Over the last week we have seen two new examples of major institutions and employers in the U.K. losing cases of discrimination. Yet, we are told by the institutions in question that they have a zero tolerance approach to any discrimination and anyone who discriminates will feel the full force of their disciplinary process. So why does this keep happening?
Let’s look at the case of Thames Valley Police (TVP) who were, this week, found to have racially discriminated against three white officers.

The problem with the equity picture above is that that’s now how it works in practice. In practice, it’s assumed that there’s a homogenous group of “privileged white people” and an equally homogenous group of “oppressed brown people” and hence, no members of the first group deserve any support but all members of the second do. Neither individual circumstance nor cross-cutting concerns affecting members of both groups are taken into account. Eg, it’s equitibly impossible to have a policy to support people from so-called disadvantaged backgrounds (“poor people”) because some of them will be white and as such, by definition, not to be supported.
If I put my HR Pro hat on for a minute Equality Diversity and Inclusion policies and training are frankly bad enough and even when done ‘well’ are controversial – the brand of EDI IMHO is wrecked and should be dropped – however, it’s a whole different level of lunacy if a UK Employer, who is governed by the Equality Act swaps out ‘Equality’ for’Equity’ – and this is what has happened here – their current Race discrimination policy specifically highlights the dangers of crossing into Positive Discrimination which is unlawful – yet the TRAINING behind this policy does exactly that.
Of course there is the spectre of Groupthink here – and this was no doubt turbocharged by the culture of self censorship that infests our society (understandably) and is used to enforce orthodoxy. so what happens when orthodoxy comes up crump against the law – against reality? I would have paid £1000 to see the expression on the face of those responsible for losing this ET at TVP – the shock as reality crashes in – as they realise that they have been condemned in public, for the very thing that they sought out to banish..

So who are the ‘social engineers’ and behind the scenes all-powerful architects of all of this DEI woke nonsense? As ever, I’ll apportion blame where it’s rightfully due, and here’s a major culprit right here. But there’s something amiss and not quite tallying here….Larry Fink isn’t a feminist.

cock up always trumps conspiracy. I know how the DEI training was developed at TVP and it is a cautionary tail of p1sspoor governance – the training contradicts the policy behind it. The policy specifically warns managers and employees of the dangers of breaching the Equality Act but they did this anyway – the DEI training was essentially ‘lifted’ from the TED talk of a high profile American DEI Celeb – it is Critical Race Theory and is indicative of the culture of performative gesture that is found in all major organisations- design of such is inevitably given to fairly junior members of staff and those responsible for overseeing it are either not interested in it or are fully ‘bought in’ to the training.
There’s no ‘fat controller’ at TVP – what there is is the tyranny of an orthodoxy where any criticism any warning that a colossal error is about to happen doesn’t happen because those involved where either silenced or self censored out of fear.

And how is it that senior police officers (and doctors, and politicians, and judges, etc) are so compliant that one course in a counter-intuitive sociological theory converts them to illegal zealotry?

mostly cowardice and I don’t condemn them too harshly for this but they have to understand the consequences of creating a society where everyone hides behind a mask.
Can I just point out that in the oft-quoted ‘equity, equality, systemic fixing’ graphic in the article, that none of them have paid to enter and watch the event. If you have paid, then you could be correct in thinking that the three figures have in fact stolen their ‘view of the game’, and have contributed nothing. This explains socialism, where those who can pay are made to pay often through excessive taxation, and those who can’t are simply given the experience, by people who didn’t own it in the first place.

To draw a parallel with HMG’s current attitude to social media, rejecting equity may be legal, but it’s harmful. The “rule of law” concept is as white supremacist as “free speech.” Our police reject laws that clearly work against designated minorities. It is revolutionary justice.

I don’t cling to whiteness or have an Aryan fetish but I know that white men are perhaps the most capable generalists and that in terms of genius or the creative potential that might find a way out of this situation, white men are the best for this. Having to fight your way through an ice age imparts certain proclivities.

Manyears ago I used to attend meetings where civil servants representing a devolved government were in attendance.They would agenda an up to date list of those not to be discriminated against. They were dumbfounded when I questioned why I wasn’t included. Nor could they explain why the English were not considered an ethnic minority!
