Hi all, this is my first post on this site. To set the record straight I’m not anti-vax I’ve had the usual along with others to travel to Asia so I don’t want the discussion to turn into name calling. I’m basically posting this to (I hope) find like minded people as I’m really struggling mentally with the daily news. For background I’m 29 fit and health with no underlying conditions. I work in an education setting so have been working throughout and don’t believe I’ve had covid or know anyone that has- fortunately. I work with a lot of ‘left teachers’ - again nothing wrong with that but as a younger member of staff I’m struggling to find anyone to talk to as people I work with seem to have one view only.
I’m struggling mentally with this ‘pressure’ and subtle threats for us all to be vaccinated. I fear I will be required to have it for my job and the pressure is messing with my head. I wholeheartedly don’t think I need it. I’ve weighed up the risk/benefit and until there is long term data I will refuse the vaccine. I’m also trying to conceive just to add more stress with the unknowns about fertility. Is anyone else struggling with the pressure? What’s concerning is the headlines and politics saying we all ‘must be’ and potential restrictions for those that haven’t been. Never in my life have I been so fearful for the future and sometimes feel like I’m the only one questioning the narrative. I’d love to hear from people who have similar thoughts. Thank you
