The proportion of adults in Britain who are unvaccinated has fallen by more than half since that report. And "it's much safer to be feared than loved".

It's interesting that that Imperial report was published, but I would file it under "social studies academics going off on one", rather than highly practically-minded academics doing highly practical work for the Cabinet Office, some of which won't be open-access. It reminds me a bit of the "sociophysics" explanation for why Trump won the 2016 US presidential election. Worth reading so as to be aware of it, but the rulers' real operational and strategic levels of understanding are far deeper than such texts suggest.

It's interesting that that Imperial report was published,.

It is . Since it shows that some researchers  are looking wider that the level of 'we'll force them all to get vaccinated by reducing their options'. I believe that the maxim 'every action has an equal and opposite reaction', is more general than plain rocket science, since humans are not cattle.

Similar reasons lie behind the finding that new roads do not relieve congestion (they bring more  traffic) and more airports will reduce queues (there are more flights).

This phenonmenon is behind the finding that lockdowns do not work. The non obvious impacts prevent them from working. We should commend lateral non-obvious thinking, that is what it means to be a skeptic. In my view, vaccine passports may bring a plethora of non-obvious deleterius effects to be wary of, and may not be worth the candle...
