very unwell and short of breath, you look grey.
In cardiac arrest you drop suddenly usually without warning, in these cases CPR and the attachment of an automatic external defibrillator is essential.
The well publicised events of footballers such Eriksen (who may play this weekend in England) being resuscitated shows the importance of immediate CPR and early defibrillation.
Not pedantic at all. Thanks for the info! I think I knew at some point, but have since forgotten I had forgotten.
Hmm this is pedantry but more importantly, is it at all relevant? -heart attacks, PEs and strokes leading to cardiac arrest all have one thing in common: clot
It’s very obvious some work needs to be urgently done to understand why so many extra clots are occurring and why they seem to have occurred precisely staggered across age cohorts, starting with eldest first
Not really the kind of pattern that matches any natural process…
Clot rhymes with …
Thanks for this, @ituex. This was new to me. But can you please define what a heart attack is, because what you do here is to say what causes it (coronary arterial blockage) and what it causes (chest pain), but not what it is. I realise it must be something that happens to the heart, but what?
Am I right that all deaths involve cardiac arrest? That may sound a silly question, but what I mean to ask is whether there are restrictions on what the causes of a complete heart stoppage are for it to be called a cardiac arrest.
The Pfizer trial was stopped after 6 months (it was supposed to run for 3 years) because the number of heart attacks was 500% higher in the vaccine group over placebo and the all cause mortality was 50% higher in the vaccine group.
When your trial data shows that your product causes lots of heart attacks and death you should be surprised when it causes lots of hear attack and death in the generl population.
[Note that the Pfizer trials were manipulated to high heaven in order to make the results look as good as possible so the statistics could well be worse]
but it did stop people getting a cough!
Apart from all the people that got a really nasty dose of the coof straight after being injected with magic sauce.
LOL thanks for that!
Figures are somewhat off here even if the picture is accurate: more heart problems in Pfizer with more deaths overall
Please don’t fuel COVID fanatics by getting the numbers wrong

I’m more interested to see change by age group. The number of footballers who’ve died from heart attacks in the last year is unprecedented.
Yes I do not see the need to discuss the oldies above when it is clearly the young that suffer myocarditis from this poison.
I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss older people suffering serious side effects from the poke. In fact, I think that automatic dismissal, i.e. it’s not uncommon for older people to have strokes, heart attacks, etc., was what allowed the poke to be rolled out so easily. Right after the roll-out started we were hearing about increasing deaths in care homes and among the elderly, which was explained away as their either getting corona before being jabbed or during the period between the 2 shots, or they were already weak and it was just a coincidence.
Side effects like strokes and heart attacks in younger cohorts are obviously more difficult to hide, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t an exceptional increase in these events in older cohorts as well. If that had been looked at more seriously at the time, the roll-out to younger age groups would never have happened.
A friend of mine who works in aged care tried to sound the alarm (four dead in one day, just after the shot) – and found it extremely difficult.
All sorts of obstacles.
I don’t think any footballers have died from a heart attack this year, it is sudden cardiac arrest.
John have a look at the ex Southampton and England footballer’s Matt Letiseur (?) writing and videos on the issue – quite an eye-opener.
LeTissier. An elegant footballer of the highest degree, and eloquent also on the matter of Covid. Unusually articulate for an English footballer of that era. And a joy to watch whether you were a Saints supporter or not; as I am not.
My better half said the other day that it’s like saying cot death doesn’t happen because 0% of adults die from it.
Ah,cot death. There is a point
Many years go, being of a curious nature, I attended a lecture by a lady on the subject of vaccines. She was giving it on behalf of a close friend who had written some books on the subject and who also spent his time travelling to enlighten whoever would listen. She told us that cot death nearly always happened up to 10 days of the child receiving a vaccine. I wonder if there are any statistics to verify this?
https://www.bmj.com/rapid-response/2011/10/28/vaccination-and-cot-death
Younger demographics seems to suffer higher incidences of myocarditis than older demographics. What age group was the jab being rolled out to in late May? Perhaps the ‘vaccines’ affected that age group particularly badly with cardiac arrests…..?
