So it turns out now that Freedom day July 19th, which we all waited for so long for, was the correct choice. Now we are better off than Europe, here, cases have not doubled even once  in 4 months, in Germany and other parts of Europe, cases appear to be doubling every fortnight. At such rates of expansion, healthcare will be exhausted there in a few weeks, or two months at the most.

That is why they are using  extraordinary measures to persuade  the vaccine holdouts to submit to the jab. They are desperate to do anything to bolster immunity levels, here, we took the chance to allow the virus to percolate in the community during July, August, September and October.

That's paying dividends now since it increases immunity during  the summer months when the health system was not stressed. And, as the months when the system gets stressed now draw near, we are using the booster program to squeeze through. If we manage to squeeze through without more panic measures, it will be as much to do with chance as to design, nonetheless, at this point, it looks like Javid and Johnson might have done good. Only time will tell.

Good analysis of the strategy.

Now we're approaching the hardest months, here's hoping more holdouts change their mind. About 30k/day are doing so.

@willing-vaccinee these anti-vax people are quite dim  and stubborn. It's most peculiar, they are willing to believe any rumour, except the proven fact that vaccine works, the landlord of our local, for example, had been adamant that he needed no vaccine, this week the pub's shut for ten days and his whole family is laid up with covid19. He messaged me that he doesn't know what day it is! being dim and stubborn seem to go together.
