The Jewish civil liberties organisation Jews for Justice is holding its first open public debate (in Islington) on the evening of Monday 12th June. A chance to discuss issues that have previously been covered in articles in the Daily Sceptic: the weaponisation of allegations of antisemitism; whether it is ever acceptable to make comparisons with Nazi Germany; also whether there should be limits to free speech in connection with the Holocaust. Anyone interested in attending please email Jews for Justice here.

Andrew Barr is the founder of Jews for Justice, which campaigns for free speech and civil liberties from a Jewish perspective.
To join in with the discussion please make a donation to The Daily Sceptic.
Profanity and abuse will be removed and may lead to a permanent ban.
“Whether it is ever acceptable to make comparisons with Nazi Germany; ”
Oh no, we should forget all about Nazi Germany, after all what could we possibly learn from history?
I might add that I have previously on these pages defended at length the existence of the state of Israel; that us Darwin sceptics never had any truck with any forms of racism (such as anti-semitism); that those who saved the lives of Jews during the time of a central European empire of the 1930s and 1940s (led by a certain Austrian corporal) are heroes (and I think of eg Schindler’s List, The Scarlet And The Black); that the claims of anti-semitism against Andrew Bridgen MP were ludicrous attempts by people with an axe to grind to smear one of the few honourable gentlemen in parliament; and that I am obviously a lockdown sceptic, and a relative with Jewish friends is also a lockdown sceptic. And perhaps it should also be stated that attempts to denigrate the English working class (“chav scum” etc.) may also smack of racism to some.
Attempts at large scale murder were carried out before 1933-45 and will no doubt be carried out in the future (or for that matter the present) and should absolutely be called out, including the use of appropriate comparisons. History may not repeat but it does rhyme.