I agree. Here in Italy most of the sudden deaths from heart attacks seem to be in people (mostly men) in their 40s, 50s and 60s – 2 local mayors, numerous police officers, lots of teachers and medical staff. Many stories of relatives not being able to get in touch with a family member and then finding them dead at home. There has also been a spate of younger people dying in their sleep. Older people just simply seem to catch Covid despite being thrice jabbed (or develop Covid-like symptoms due to the jab) and die from it. Here’s a website which has been gleaning reports on sudden deaths around the country since January 2021 from local newspapers (never the national press): Esclusa Correlazione – Vaccini anti Covid-19 ed eventi avversi – Nessuna correlazione o nesso
The Covidians will just say that heart problems are due to the virus.
They have already attributed the extra sports deaths to Covid.
Almost everyone on here can see that it is due to the experimental jabs but the elites have too much to lose to investigate that.
Hopefully some brave journalist in the main stream media will start asking questions when insurance premiums rocket for those that have been jabbed.
Yes, they will blame the “virus”, even though the sudden death surge didn’t really get going until into 2021. So small wonder they got rid of the control group so quickly.
The unvaxxed are now the real control group and the truth may become undeniable if the longer term vax damage piles up.
I was playing with the idea of becoming a member of vaxcontrolgroup.com
But it felt like I would be feeding the beast in some way…
In the end I decided just to let the NHS figure it out. They must know I haven’t been jabbed, right?! Well, they can get in touch if they want. I might tell them where to stick it, but equally I might demand a yearly salary of £100K if they want to examine how I have coped without the experimental drugs. “Very well, thanks!”
My OH is undergoing investigations to find out why he has an increasing number of dizzy spells that occasionally lead to him falling down – on one occasion he ‘came to’ in the middle of a road. Everything so far is ‘normal’ apart from an irregular heart beat on the occasions he gets the dizzy/falling down events. Covid and Lyme disease are under suspicion this week. It really got worse after his vaccinations but he won’t admit that and doctors have never mentioned it. The doctor son won’t entertain the notion and I have stopped mentioning the vaccine link as they think I’ve been brainwashed. I’m unjabbed and intend staying that way.
Sorry to hear about your other half.
I’m afraid it is them that have been brainwashed.
Well done for being part of our small control group.
Thank you for your support. it’s good to know there are others out there like me. Pity about the friends and family though…

That looks like a good site.
Thanks. It’s my site. I mostly just aggregate stuff from different anti-lockdown sources.
You know what’s next!
A few weeks ago people were saying they fearing for their jobs. In a few months, it may be next to impossible for some people who took the jab to get a job.
We then we all know what is next … those who didn’t take the jab will be compelled (by those that did) to regularly donate blood, because they can’t use the blood from those that did.
A friend’s husband, 57 slim, fit and in good health had 2 x AZ jabs and a Pfizer booster. 4 weeks after the booster he had a sudden, massive heart attack caused by blood clots. He survived but his heart has sustained severe damage. Two weeks after being discharged he was re-admitted to hospital with arrhythmia and what sounds like myocarditis. He is unlikely to work again.
I personally know three people who ended up in hospital having heart operations early in 2021, “coincidentally” as the vaccine rolled out. I recently came across someone else in my professional capacity, who has had two distinct bouts of pericarditis, one early in 2021, and the other, seemingly more severe, from December to date. Obviously caused by the vaccine, to my mind, but not one of them has joined the dots. Astonishing to me.
It’s a form of mass delusion. People have been subject to a complete deluge of undiluted covid propaganda. Many people have totally lost touch with reality … and not just ordinary people … including those producing the propaganda. I call it a “hysteria feedback loop” … when the propagandists start believing their own lies and they start in a vicious cycle of pushing the boundaries of truth, changing what is morally acceptable until very ordinary people can commit utter insane atrocities.
