A New Labour MP is Also a Director of Hope Not Hate, an Organisation That Regularly Campaigns Against Conservative Election Candidates and is Part-Funded by the Taxpayer

by Charlotte Gill
17 September 2024 7:00 AM

Did you know that a new Labour MP is also a director of Hope Not Hate?

While most of the media has been obsessing over Nigel Farage’s GB News salary, less was said about the other items on MPs’ register of interests.

Moral probity is dead in the Tory party too.
The Tories never ever roll back the government monies, lottery funding these organisations receive which helps sustain their activism.
The Tories have never attempted to roll back the socialist big government agenda which sustains these organisations.
The Tories chose to look the other way as wokery permeated every nook and cranny of every government sector again sustaining the agenda of HNA and other progressive organisations.
The Tories have never attempted to remove the tax exempt status of politically active charities.
The Tories lost their way 30 years ago – leave them in the gutter where they belong.

If these people applied the tenacity that they use to hide their activities to commerce and economic grow, the world would be better place.

That explains why HNH, which pushed for new contempt of court proceedings for Tommy Robinson, will not itself be charged with contempt for publishing opinions on guilt during legal proceedings.

There is a recent penchant for using oxymoronic names for insidious organisations. I can’t believe how many people fall for it.

In reality this organisation should really be called:

Hate not Hope.

A vapid but meaningless name – might as well call themselves Nice Not Nasty (not that they are). What do they actually hope for, have they ever been asked? One might hope for an end to mass immigration, and not hate, for instance, Donald Trump – would that pass the HNH test of “acceptability”?

It’s not really meaningless. The hope bit is supposed to refer to all those ‘refugees’ who have supposedly nothing to hope for save immigrating into some Western country and hate is what supposedly motivates everyone who’s opposed to unlimited (illegal) immigration from all over the globe.

Farage & Reform should stop surrendering to the left for being conservative.

The Reform spokesman for Stourbridge has been suspended for apologising to Tommy Robinson for calling him a racist.

The Left NEVER surrender for anything. They’ve just play the long game and and until every institution is Marxist.

Meanwhile Farage prattles on about killing off the BNP, as if anyone cares.

The sad thing is that Nigel Farage’s politically motivated action doesn’t simply risk TR becoming less popular, but materially increases the likelihood that he will be banged up in jail. It’s that kind of indifference to causing unnecessary human suffering that needs to be purged from our political class.

But careful what you wish for Mr Farage trying to portray yourself as respectable while you trash an ally. When Farage was De-Banked, Tommy had that done years before. Maybe Farage thinks they won’t come for him, careful what you wish for when you push the ladder away from a fellow patriot.

  1. Oh dear someone who hasn’t worked in Industry or a business, but has been on the gravy train of anti industry for her career it would seem, and is now employed as an MP to promote what exactly? not the economic regeneration of the country.
  2. Why is the Government using tax payers money to fund any charities? If Charities have to rely on Governments for their existence, or for a large part of it, they are essentially extensions of the Government or the civil service.
  3. Hope not Hate another Oxymoron of a name, designed to be the exact opposite of what it actually is, here are a few others. The Liberal Democrats, neither Liberal or Democratic, Labour, Labouring at what exactly certainly not earned wages or renumeration, The Democratic Party- Ha, I could go on, but we all get the picture, well those of us who fund all these saps and can do nothing about it.

Absolutely. All taxpayer support of charities should be ended forthwith.

It is an abomination.

I agree, but unlikely to happen – it’s a very effective way of getting support for positions governments want to influence and drive, while looking like ‘nice’ people

Agreed.
And I would add that 75% of “charities” should be closed down.
Did you check out how many of the ‘medical’ charities receive huge bungs from BigPharma?
How many of those at the top of our Beloved “charities’, really want a ‘cure’ to be found, thus ending their comfortable and remunative sinecure?
Are RNLI really bothered about ‘those in peril on the seas’, rather than those who have paid good money to invade our country?

I do not believe it is possible to find “identified 10 top target MPs from the Radical Right of the Conservative Party” in the entire country still less “standing in marginal constituencies where we have a real opportunity to get them out”.

It would be instructive to analyse the past employment record of all Labour MPs, Tory as well. I wager they have most never had a job where responsibility and risk were involved and the bulk were funded by the tax payers.

The Treacherous Tories could have stopped taxpayer funding for this vile organisation.

They didn’t. Perhaps some of them will have now learned their lesson, but I doubt it.

Why do any “charities” receive taxpayer money? It means they cannot be charities. Outrageous.

Seems like a dreadful person. I have to point out though that one can’t indulge in “Flying and travel by car”. Not yet anyway. One can have a go, though, at “Flying, and travel by car”. Sorry, my daily pedantry fix. Shutting up now.

How exactly can this sorry excuse for a “charity” get away with this, surely a conflict of interests?, or doesn’t that matter if you are a leftie?

There is some interesting stuff about HNH on borderland.co.uk. An article about them and their operation is here: https://borderland.co.uk/the-eu-referendum-after-hope-not-hate-s-more-in-common-campaign-3/

The conclusion of the article is that “Fundamentally, HNH/#MIC is a money-making scam for those involved, and a diversion from genuinely autonomous street-oriented class politics. Which is no surprise as that is what it has always been from the start.“
