Unwell adults should stay at home and wear a mask if they have to go outside, health chiefs said today amid warnings the NHS is facing more pressure than it did during the peak of the pandemic. The Mail has more.
The advice, issued by the U.K. Health Security Agency, also urges parents to keep their child out of school or nursery if they are ill and have a high temperature — classed as 38°C or more.
The actions will help minimise the spread of Covid, flu and scarlet fever which are “circulating at high levels” and are “likely” to keep rising in the coming weeks, it said.
It comes amid stark warnings that the delays for care caused by the NHS crisis are killing 500 patients every week, with top doctors telling Britons that the situation is “much worse” than the darkest days of the Covid pandemic.
Professor Susan Hopkins, Chief Medical Adviser at UKHSA, said adults should “try to stay home when unwell”.
Those that do have to go out should “wear a face covering”, she said.
Sick Britons were also told not to visit healthcare setting “unless urgent” and avoid vulnerable people.
Professor Hopkins said: “It’s important to minimise the spread of infection in schools and other education and childcare settings as much as possible.”
The ‘back-to-school advice’ also told parents to keep their child out of school or nursery if they have a high temperature.
Professor Hopkins said: “If your child is unwell and has a fever, they should stay home from school or nursery until they feel better and the fever has resolved.”
She also urged parents to teach youngsters good hand hygiene by practising regular handwashing at home with soap and warm water.
Children should also be told to catch coughs and sneezes in tissues and then bin them to help stop illness from spreading, Professor Hopkins said.
It’s also being reported that schools across the U.S. are bringing back mask policies this week.
It comes amid warnings that the NHS is on a “knife edge” and is facing its worst ever winter due to an A&E crisis that is “killing hundreds of patients every week“.
Dr. Tim Cooksley, president of the Society for Acute Medicine, told Sky News “urgent action” to ease pressure on the NHS with staff across the board warning that the current situation is “worse than it’s ever been”.
He said: “I know that people watching this will say, ‘well every winter you have doctors on that say that this winter is terrible, that it’s normal winter pressures’. But there is a complete acceptance from all colleagues now that this is different from all previous winters — and we need urgent action now.”
He added: “This situation is much worse than we experienced under the Covid pandemic at its peak. And so we need to think carefully about how we can manage this and I think we need some urgent actions.”
‘I know we always say the NHS is collapsing, but this time it really is’? Sounds like a case of crying wolf. Dr. Cooksley also fails to explain what exactly he wants the Government to do to ‘save the NHS’ this time – particularly when the present mess is largely a result of the ridiculous actions it took to ‘save the NHS’ previously.
And wasn’t it acknowledged at some point during the recent Strep A debacle that trying to stop the circulation of common viruses is bad for our health because exposure helps to top up our immune systems? What happened to that? Are we back now to the wrong-headed advice to hide ourselves away with our ubiquitous winter sniffles?

Clearly, the only reasonable course of action is to do the same stupid things again that didn’t work last time. I can accept ignorance as an excuse, even a little bone headedness, but these are supposed to be our brightest and best people with years of training behaving like they all forgot to do their biology homework. It stinks. I wont be masking up for anyone, anytime. I sincerely hope my fellow citizens will think likewise, at least in sufficient numbers to make a mockery of it.
These are not our brightest and best. They are the best hoop jumpers in our society.
And here’s Andrew Bridgen MP spilling the beans and acknowledging this has all been a Scamdemic:

Umberto Eco understood fascism well. Eco grew up under Mussolini’s fascist regime, which “was certainly a dictatorship, but it was not totally totalitarian, not because of its mildness but rather because of the philosophical weakness of its ideology. Contrary to common opinion, fascism in Italy had no special philosophy. It did, however, have style, “a way of dressing—far more influential, with its black shirts, than Armani, Benetton, or Versace would ever be.” The dark humor of the comment indicates a critical consensus about fascism. As a form of extreme nationalism, it ultimately takes on the contours of whatever national culture produces it.’
In Britain today, socialist fascism is alive and well and its name is ‘Our NHS’
Also “Antifa”, of course.
“health chiefs said today amid warnings the NHS is facing more pressure than it did during the peak of the pandemic”
because now the jabbed are suffering from adverse reactions and being hospitalised they are adding to the strain of the general busy season for the NHS
I read earlier (may have been here..!) that 25-30% of people who need to see a doctor, but who can’t access their GP, are heading to A&E. Similarly 20% of beds are filled with people who could go home if there was anyone to care for them in the community. This is a crisis that is wholly avoidable and fairly easily soluble if only we could get the NHS to change course by a few degrees. It won’t. It will be our fault for getting sick. That seems to be the core of the message. What health system runs on the basic assumption that if its citizens get sick, their first responsibility is not to call on the health system to help.?
What health system runs on the basic assumption that if its citizens get sick, their first responsibility is not to call on the health system to help.?
A health system having to cope with the real world where most people attending are bored mothers with toddlers looking for a chat. I still unfondly remember a day when I had to go to a doctor and was in so much pain that I couldn’t sit. The very nice receptionists kept me walking about the room in serious pain for three hours while every mother-with-toddler who came after me turned into a medical emergency once she would otherwise have had to leave to change the toddler’s nappies.
This is all planned for. It is intentional. This is a kill regime.
If this was all a planned massive murderous conspiracy, all it would take would be one whistleblower with a recording device (mobile phone) to reveal the most sensational story in history. How stupid would the conspirators have to be to take that risk?
No. Masks are intended to keep the perception of a danger in the air and to enable compliance. The following videos are by an actual expert with experience, not just qualifications:

