News Round-Up

by Ian Macleod
28 April 2023 12:13 AM

  • “Jacinda Ardern to join Harvard University as dual fellow” – Apparently without irony, New Zealand’s former lockdown-friendly PM – who once proclaimed her Government to be the “single source of truth” for Kiwis regarding Covid – has been invited to Boston to study “ways to improve standards and accountability to combat extremist content posted online”, according to the BBC.
  • “Shawshank Redemption star rips lack of freedom of assembly and speech that Covid mandates brought” – Actor Tim Robbins held nothing back in a searing takedown of Government leaders who promoted COVID-19 lockdown policies in a recent interview, according to Fox News.
  • “Mathematical models – why we can’t trust them” – “Models are useful if we know them for what they are. I fear too many politicians and journalists let them pass too uncritically,” says Dr. David Whitehouse in TCW.
  • “Slowest ever start to Covid vaccine drive – Is Britain bored of boosters?” – Just one million doses were dished out in the first three weeks of the NHS spring booster campaign, which is inviting five million care home residents and over-75s for a top-up jab, reports MailOnline.
  • “How a wave of lockdown depression is driving Britain’s £40 billion sickness timebomb” – Britons’ mental health was in decline even before the pandemic. Then came Covid, with its lockdowns and social isolation. The number of people struggling exploded, reports the Telegraph.
  • “Criticising China’s Covid lockdowns is ‘microaggression’, university tells staff” – University of Surrey facing revolt from lecturers who say it is policing conformity and “morally evaluating academics”, according to the Telegraph.
  • “The Washington Post whitewashes the Covid response” – In Brownstone, Bill Rice picks apart the Washington Post Editorial Board’s take on a review of America’s Covid response conducted by a team of “seasoned experts”.
  • “Exploding the myth that Covid jabs protect against death in two charts” – The public health industry relies on bad maths and worse data collection to argue the Covid shots work, says Alex Berenson.
  • “Why won’t someone stop them?” – Just Stop Oil zealots block an ambulance as they stage road stunts bringing London traffic to a halt, according to MailOnline.
  • “Net Zero has exposed the shocking neglect of rural Britain” – From rocketing petrol prices to imposed heat pumps, the impending nightmare the neediest rural communities face is clear, says Sally Jones in the Telegraph.
  • “Braverman to make it easier for police to arrest Just Stop Oil protesters” – Home Secretary to introduce new definition of “serious disruption” aiming to lower threshold at which officers can take action, reports the Telegraph.
  • “My blue tick humiliation” – In Toby’s latest Spectator column, he describes his horror when, shortly after he bought a Twitter blue tick, it ceased to be a status symbol and became the hallmark of a loser.
  • “Tory MP ‘uncancelled’ by Reading University students” – A decision by students at Reading University to deplatform James Sunderland for his views on immigration has been reversed, according to the Telegraph.
  • “Brexit has been vindicated and our dismal elites can’t bear to accept it” – A buck-passing establishment would rather blame Brexit for our many woes than accept its own responsibility, according to Allister Heath in the Telegraph.
  • “Sadiq Khan urged to ‘stick to day job’ after he makes another Brexit intervention” – The London Mayor is pressing Government to ease post-Brexit visa rules which he warns are putting off young Europeans from visiting the capital for work, education and tourism, reports the Express.
  • “It’s obvious to me that this is bad for us” – “Carlson was a major conduit via which unapproved views made it to mainstream television audiences,” says Eugyppius, in response to Tucker Carlson’s abrupt departure from the Fox News.
  • “A ‘trans genocide’ would be horrific if it were true” – But thankfully, it’s not. Trans people are not under threat. In fact, they are no more at risk of being killed than non-trans people, says John Mac Ghlionn in Spiked.
  • “Fears over ‘woke’ code of conduct” – Lawyers say requiring managers to snitch over rule breaches is a step too far, reports the Times.
  • “The growing consumer revolt against woke ideology” – The public is finally fighting back. Jeffrey A. Tucker reckons the Bud Light boycott signifies a larger social shift in the Epoch Times.
  • “The once-great Edinburgh University is damaging itself with its ridiculous stance on trans ideology” – “With a heavy heart, I suspect the only way to make the authorities act is a damaging boycott by female students,” writes Judith Woods in the Telegraph.
  • “The iron law of the universe: True things prevail” – Tucker Carlson speaks for the first time since his departure from Fox News. His short piece to camera has gone viral on Twitter, with more than 65 million views and counting.

