Thanks for your reply - I live in St. Just, so perhaps we could form a local social group for get-togethers/ chat?
How are things now? Do you still feel that you are alone or are more people waking up?
I read today I MSM that St Just shop owners have banned together to make mask wearing a 'must' if people are shopping in the town, by using lots of signage.
We lived in your area until summer 2020, we knew only one other couple who were enlightened plus a local farmer and his wife we were skeptical but thats it.
@danlewis Interesting how things play out. I wear a mask in local shops because the peer pressure is off the scale - however, I work with a bunch of guys, and certain social situations, where masks are not required. Most interesting to experience the contrast and I'm used to adapting, according to the situation, within moments. Utterly bizarre. Totally illogical. Makes no sense on an epidemiological level at all. I'm just trying to muddle through while keeping aware - all very surreal!
It can be uncomfortable with others demanding you wear a mask despite the truth about covid when out in public; I think it can be easier if you aren't from the are and not local, as that peer pressure isn't there. The judgement and fear from some is palpable in specific shops; if people refuse to accept my exemption I just don't use a particular shop. Archie Browns in PZ has been very sensible and said its up to customers if they want to wear a mask; I shopped there twice last week and saw no staff or customers with masks, Sainsburys is far more relaxed too 🙂
