Trump Blames Diversity Hiring for Washington DC Air Crash

by Will Jones
30 January 2025 5:57 PM

President Donald Trump has blamed woke DEI recruiting practices for the Washington DC air crash, one of the deadliest in US history. The Mail has more.

The Commander-in-Chief said the collision between a passenger plane and a military helicopter in Washington DC, that took 67 lives, was a “tragedy of terrible proportions”.

He added that those flying the Black Hawk helicopter should have “seen where they were going”.

Speaking at the White House, Trump said the tragedy was entirely preventable as he slammed Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) recruiting practices in federal agencies.

He added that he had some “pretty good ideas” of how the disaster occurred and vowed to make sure it would never happen again.

Trump then said he put “safety” first while Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden prioritised politics and called former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg a “disaster” in an extraordinary attack on previous administrations.

“He was a disaster as a Mayor. He ran his city into the ground and he’s a disaster now. He’s just got a good line of bulls***’,” Trump said of Buttigieg.

Trump added: “The initiative is part of the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) diversity and inclusion hiring plan. Think of that.”

Then he insisted that federal agencies need to be hiring based on intelligence rather than on diversity. He added that Air Traffic Controllers need to be “geniuses”.

As a reference, he pointed to a report from within the FAA that the workforce was “too white”.

On Wednesday night, American Eagle flight 5342 collided with an Army Black Hawk helicopter on a training flight as it approached the runway at Ronald Reagan National Airport.

There were 60 passengers and four crew aboard the PSA flight out of Wichita, and three members of the military aboard the Black Hawk.

All are believe to have perished after the search and rescue transitioned to a recovery phase.

Divers have been in the frigid waters of the Potomac River overnight tyring to find  bodies as investigators tried to piece together what led to the deadliest US air crash since 2019.

This is a puzzling accident considering this is a known congested area and the helicopter pilot in command should have complete situational awareness of everything going on around. He/she were passing the active end of the landing runway at Ronald Reagan Airport and should know the expected direction of traffic and how high. The river is a regular and therefore familiar route for military helicopters and there are a lot useful features to mark where you are. Even distraction seems odd.

Not only ‘passing the active end of the landing runway’, but crucially at an altitude coincident with the glide path of the approaching jet. Air Traffic surely should’ve insisted on height separation. Going’ visual isn’t an option unless positive sighting of the other craft is confirmed. My understanding is, it wasn’t. Tragic!

It’s still up to the pilot to make that separation and is ultimately responsible.

I saw elsewhere an aviation expert say that the tracking system on the helicopter wasn’t switched on, so air traffic control couldn’t locate it. It also changed course six times before impact with the plane. It’s curious because I’d have thought a plane that is much larger than a helicopter with it’s lights on would be easy for a helicopter pilot to see and they can react much quicker than a plane can in order to avoid a collision.

Air traffic were speaking to him/her so they knew they were there. They asked if the helicopter pilot could see the airliner.

“the airliner” may be a clue, as there was another one present in the video.

The problem is it was a regional jet, so smaller than a standard 737 and the helicopter was approaching from the side. As you may well know the cabin lights are dimmed on landing at most airfields, and there was a lot of background light from the surrounding buildings. There may also have been another aircraft in the area which was taking off in the opposite direction to the accident aircraft so a bit higher.

The Youtuber I follow the very good Juan Browne of blancolirio channel has shown data that suggests the helicopters route through the area should have been flown at a maximum of 200 feet. The radar showed it at 350 feet, the same as the airline coming in to land.

What happens when you introduce a large number of women into a workforce. You get predatory men who pick up very quickly on female naivete and then push the females a certain way. It isn’t the fault of women. Itis the fault of pretending that female naivete doesn’t exist. You can see attitudes towards immigration as being devleoped by exploiting female maternal instinct. The whole thing is a disaster. If you’r dealing with machines and things of a technical nature then there is obviously no room for bullshit. Corporate feminization is truly a marriage made in hell.

What’s interesting is that you immediately jump to the assumption that a female was somehow responsible or involved in this tragic incident, when no such details have been released. No doubt the entirety of the resident ‘Misogynist Society’ will have your back on this, too. In actual fact, ( because I deal with facts, not bias or prejudices ) these are the details from the FAA website which Trump read out;

”Trump quoted the FAA’s now-deleted diversity, equity and inclusion page in a press conference, stating the FAA had committed to hiring people with “severe” disabilities because they are the “most under-represented segment” of the workforce, including those with “missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis,” and “epilepsy,” though he did not provide evidence anyone involved in the crash was disabled.
Though Trump blamed former President Joe Biden and former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, the FAA’s diversity website listed a commitment to hiring diverse and disabled candidates as early as 2013, according to the Internet Archive and throughout Trump’s first term, according to Internet Archive captures from 2017 and 2019.

Trump also suggested people with disabilities are being hired as air traffic controllers, though the FAA clarified to Fox News last year it employs people for a “wide range of positions, from administrative roles to oversight and execution of critical safety functions,” all of whom must meet “rigorous qualifications.”
The FAA has also operated a program to boost hiring of candidates with disabilities, which also existed during Trump’s first term, according to FAA annual reports, and a 2023 report states the “participants must meet the same qualifications as any other applicants.”

You are welcome to criticise the post Mogwai, but please don’t insinuate that all male posters are misogynists. We are not and it is insulting to say it.