Pericarditis can occur post myocardial infarction (blockage of coronary arteries due to blood clots) https://almostadoctor.co.uk/encyclopedia/pericarditis
if your friend’s husband had heart damage as a result of an infarct then arrhythmia and pericarditis are not unexpected, even with a coronary artery bypass graft (CABG)
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S240581811530057X myocarditis may appear as an acute MI due to similar symptoms.
Quite recently, there has been an increase in NHS and Heart Foundation advertising about coronary problems. A lot of the ads are new. Coincidence?
Check this out. NHS advertising “multiple caseworker posts within the Vaccine Damage Payment Team”.

I bet you have to be vaccinated in order to apply.
Tsk, tsk, MiniTruth approved vocab is that there are just “minor health glitches”.
Thoughts on this anyone?
my mum 84 has had all three jabs. Not well first and second but okay third. She thinks she had covid/or flue badly early 2020 but was frightened into the jabs.
Her health this past year has got steadily worse although she is a trooper! And is not one for giving up tries to walk and do what she can. Prior to covid she had emphysema, a brain bleed, and they thought she may have unstable angina although not a firm decision.
So this past year all of these symptoms have got worse with additional things, for example pain down her arm, chest and mid back and weak legs. She was admitted to hospital for three days and she told them about her worry over the jabs. One doc was irritated but the main doc said that her de-dimer test was high but they could not find any clots and her heart was fine. So they sent her home to go as an outpatient for ongoing tests. But she is still unwell with those pains arm, chest and back and she looks pale in her face.
We cannot afford private second opinion but mum thinks it could be the vaccine but has had no diagnoses as yet. I know this forum is not health questions but just wondered if anyone else had similar experiences and any solution ideas ?
I have told her to take Vit D aspirin and C.
Maria, if you have access to a Chinese medicine practitioner, this kind of thing is being treated a lot by alternative medicine practitioners… Usually it would be an herbal prescription based on diagnosis within the Chinese medicine system …but also could include acupuncture or other therapies. There is a lot that can be done outside of the normal western medical system to alleviate discomfort and pain post Covid or Vax…
Thank you I will have a look, kind of you to advise
If she’s taking Vit D3 she needs to be taking it with Vit K2 & magnesium. Black seed oil is a good one as it is a zinc ionophere, she needs to be on 30mg zinc too. For microclots 2,000fu nattokinase daily plus n-acetyl-cysteine to support mitrochondrial & DNA repair which the lovely jabs have destroyed. Pine needle tea, twice a day helps to rid the body of all the post jab crap. I know this as it’s what has been advised to help with the microclots in long covid & rattle myself!
I hope that she benefits.
World Council for Health has some good advice.
“Why are there so many heart attacks?”
Easiest question of the day…..
A big thank to the MSM for highlighting all the above “high risk” activities connected with Cardiac Arrest…..I had thought it might be connected to the “vaccines” and now feel foolish for avoiding all of them.
Luckily, I am trapped inside my home by a snowdrift, can’t get outside for a kickabout or any other form of exercise and am immune to “long covid” due to an excellent immune system. If I can persist with my new diet of eating burger and fries for every meal and sleeping in my smelly, lice infected bedclothes, I might just avoid this cardiac pandemic.
I decided not to take the jab on principle … it was immediately obvious last spring that the jab was not providing any benefit to those age groups taking it (excess deaths did not drop faster or earlier than other age groups)
I thought I’d be at a marginally increased risk … but it was worth making the point to stop younger people taking it when it was not going to do them any good. But now … I’m no hypochondriac, but if I had taken the jab, knowing what I know now, I would be extremely worried.
I decided against the warp speed vaccine as soon as they announced it on the basis that you would have to be a complete moron to allow a rushed medical product to be injected into your body.
Particularly given the hideous track record pharma has for injuring and killing people with products they often lie about in order to gain approval.
The icing on the cake was that the very makers of the product refused to release these dangerous products unless they would not be held liable for the harm they caused.