Even more reason to calmly carry on to thwart the attempt to double down again on the populace.
One cannot comply one’s way out of tyranny.
Staying at home when sick has always been common sense.
Wearing a mask, not so much.
Remind me again…what is the definition of insanity?
That was the only thing that ever made any sense.
If you’re unwell, stay at home. Otherwise get on with your life.
Just cut and paste all of my comments from the last few years on this topic here because I’m done moaning about the same old bollocking pantomime horsesh*t. I’m over it!

You and me both, Mogs, you and me both.
Our utterly useless doctor’s surgery has, over the past few months, sent about 3 text messages to us locals saying NOT to contact the surgery as they are all sick! Strangely this often seems to be on a Monday morning. So what is one supposed to do eh? I find it unbelievable that a service we pay for can treat us as, really, just a bloody nuisance. Ridiculous masking advice is just a sop so they can say, “oh well, if you are not following advice you can expect to catch things”. Wouldn’t it be a wondrous thing if humanity has completely missed the point, and all we ever had to do to stop ourselves falling victim to an airborne virus was to stick a piece of cloth over our mouth and nose, because it seems to me that TPTB think this is the salve for many of the bugs that plague us. I will not comply with anything to do with masking (I never have anyway), but this time I think I will drop the polite smiles/explanation and start snarling and swearing instead.
A statement like this demonstrates that there’s still a serious attitude problem at the UKHSA. A person which is sick is a person with a problem, not a person which might become a problem for others. Hence, such a person should try to get some rest if possible, as this will likely speed up recovery. Apart from that, we’ve always maintained that these everyday sicknesses will usually be harmless, that everyone is sooner or later going to get them, anyway, and that it’s the job of the health system to deal with the (few) non-harmless cases.
As always, any socialised system will always fail.
People tend to love socialised health because “it’s free” and there is no personal responsibility required.
Australia’s system is very similar.
Most of my relatives defend the system to the end whilst whinging about the delays and poor service, but think it can all be fixed with more money.
All these relatives have chronic lifestyle diseases and steadfastly refuse to take any action (exercise, eat well) to improve their health, believing that is the state’s job.
Pathetic!
The problem the NHS (and structually similar institutions, eg, the armed forces) is facing is twofold: There’s a faction of people who see them just as an oppotunity for plundering public funds for themselves and their pet causes, eg, by creating EDI manager jobs and climate change awareness directors (I invented that one although I wouldn’t be surprised if it actually existed). And then, there’s a faction of people who are perfectly happy with that because all they want is such organizations to collapse. Nobody is interested in kicking the parasites out and making it work again.
Somewhat surprising conclusion: This means the woketards and their supposed enemies share a common goal and that the enemies are possibly mostly pissed off because the others a getting to plunder public funds (while they would prefer to found semi-private enterprises working exclusively for the state in a competition-free environment for the exact same purpose).
Heads need to roll, all of the people who have lied and distorted reality and lined their pockets with our money. There really is no alternative, but I don’t know how we are going to achieve the massive clean out of the Augean stables that is necessary.
When will they ever learn?
It has been a disastrous policy for the last 3 years and the pterodactyls are still coming home to roost.
“U.K. Health Security Agency”
Whatever their training, they’re thinking like biosecurity military intelligence people, not public health advisers. And that’s the game that set off the whole lockdown cult, as Robert F. Kennedy Jnr. well documents.

The uniform of the uninformed.
FOI requests show that UK hospitals was under less pressure during the ‘pandemic’ year of 2020 than during previous years so the comparison made by health chiefs is meaningless.
How about they Foxtrot Romeo Oscar. Instead of berating the patients, why don’t the management grow a backbone and get a grip. Sack the IED officers and the climate change officers and hire more nurses, cut bureaucracy and you know, actually treat more patients with all the extra money they have been given.
They need any excuse to cover the excess deaths , so any diversion rehashed from the last couple of years will be used !
When they start droning on about face nappies again, you know they are almost unimaginably stupid or being malicious.
Probably both.
This woman should be immediately sacked.
But won’t be.
Does this mean Whitty & Vallance have climbed out of their holes?. We have a phrase in the Black Country – ” Get stuffed, pork roll”
The best way to prevent your recovery, get even more sick and end up in a hospital, is to wear a mask when you are already sick.
Time for the health experts to be gagged rather have their mouths covered.
As long as they can keep the anxiety and panic up they believe they are safe and can get away with what they have done under the pretence of care and safety.
I would take the advice from these people with the same degree of trust I would take from Jummy Saville offering to look after my young daughter foe an afternoon,
