Professor Calum Semple is correct. Young children should not be vaccinated. It is better to use the vaccine for adults in third world nation, and not enough is known about possible side-effects if children were given Covid jabs.
I see no reason to vaccinate children. I think the majority of parents are gullible, and cannot be trusted to make wise choices in such matters. This decision should be made on their behalf by Parliament.

Basic public health policy is you dont vaccine people for a disease they're at zero risk of suffering badly from.
In other words, children do NOT need to be vaccinated.
There's a VERY disturbing trend now to use children as human shields to "protect" the adults. This is wrong morally, ethically AND medically.
As for parents authorising it. There needs to be mandatory reading of an impartial summary of the potential risks and benefits. Then a short exam.
Otherwise the parents aren't informed enough to be able to make a valid decision about their childs safety.
Asking them to authorise it WITHOUT full disclosure is dishonest.

An all-population average IFR is absolutely meaningless.
Its much much higher in certain demographics. These groups DO need vaccinating.
The IFR for a 60,70,80+ year old is much higher than 0.15. Move the decimal point over for starters.