It turns out Tucker Carlson hasn’t been sacked. From the audience standpoint it’s worse than that. He has been removed from all Fox News shows, but is still employed by them. This is a deliberate move by Fox News and Murdoch. They are currently negotiating his exit terms, but while this process proceeds, he is legally bound and cannot do other shows. The question then arises, is this tactic being employed for reasons other than negotiating his exit terms? Perhaps they want to try to limit his capacity to work with competitors, but more likely his value to himself as an independent is probably even greater. The further possibility is that there is an agenda bigger than where a news and opinion anchor is working. If that anchor is having an outsized affect disrupting the agenda of his wealthy employers and the wealthy shareholders of his employers business in other ways, perhaps that is a factor.

Hopefully Carlson will have the strength to understand taking a short term hit to exit contract sooner rather than later, with less money, but importantly, agreeing to fewer restrictions, will be far better for him and his audience long term.

This is interesting because it illustrates further the link between transgenderism, autism and psychiatric conditions. It would appear that people should be having psychological assessment and the help necessary if they are diagnosed with autism as opposed to being captured by the medical – industrial complex to undergo hormone therapy and surgery, with many joining the ever-growing ranks of the trans extremist cult.

”Like infectious disease pandemics, chronic illnesses can rise up and become dominant in clinical practice and in the media. No one would deny that the news cycle has adeptly replaced COVID-19 stories with the rise of transgenderism. Is there a real epidemic of gender dysphoria? What could be causing it?
Warrier et al, published a detailed analysis using multiple psychological instruments among a large sample size (N=641,860) with gender dysphoria treated with transgender hormonal/surgical therapy. The results are striking. Compared to normal reference groups, transgender individuals had up to a 12-fold increased risk of autism.

The authors summarized: “In conclusion, our study demonstrates that transgender and gender-diverse individuals have elevated rates of autism diagnosis, related neurodevelopmental and psychiatric conditions, and autistic traits compared to cisgender (normal) individuals. This study has clinical implications by highlighting that we need to improve access to care and tailored support for this under-served population.”

Things aren’t moving quickly enough for the WEF crew apparently;

”The United Nations (UN) and the WEF appear frustrated by a lack of progress made towards their Great Reset‘ ideology, alongside Agenda 2030, the socialist, ideological successor to the failed “Millennium Development Goals”.
The WEF – led by German engineer Klaus Schwab, whose father once worked for the Nazi Party apparatus – has said previous efforts to implement their plans “suffered unforeseen setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic, major negative impacts of climate change, and the rising cost of food and fuel everywhere due to the conflict in Ukraine.”
Global leaders and representatives are, therefore, being summoned to “strategize” and expedite the progress of what the WEF refers to as “arguably the greatest-ever human endeavor undertaken to create peaceful, just, equal, and sustainable societies.”

According to Korporal Schwab his great reset has suffered a setback owing to amongst other things:

“major negative impacts of climate change.”

Care to elaborate Korporal because we are not aware of anything? We have a climate. Climate is a moveable feast as you should know at your age.

What a Next Tuesday.

Just had this reply from my MP regarding the Perseus report.

“Extensive independent research shows that COVID-19 vaccines are extremely successful at preventing deaths. They remain our best line of defence and the most effective way to enable us to live with the virus.

All vaccines must go through a rigorous testing and development process before authorisation to ensure that they meet the strict standards of safety, quality and effectiveness set by the independent medicines regulator, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). The independent Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) provides the latest clinical and scientific evidence on vaccine safety and efficacy.