What i find interesting ( again! ) is that you keep on following me around this site, accusing me of something I haven’t even done, all because you’re demonstrably triggered by the word “misogynist”. A tad over-sensitive, aren’t we? Now, I wonder why that could be…. 🤔

For the umpteenth time now, where am I insinuating “all male posters” are misogynists? 👀 🤷‍♀️
Oh, hang on, silly me….I forgot. Rule number 1 of the DS ‘Boys Club’: Sexism is acceptable, just so long as it’s the ‘right’ kind of sexism. A bit like ‘free speech’, then, evidently. Because a woman exercising her right to free speech ( on a site that advocates for free speech ) really sticks in your craw, doesn’t it? 😏

May I suggest you stop with the stalking and the attempts to censor me based on your deliberate misconstruing of my posts, because I will never stop posting what I like, ever. Then it gets to the point where you make yourself look very creepy indeed, don’t you think?

There are men on here that hate women. Fact. Your unnatural behaviour towards me, the history of your comments and evident lack of self-awareness when posting on this specific topic shows me exactly what you are.

Which women on here ”appear to hate men”? Because I’ve never seen one post of a woman denigrating or hating on men, blaming you all for the destruction of society and the downfall of the universe…or stating that you make shit leaders and shouldn’t be allowed to enter certain professions, let alone have the right to vote.
Male posters, on the other hand…..Don’t worry, I know that another rule of the ‘Boys’ Club’ is to close ranks at all times, so ‘selective memory’, willful blindness and ”deny, deny, deny” it is, right?

I’m not saying it was caused by a diversity hire, but, to be honest with you, it wouldn’t surprise me.
There is no way “affirmative action” policies would not have resulted in incompetent people being hired.

Ask Boeing how things have gone for them since they put DEI at the top of their hiring.

I saw the Trump speech on GBN earlier on. It was extraordinary, and was criticised by some local observers that were interviewed later on. As one of them said, it amounted to politicising the affair, and well before a proper Inquiry.

Two things, firstly I read that the control tower had “abnormal” staffing at the time of the crash. Secondly the helicopter pilots did not state “traffic in sight” when they were directed to”pass behind” the landing aircraft. That aircraft was descending, so approaching from above.

Spotting an aircraft visually at night against a city background is difficult, the direction they needed to look to see the CRJ was around 90 degrees to their left side. Could easily be cockpit structure in the way.

Collisions require constant relative bearing, meaning that there is no resultant motion of the other aircraft until it’s too late to avoid each other.

DEI may be implicated directly (via the personnel involved) but in this case it may be an indirect aspect, via a rejection of job applicants with the wrong race, leading to staff shortages. This is happening with RAF pilots.

It has been suggested that the air traffic controller was covering both helicopters and airliners, normally done by 2 people.

He did not actually say DEI hiring caused the crash, but he certainly tore into that nonsense and rightly so. He said that they would need to wait for the investigation to occur but said that people should be recruited on ability and talent rather than box ticking Diversity, especially in jobs where safety is paramount, like Air Traffic Control or Fire Services etc.

He could still be wrong. We await the evidence….

”REPORTER: How did you come to the conclusion that DEI had something to do with this crash?

TRUMP: “Because I have common sense.”

Mic drop.”

Ok …So do we in this country want the usual “Our hearts go out to the families and friends of the victims” handwringing every time? —-Trump will make some Politically Incorrect gaffes, but at least he does things rather than wait for instructions from the technocrats at the UN and WWF like our Politicians do.

For ATC you need the best of the best, based on merit!

Its a very difficult and stressful job, requiring the ability to concentrate for long periods of time under extreme pressure.

I would be no good at it, I get bored and distracted too easily, so should never work in ATC.

I would probably be able to meet the technical and academic requirements, but the job requires faculties beyond those.

I personally know someone who is now retired from ATC, he loved the job, but says no amount of money would ever entice him back, now he has that stress out of his life, he never wants it back.

Trump is wrong to say it’s about intelligence, that’s only a part of it, the job requires a very specific mindset.

My job is highly technical, but if I mess up, there’s no risk people might die.

As I posted elsewhere, it’s just speculation right now, but this is circulating on Twitter. But I don’t even know if this person was flying that day. Could be coincidence. Or did the fault lie with air traffic control?

”If the X rumors are to be believed one of the pilots on the helicopter was a man who pretended he was a female Jo Ellis

He had been complaining about Trumps transgender ban.!!”

Trump will get more right than wrong though. Whereas this labour Government gets almost everything WRONG. —-On his first day he was saying there is only BOY and GIRL. He withdrew from the phony planet saving Paris Agreement and he started deporting migrants. —-Whereas our squirming politicians cannot decide what a boy or girl is, keep squandering our money on the fake climate agenda and harping on about “smashing the gangs”.

DEI hiring means you are deliberately not recruiting the best people for the job.

In any sector where safety is paramount and lives are at risk, it is obviously a risky policy.

Both planes have sophisticated collision avoidance systems that should have been screaming with a high and loud alarm? The radar systems in the traffic control tower should have been alarming as well. There are many systems that must have failed for this accident to happen. Simplifying this accident to DEI is just politicization of a terrible accident where multiple system failures must have occurred.

Probably not the Blackhawk. Do you know why? It is a military helicopter. Annoying cr*p is not required!
