Scientists are scrambling to explain why the continent of Antarctica has shown Net Zero warming for at least the last seven decades, writes Daily Sceptic Environment Editor, Chris Morrison.
When global sea ice dropped sharply 10 years ago, there was no end of stories of the coming climate catastrophe. But the more recent dramatic recovery in sea ice has gone strangely unmentioned and ignored.
Three recent days – November 16th, 17th and 18th – have recorded a daily record of extreme cold at the South Pole. Inexplicably, these records have escaped reporting in the mainstream media.
A group of scientists has discovered that Antarctica's 'Doomsday' Thwaites glacier was melting twice as fast in the past than recently, for reasons that have nothing to do with human CO2 emissions.
The record temperatures yesterday were mainly found at airports. Using a change of wind direction to argue that the climate is undergoing long-term change primarily caused by humans is unscientific nonsense-on-stilts.
NASA says Antarctica is losing 147 gigatons of ice a year. With 26,500,000 gigatons of ice in the continent, this is an annual loss of 0.0005%. At the current ice melt it will all be gone in about 200,000 years.
More than 24 cargo vessels are stuck in Russia’s Arctic ice, waiting for ice-breakers to come to their rescue, after an inaccurate forecast from the country’s Met Office. It's climate change Jim, but not as we know it.