Unfortunately, misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines has spread rapidly through social media and other platforms. It is crucial that we all rely on credible sources of information when it comes to vaccines. Misinformation causes harm and costs lives, and it does an incredible disservice to frontline workers who have been at the heart of the fight against coronavirus, working day and night to protect the NHS and save lives. I reject baseless claims, including those which suggest vaccines are harming and killing many people, and that the damage is being covered up.

Serious side effects are rare, given the hundreds of millions of doses administered across the UK. Infection from COVID-19 without vaccine protection remains more dangerous than getting the vaccine itself.

The MHRA operates the Yellow Card reporting scheme, which allows individuals and health professionals to report any suspected reactions or side effects, even if the reporter is not sure they were caused by the vaccine. The nature of yellow card reporting means that reported events are not always proven side effects; some events may have happened anyway, regardless of vaccination.

Where vaccine damage does tragically occur, it is right that individuals and their families can access payments via the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme (VDPS). The VDPS is intended to support individuals and their families who have suffered severe disablement or bereavement as a result of having a vaccine. COVID-19 was added to this scheme in December 2020 and compensation payments under the scheme began last year.

It is important to stress just how rare adverse reactions are. As with all vaccines and medicines, however, it is right that the safety of COVID-19 vaccines is continuously monitored.”

Can’t think of anything to say

You can bet your bottom dollar, or yuan, that he did not write this himself. I’ve read similar words and they pretty much all say the same old thing. It also seems they are only willing to say this once because if you question it, with:

  1. What extensive independent research?
  2. What rigorous testing and development process can be completed in just a few months?
  3. What are the strict standards of safety, quality and effectiveness set by the MHRA?
  4. What is the evidence of the JCVI?
  5. What ‘misinformation’ is spreading on social media?
  6. What are the baseless claims about vaccine damage?
  7. What proof has he got that infection from COVID-19 without vaccine protection remains more dangerous than getting the vaccine?
  8. What information has he got that yellow card reports of harms were something other than vaccination?
  9. How can £120,000 compensate someone for loss of a loved one?
  10. What evidence does he have that adverse reactions are rare?
  11. How does he feel that in the past, a vaccine or medicine would have been withdrawn had it been shown to cause as many cases of adverse reactions as the C-19 vaccine has?

He will simply ignore it. These MPs are way past their sell-by date and totally unfit for purpose. They do not serve the public or their country; they serve their party and the corporatocracy. They are traitors or just pig ignorant (with apologies for all 4 legged pigs!). Disgusted by all of them bar a few. We are coming for them, they better start preparing their legal defence now.

At this stage of the game, that has to be pure disingenuousness. Absolutely disgusting.

You could ask your MP how the MHRA can be considered independent when the organisation receives 86% of its funding from Big Pharma and June Raine boasts it becoming an ‘enabler’ for Big Pharma.

The Bees take on the Tucker video..LOL!

https://babylonbee.com/news/unemployed-guys-selfie-video-in-basement-crushes-fox-news-in-ratings

U.S. — The historic leader in primetime cable ratings Fox News was dominated last night by an unemployed man filming a selfie video in his partially-finished basement.
“This guy chatting for a few minutes in his underwear and a blazer just completely blew Fox News out of the water,” said Nielsen executive Roger Millican. “It was a ratings bloodbath.”
The unemployed man reportedly posted the basement selfie video on Twitter around 7 p.m., and by 7:02 p.m. had gained more viewers than the entire Fox News primetime lineup. “We got demolished,” said a Fox News producer, on condition of anonymity. “Our viewers abandoned us in droves to watch a video labeled ‘Good evening’, which was just this dude jawing in his basement. We’re in trouble.”
Panic quickly spread among the top brass at Fox News, as executive producers brainstormed how to win back viewers. “More gold coin ads? No, we already tried that. Think, Bob, think!” said Fox News VP Bob Randall. “Is it physically possible to add any more ‘Breaking News’ graphics? No? How about making the necklines lower on all the female anchors’ dresses? This is hard!!”
At publishing time, the unemployed man had reportedly crushed Fox News primetime ratings once again, this time with a video of himself silently making a ham sandwich.
