Watch me being interviewed by Tim Dieppe for Christian Concern about the arrest of an evangelical street preacher for ‘misgendering’ a transwoman, the willingness of West Yorkshire Police to enforce Islamic taboos and why the Church of England is so woke.

It’s not simple animosity towards religion because other religions get a free pass, so other than a deliberate attempt to destroy what’s left of Western Christian civilisation, what are the plausible explanations for this?
The same as a Cathedral being used to host a Ramadan breaking of the fast….
Out & out attempt to force a one world religion which isn’t opposed to satanism on the world by destroying the religion which does oppose it. The Christian Church is compromised by interlopers & false Christians.
True Christians of faith are the threat to this in the UK, Europe & USA which is why they are pursued & persecuted so relentlessly.
Some Catholics like myself are classified as ‘terrorists’ (if we belong to orthodox christian groups). Bergoglio was installed in a coup (sound familiar?). The CC preaches climate thingy, supported the Rona fascism and $cience, and is saturated with homosexuals and gaydom. It is being destroyed in the 3rd and last great schism, led within by the Jesuits and the St Gallen mafia. Gender fascism, open borders, BLM, anti-white racism – all part of the general Masonic plan to destroy Christianity.
Yes, I heard about a Christian group (who I know to be perfectly decent people) being put on the FBI watchlist.
Exactly. And that antichrist bishop is to blame!
The “liberal left” (who have now seized levers of power) despise English culture (which is culturally Christian – FD and all that). Therefore Christianity is seen as fair game. Also, they are scared of, er, certain other groups.
It has to be admitted that there are aspects (a very select few) of orthodox Christian doctrine that have become archaic, irrelevant to modern times, and in rare cases offensive. For example, the doctrine that “man shalt not lie with man” (or words to that effect) should no longer be taught or preached, as it reinforces the notion that it is sinful to be gay – a concept that in the past half-century we have come to realise is ridiculous. This is quite a toxic notion that renders gay people unable to escape their “cardinal sin” of homosexuality other than by living a lie.
Are we to teach to pupils of C of E schools the orthodox notion that the earth is 6000 years old and that the sun and moon are in the firmament?
Probably 90 per cent of Christian doctrine is completely harmless, and preachers being subject to the risk of arrest and legal penalties risks a dilution of the meaning of the religion, but I think it can peacefully co-exist with homosexuality and modern science.
The very idea behind any religion is that its bestowed unto man by some deity or set of deities of who set down the rules and laws of a religion by virtue of being deities and man, regarded as an inferior being relatively to them, is not to question them: The idea if pick-and-chose Christanity is thus identical to its effective abolishment. For your specific example, the bible is quite clear that homosexual sex acts are sins against Gods will. OTOH, there’s nothing which forces practicing homosexuals to claim they’d be Christians, hence, there’s no issue here, just a philosophical difference wrt sexual morals people are certainly entitled to have for as long as they live according to them themselves and don’t try to force them onto others.
You’ve also conveniently overlooked an elephant in the room: What you have been referring to is from the old testament, hence, it’s also part of Jewish faith (as far as I know) and absolutely certainly also part of islam. But for as long as its not Christians preaching The Wrong Things[tm], that’s presumably fine. Especially considering that muslims can become rather picky wrt to their religion.
“Homosexual” – a word made up by the psychobabblers.
Christianity teaches that any issue from man should be within marriage (see above) Christians (and for that matter atheists) simply believe that man should abstain from physical relationships they believe to be wrong. Temptation is not a sin, and people with “homosexual”, or indeed bestial temptations can still be good Christians as long as they strive for chastity. We should remember the example of the famous Christian convert Oscar Wilde (now I bet they don’t tell you that at “these schools”!).
“Homosexual” – a word made up by the psychobabblers.
It’s sufficiently precise to express what is meant. And that’s all which matters to me.
Marriage is a phenomenon common to most (if not all) human cultures, it’s not specifically Christian. Presumably, this stems from the fact that raising human children is a difficult and lengthy process. Christian is just the notion that marriage is only something the (catholic) church has sanctioned as such. That’s a pretty transparent device to exercise power over people. The same goes for equating chastity with virtue. This belief didn’t really take hold until some time in the middle ages.
Jesus himself was actually quite silent on homosexuality. The only parts of the Bible that appear to condemn it outright are in Leviticus (along with other “abominations” such as eating pork and shellfish, wearing blended garments, polyculture of crops, shaving ones sideburns, and working on the Sabbath), and a few largely out of context passages by Paul of Tarsus, a former Pharisee who never met the human Jesus, was quite misogynistic, and was probably in the closet himself. Natch. And interestingly, female homosexuality was never explicitly condemned, see Naomi and Ruth for example. And then there was David and Jonathan as well. Look it up. Funny how those who tout the Bible the most in regards to these kinds of wedge issues are rarely the people who have actually read it cover to cover.

