Judge Who Didn’t Jail ‘Paraglider’ Protesters Accused of Violating Code of Conduct

by Richard Eldred
3 March 2024 3:00 PM

The Judge embroiled in controversy for his lenient handling of three women who praised the Hamas “paraglider” attacks, is alleged to have breached the judiciary’s code of conduct by discussing the imprisonment of a police officer. The Mail has more.

Judge Tanweer Ikram found the three women, all in their mid-twenties, guilty at Westminster Magistrates Court of inviting support for a proscribed organisation, a charge that can carry up to 14 years behind bars, but did not impose a jail term or community order, saying their lesson had been “well-learned”.

Ikram has now been accused of violating the judiciary’s code of conduct by talking about jailing a police officer.

The deputy senior judge told students during a presentation last year that he had “horrified” the police by jailing an officer who had sent out racist WhatsApp messages, the Telegraph reported.

But the Court and Tribunals Judiciary code of conduct bars judges from talking about “cases they or colleagues hear”, and they are told not to “comment on matters of controversy”.

Ikram reportedly told students at the College of DuPage, in Illinois, “I sent somebody to prison recently.

“It was a police officer. He was on a WhatsApp group and was sending messages to all his fellow police officers, which were disgustingly racist. And he said it was a private group.”

His comments are understood to have been in reference to the case of James Watts, a former cop who was jailed in 2022 for sending grossly offensive messages. …

Ikram faced criticism after he liked a video which branded Israel a “terrorist” state and called for a free Palestine.

Worth reading in full.

The true disgrace of course is that people can be jailed for making “racist” comments. I’m not so sure it should be easy to sack people for making “racist” comments either, as “racism” is in the eye of the beholder.

Exactly! And this b*stard didn’t just send one police officer to jail, but SIX retired police officers who sent private messages amongst themselves. Their convictions should be immediately overturned:

Michael Chadwell, 62, was sentenced to 10 weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months and 100 hours of unpaid work.

Peter Booth, 66, was sentenced to eight weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months and 140 hours unpaid work.

Robert Lewis, 62, was sentenced to 14 weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months and 200 hours of unpaid work.

Anthony Elsom, 67, was sentenced to eight weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months and 140 hours of unpaid work.

Alan Hall, 65, was also sentenced to eight weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months and 40 hours of unpaid work.

Trevor Lewton, 65, was sentenced to six weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months and 65 hours of unpaid work.

And you can bet their “unpaid work” is being supervised by the “Global Majority Heritage” mob and their Marxist Common Purpose Enablers. Just like Tommy Robinson was nearly starved to death in prison because they let Muslim prisoners prepare and contaminate all his meals.

Nothing wrong with images of paragliders.
Norman Finkelstein reminds us of what Israeli apartheid means:
Israel is not ‘at war’ with a foreign entity, let alone a foreign state. Gaza is an integral part of Israel.
‘There is one regime governing the entire area from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea,’ Israel’s leading human rights organization, B’Tselem, observed some years back, ‘based on a single organizing principle’ of ‘Jewish supremacy.’
What happened on October 7th was a slave revolt inside Israel (technically occupied Palestine).
With slave revolts comes violence against their captors.

Norman Finkelstein doesn’t ‘remind me’ of anything useful. His consistency betrays an ideological mind with an axe to grind.

There is no genocide of Palestinians happening. Just repeating that assertion over and over doesn’t make it true. The only ones I’ve heard saying they intend to wipe out another race has always been Hamas and Hezbollah. Usually those with genocidal intent tell everyone and I don’t hear Israelis wishing to wipe out the Palestinians.

There has been many Israeli politicians stating genocidal intent.
If you just rely on the msm for your information you won’t hear it.

Israel is nuclear, if they planned genocide why lose so many in close quarters combat? A couple of theater nukes would solve the problem, but they don’t!
Hand on heart, if hamas had nukes, would they take the same restrictional policy?

