Charity Commission Opens Investigation into Wakefield Mosque Following Complaint from Free Speech Union

by Toby Young
11 March 2023 11:00 AM

The Charity Commission has opened an investigation into the mosque at the centre of the row over a 14 year-old autistic schoolboy who brought a copy of the Quran into school. This follows a complaint the Free Speech Union sent to the Charity Commission on Thursday asking it to investigate the mosque which was the setting for what amounted to a show trial of the boy’s mother a couple of weeks ago. The Times has more:

A mosque involved in a row about a Quran damaged at a school is being investigated by the charities watchdog.

Four boys at Kettlethorpe High School in Wakefield were suspended last month after allegedly causing “slight damage” to the holy text and police recorded it as a “hate incident”.

The local mosque, Jamia Masjid Swafia, hosted a meeting of parents where the imam said Muslims would not tolerate disrespect. He added that anyone who resorted to threats “is not truly following the teaching of Islam”.

Suella Braverman, the home secretary, said the meeting “looked more like a sharia law trial, inappropriately held at a mosque instead of a neutral setting”. The mother of the boy who brought the Quran to school also addressed the meeting and said her son had received death threats.

The Free Speech Union has asked the Charity Commission for an inquiry, claiming the imam’s comments breached “good community relations”.

Feel free to say what you wish,.. as long as its not against our religion!
If that had been the bible, it wouldn’t even have made the news.

When was the last time a group of Christians threatened and intimidated a boy and his mother for “disrespecting” the Bible?

There will be an official whitewash, as only the self hating white officials in quangos can confect, a word salad strewn report will be issued full of vague implications that somebody did something. If it ever makes the MSM news cycle, which it probably won’t because ‘racism’ and or ‘Islamophobia’ it will disappear without trace after 24 hours. And the Opposition Spokesperson for Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, Multicultural and Minority Affairs will make a statement in the House of Commons along the lines that Toby Young, or the child’s mother should shut their mouths for the good of diversity. Then it will be memory holed and swept under the carpet. And the world will move on. Meanwhile the children and their families will have had their lives destroyed, will have to move house and schools under new identities, and will grow up hating Muslims for persecuting them and the Establishment for allowing them.

Well done Toby and for standing up for the street preacher in Leeds who was convicted of mis-gendering someone, yes convicted in a court.

Indeed. Taking on the Muzzies, the leftards fav fascist cult though the climate thingy and the tranny thingy are close in the race. I wonder if the Muzzies will do the usual and issue their death threats or ramp up the sex enslavement of white girls – all to wild applause from the usual group of half wits.

Well done Toby and the FSU.

The Charity Commission are caught now. There can only be one realistic outcome. If they fudge or support the muslims we all know where we stand.

Some serious questions need to be asked here:

Why did plod not rebuke the muslims and tell these people to back off and start behaving like British adults?

Why did plod not point out there is no crime of blasphemy in this country?

By whose authority did the muslims convene a quasi religious court?

Equally, where did they derive the authority to summon a frightened single mother and her doubtless terrified young son to face a frankly barbaric inquisition?

Why did plod not intervene to stop the inquisition?

What measures have been taken to ensure there are no repeats?

And answers to the above must be just the start. The muslims at the heart of this have clearly gone way too far in flexing their illegal muscles and if this is not curtailed forcefully and abruptly then matters will swiftly be out of control.

Whoops! I guess that’s the plan.

Apparently, it’s OK to drag out the heritics and non believer’s and burn them in public so long as your of a certain community, race or religion, but woe betide if your not!
And of cause the grooming gangs! Another huge blind eye being turned!

I would also have to ask why the woman attended this meeting. What obligation was she under? None. Sadly she has played their game and right into their hands.

I agree. A single woman frightened for her child and not even having the assistance of a police ‘force’ (joke) to call upon.

And probably trying to behave like an adult, perhaps even be a role model for her child, unlike the downvoter.

She attended to appease these 7th century loons and to try and dissuade them from literally chopping her son’s head off. Can’t blame her for this but it’s a real sad reflection of our country.

The simple answer is that the police only cares for stuff they’re getting paid to care for (like stopping and searching perfectly law abiding individuals who crossed on of they pay masters using idotic pretexts) and doesn’t care for stuff they’re getting paid to ignore. And I don’t mean the salary they also get from the general public. This may seem like a harsh conclusion but there must be a reason why our cities are full of drug addicts openly trading supposedly prohibited drugs and stolen goods and the reason cannot be that the police alone is too stupid to notice them. They’re not trying to hide.

To view it from the other end of the telescope: this was clearly not a grandmother’s footsteps encroachment by Sharia Islam, a telling but small indication of the direction of travel. The journey is achieved, the police are in the pocket, the council too presumably, it’s Wakie-Stan full throttle since grooming pe-do gangs were noted and waved on, saluted from the roadside by an honour guard of graduate entry Yorkshire’s finest and the CPS presumably.

The police didn’t intercede because they are not allowed to. The police were permitted an emissary, like Marco Polo, to put together a delicate statement, in conjunction with the Home Office no doubt. It’s all a bit late: the rest is theatre, or late Weimar cabaret.

Matters have been out of control for a long time.

Disclaimer: I don’t live there and am often wrong.

In short, if it appears that a group of people ‘run the place’ it’s not unreasonable to conclude that they do.

Well done Toby.

However, it should not be necessary for the FSU to write to the Charity Commission. The Police should have explained the law to the Imam and his assembled congregation of Muslim thugs AND the Government should take action against the imposition of Sharia in parts of the country where large numbers of Muslims live.