The cherry on the icing was that we knew the disease these injections were for was not very dangerous for the vast majority of the population before the injections were even made available.
There may be another parameter to factor in, how many people had heart related problems but were unable to see their own GP soon enough?
Recently, I had a week of palpitations before I contacted my GP (my choice as I wanted to rule out possible “lifestyle causes” such as caffeine intake), it was then a further 10 days before I could get an appointment for an ECG, which was normal.
You have a GP, what is that?
https://www.mdpi.com/1467-3045/44/3/73
Remember when it was ridiculous to think mRNA vaccines could alter your DNA?
Current research is showing that both the vax and Covid have clotting mechanisms…
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8621006/pdf/medicina-57-01163.pdf
https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10456-021-09805-6
So, we are going to see a lot more clotting events in the near future for people who experienced either of these issues. While a week ago, I was deeply disturbed by the first article, what I then realized is that all most people need to do is increase the amount of capsicum they ingest – as this is an anti-thrombotic and anti-platelet aggregation….
Now, eating hot peppers can cause other problems, and one should be wary of ingesting these while on blood thinners, but for the majority of the worlds population, this might be something that could be used to help ameliorate the heart event issues (to some degree).
Baffling. Where is Columbo when we need him?
In other words, please, please, please don’t label me as anti-vaxx and censor me!
Tiptoeing through a minefield of inconvenient truths.
It seems Zelensky and his puppetmasters may have believed the US would defend Kiev and they would get nuclear war. If that is so, then said puppetmasters may try something else towards the same goal. This could be any of many things. I wouldn’t be surprised if the trigger were to occur in the Baltic area (a Baltic state or Kaliningrad) or involving Belarus.
Meanwhile nobody in the western MSM is recognising that the Russian business presence in London and especially the City of London gives the Russian government some leverage. I haven’t seen this observation made in a single piece about actual and possible sanctions.
PS Regarding Zelensky: his fictional TV show “Servant of the People”, in which he played a schoolteacher who unexpectedly becomes President, continued to be broadcast during his all-too-real presidential election campaign, which was run by the same company as the show, in which he stood on a ticket called “Servant of the People”. The Ukraine is more f***ed up than Russia – a lot more. See also the Klitschko brothers and “Udar”, which means “punch”
Various doctors say families of loved ones hospitalized with covid19 are resorting to desperate measures when approved treatments(slow death protocols) have failed. When it’s not too late, some have seen tremendous success by sneaking Ivermectin medication prohibited by hospitals to patients. It is really sad situation what has our country become. Vaccine injuries.
Hey, remember how they told you the mRNA in the vaccines could NEVER wind up in human DNA?
https://alexberenson.substack.com/p/hey-remember-how-they-told-you-the
Are you claiming that developing a brand new medical treatment for a disease that they knew next to nothing about employing a new medical technique (gene therapy) that had always failed in the past has resulted in unforseen negative outcomes -get outta here!
Only kidding, they knew all along the harms that would result.
Perhaps the lag is due to the risk increasing more with more doses of the vaccine? May would correspond better to dose two being given. April, if you’ll recall, is when there was a “shortage” of the vaccine and fewer were given. Also it wasn’t immediately rolled out to younger and younger age groups. There seemed to be a few weeks of discussion on whether they were really going to grant us our freedom after fifteen million or force the whole population to take the jab…
this needs overlaying with number of doses given.
Well 15-19 year old males don’t die of covid – hardly ever anyway – and their all cause mortality rate has been running at 20% above 5yr average since June 2021. Remember what started in summer 2021 ??
It’s still running 20% over for the first six weeks of 2022, it’s tragic.
Given that virtually anyone who has died in the last 20 months has been badged as “covid” if at all possible, which obscures so much, personally I would assume that all age groups have suffered a serious uplift in mortality due to their gene therapy injections, it’s just harder to filter out the trends in the data.
Especially when Gov has signed heavyweight contracts committing them to defending and indemnifying big pharma.