Hamas knew what they were doing on Oct 7th and it was intended to get an overwhelming response from the IDF. Up until Oct 7th I had sympathies for the Palestinians but the various videos of the barbarism of Hamas along with the celebrations in Gaza as well as the depravity of Palestinians civilians beating dead and injured Israelis as they were paraded through the streets has opened my eyes fully. Hamas make such a cynical play of the dead women and children when they have used schools, hospitals or houses as places to launch attacks or seek cover shows that they care little for anyone’s life, including Palestinians. I believe they want a large Palestinian body count because it will help undermine Israel and the West. There have been no demonstrations against the 600,000 Syrians slaughtered by Assad with Russia’s assistance, or those being slaughtered in Yemen, or the Uyghurs in China.

Sorry, I do not believe that Hamas were suicidal nor that they expected the overwhelmingly indiscriminate response from the IDF resulting in so much destruction, including the deaths of many hostages. There is no point in taking hostages if you are going to commit suicide. I presume they wanted the hostages to bargain for better conditions or the release of their colleagues. But I have no special knowledge of the matter apart from what I read from sources I believe to be credible.

I do not condone any violence whatsoever but I understand how immensely frustrating it must be to be a prisoner in your own country.

You refer to Assad slaughtering 600,000 Syrians, which I am afraid I cannot believe either. Assad is an extremely popular President who stood his ground and held Syria together at a time when USA under Obama was sweeping through one oil producing country after the other. He would certainly not be popular if he were responsible for the eradication of so many Syrians. And the USA is still in the north-east of Syria, stealing their oil.

And Yemen was hardly ever in the news, until recently because of their attempt to halt the slaughter in Gaza, but certainly suffered from the Saudi Arabia attacks which have only just ceased. Of course, as the prime oil producing country for the western world, one cannot expect the Saudis to be criticized by anyone in the west.

But the above are just my impressions and I am academically totally unqualified to make any comments on the matters at all! But the Israeli conflict with Palestinians has been flaming up for decades now and it really is time a settlement is found, but that will clearly not happen without massive changes of some sort.

The usual brainwashed/Spielberged by the Israeli backed MSM are out in force today.
Perhaps to divert attention away from the murder of 100 plus starving Palestinians by the heroic IDF a few days ago.

Still, pales in comparison to the 30,000 murdered by the IDF so far.
Not forgetting the 70,000 injured and 1.5 million whose homes have been bombed out of existence. And continuing with the blessing of the USA.

I find it extraordinary how so many supposed sceptics on here are so easily blinded.

Interesting thought. I think enough people have given you chapter and verse of why they think the Israeli action is justified. We may be right, we may be wrong, but the points made to you cannot be boiled down to Brown folk = bad, Whitey = good. Trying to put an alternative point of view down to bigotry is an act of cowardice and laziness on your part. Either discuss it with an open mind, or shut up.

This Ikram bloke should be dismissed. He is on record discussing his sending a policeman to prison for whatsapp messages which he deemed were racist. Unbelievable doesn’t cover it. He has broken the Judicial code and while I believe the judiciary has largely been bought this crook is rubbing our noses in his malfeasance.

He’s a third world import and needs sending back whence he came. He is a ruddy pimple on a bloated arsehole of a festering establishment.

The worst outrage is that it’s almost impossible to sack a judge.

Question: Can judges be sacked?

Answer: “Yes. The most senior judges – the Heads of Division, Law Lords, Lords Justices of Appeal and High Court judges – can be removed by The Monarch at the request of Parliament, ALTHOUGH THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED.” […never happened in the whole history of the UK!!???]

Other judicial office-holders can be removed by the Lord Chief Justice for incapacity (for example, illness) or Judges must excuse themselves from judging cases involving family, friends, or in which they may have a financial interest.

THIS IS VERY RARE, and in the case of a full-time judge, HAS HAPPENED JUST ONCE, in 1983, when a circuit judge was removed from office after pleading guilty to several charges of smuggling.”
