Levels of titanium dioxide that "systematically exceeded the acceptable exposure level" have been found in common face masks used for COVID-19, a study in leading journal Nature has found.
A new peer-reviewed study calls for a full investigation into the safety and environmental impact of disposable face masks after finding easily detachable plastics and heavy metals including lead in them.