Very true. In recent decades apposing homosexuality and abortion have come to define Christianity for many, which has obscured the essence of the Christian message: seemingly everyone knows about official church lines regarding both issues yet few, other than committed Christians, could tell you anything about the Christian understanding of the Incarnation, Original Sin, Foregivess of Sin, the Cruxification and Resurrection of Christ, the Holy Trinity, the Sacraments, Church calendar, Liturgies or indeed any of the theological debates that have surrounded them. Not that I have anything against those protesting against homosexuality and abortion per se, if done from a sincere conscience, yet I do object to how Christianity was been hijacked by both movements as it is now being hijacked by the Woke movement. One might also ask how many of today’s so-called Muslims calling for rigid enforcement of blasphemy laws really have any understanding of Islam or are, in fact, under-mining traditional Islamic belief by creating a caricature of it.
I did (read the bible from cover to cover) and I also mentioned that the alluded to passage is in the law parts of the old testament. Because of this, there’s no point repeating it elsewhere.
Funny story which belongs here: Yesterday, I again had the mispleasure some guy following me to the men’s toilet in order to grunt and moan a little (a little lot, actually) and try to ‘flirt’ (that’s a euphemism) with me there. He was even still somewhat capable of articulated speech and the look on his face, with the wide open nostrils and flashed teeth, had positively nothing human to it and not even something animals usually express. People can call that universal love until the cow comes home. But I’m not going to take their word for it.
Bonus: He was actually in this location together with his woman (presumably, sat next to one on a table and they seemed to be familar with each other).
The plural of “anecdote” is NOT “data”.
And the plural of mindless repetition of a phrase picked up on the internet is not talking sense. Besides, Mr So-and-so, we both know that stuff like this is regular occurrence.
BTW, the plural of sexual harrassment is also not romantic encounter.
“Gay” – as in the smutty euphemism? Is Germany’s decision to ban bestiality toxic, I wonder?
Truth doesn’t change, and most people will have strong feelings about physical relationships they disagree with (the aforementioned bestiality, incest, and others). We Christians believe, with good reason, that sleeping around is not a good thing, for families, communities and nations. The gold standard of not sleeping around is marriage, which is a lifelong union between one man and one woman with the intent of bringing new life into the world through procreation, and we make no apologies for holding this up as an ideal. And I will also suggest that it was in large part attacks on the family from alternative lifestyles and eugenics that enabled the lockdown shambles by creating a demoralised, amoral, fearful society.
As for science, we should teach what we know. Where we do not know eg neo-Darwinist theories that infer stuff from models(!), philosophy and tendentious interpretations of limited evidence), we should simply teach that there are several possible interpretations, and who subscribes to which and why.Logic, critical thinking and real history.
That is your opinion, and you are entitled to it. I do respectfully disagree though.
I believe that liberty is like love: the more you give, the more you get. Also see my earlier comment above.
“And I will also suggest that it was in large part attacks on the family from alternative lifestyles and eugenics that enabled the lockdown shambles by creating a demoralised, amoral, fearful society.”
That doesn’t explain why the Philippines and Peru had literally the very worst lockdowns in the world. They’re not exactly secular, alternative lifestyle, anti-family, or eugenics hotbeds by any stretch of the imagination.

Well-said David.
“there are aspects (a very select few) of orthodox Christian doctrine that have become archaic, irrelevant to modern times”
That’s specifically why I sought out in Eastern Orthodox Christianity. Because it is an ancient faith that doesn’t bend to the vagaries of modern times.
No one is insisting you go to church so do us a favour and keep your nose out of other people’s religious beliefs.
I’m a committed Christian and in scripture, Jesus Christ warns us clearly of this behaviour. The fact that Satan has coloninised Canterbury is symptomatic of the problem.
I watched the docu-interview of the preacher on YouTube and it is more than disturbing for our society – those policemen are agents of the trans terrorists and they willingly enforced the warped feeling of a cross dresser over a religious person. The man was in woman’s clothes but he and his friends are clearly male but they are militant and aggressive. The preacher stood his ground until the SS officers came to handcuff and bundled him into the police van. It reminds us of a certain era in Vienna, or Warsaw….have we come to this point by chance?
The most terrible part of this story is that the preacher was convicted of a hate crime! He was sentenced to 80 hours of community service. While the cross dressing thugs were welcome and protected by the idiots in uniform. Toby please please assist this poor man and appeal the conviction and sentence! We support you. Just donated!!!!
